After reading all of the negative reviews of this Pizza Hut, our family was intrigued. We decided to go and test it for ourselves. My wife and our two children came up with multiple categories which we averaged and created a blended rate for this Pizza Hut, which will be describe further below.
We rated this restaurant on nine categories: general cleanliness, amenities, restrooms, service, pizza, wings, breadsticks, menu selection and pricing, and parking.
Starting with restrooms, despite the numerous negative reviews about the restrooms, our families blended rate for the restroom cleanliness and overall functionality was a 4.
Next we reviewed the menu and we're not overly satisfied with the production quality yet however we did approve of the simple layout that the menu presented. Our primary complaint about the menu was the lack of pricing. They're literally was no pricing anywhere to be found. As a result, our families blended rate for the menu was a three.
Next, due to several comments and other reviews we decided to rate the parking. We were generally satisfied with the parking and how close the parking lot is to the restaurant itself. We ended up giving the parking a 4 simply because there was an odd curb that one was required to jump in order to get to the space. Admittedly this may have been operator error and there could've been a better entrance which was unnoticed by the driver.
We then discussed the general amenities of this Pizza Hut. We all agreed that the primary detractor from this location was that it was cold. There were TVs scattered about the restaurant, none of which were on. That led us to notice that there was no music playing either. Combined with the stained concrete floor the restaurant had rather poor acoustics which Magnified the sound of all those around us. One of our Reviewers was particularly fond of the shape of the windows. This observation significantly impacted the rating and lead to a blended rate of a 4.
Next comes the food. We started with wings and breadsticks. The wings received a unanimous vote of a 5. They were lemony and peppery just as advertised. The breading was thin and crispy. The breadsticks were good, as far as breadsticks go. One of our reviewers especially enjoyed the crispy bits around the edges and was found to be nibbling on them while neglecting the heart of the breadstick itself. The overall blended rate for the breadsticks was a 5.
And now, to the pizza. We all enjoyed the pizza there were plenty of toppings evenly distributed across each slice. It was not burned nor was it cold. In fact, it was just right. We sampled both the thin crust and the hand tossed crust. Overall opinions leaned towards the thin crust. However, the hand tossed was also satisfactory. The overall blended rate for the pizza was a 4.
And now for the final two categories, general cleanliness and service, we would like to note that both received a blended rate of 5. We were greeted cheerfully and promptly upon entry. While the restaurant appeared to be shortstaffed, the waitress was attentive and Friendly. From the time we sat down it took only 17 minutes to receive our pizza (see pizza review above).
All told, our average blended score for this Pizza Hut was a 4.2. The overall experience far exceeded the numerous negative reviews which we read prior to our visit. We would recommend stopping by the children's Pizza Hut when passing through town. Bon appétit! read more
