Lewis Joyner, I'm writing this review because I have contacted Kristy Abraham about the store here in Childress. Employees are constantly contacting me about issues going on. I quit December 19th because of issues with Ricky Johnson and a few of the employees. Nothing was ever done while I was still employed. When I contacted Kristy she said she would take care of the issues. They are still calling me..I just want you to be aware of the issues. I also have text receipt. They are serving food that has been dropped on the floor. They are using drugs on the property. They are trading product for drugs. They supposedly did an investigation, after they made the store aware of them coming. So I'm assuming they didn't find anything concerning since they were on alert. I just want the calls to stop. If they were going to fix anything they would have done so while I was letting them know what was going on. So I'm sure they will not fix the problem. Ordered pizza using the mobile app. Paid in full using my credit card. When the pizza was deliveres an hour later by door dash I was told I had a $8 balance. When I called the store Shannon was very rude accused me of yelling and kept talking over me. Very unprofessional. I attempted to contact someone in corporate to only be told someone from the leadership team will contact me in 1-3 business days. I'll be holding my breath. read more

The Childress Tx Pizza Hut does not have any fountain drinks. They do not have unsweetened tea, only bottled sweet tea. There is no salad bar. Maybe this is normal for Pizza Huts these days. The strangest thing about this whole experience is that there are no prices at all on the menu. When I asked if we have to just guess on the prices, I was advised that they would tell us how much we owe before we pay our bill. I do not remember ever eating at any restaurant or cafe that did not included individual price information on the menu. My husband and I were driving through Childress on a Sunday. In this town, most of the best restaurants are closed on Sundays. The few restaurants and cafes which were open were extremely busy, while the Pizza Hut had very few customers. My husband and I decided to eat at the Pizza Hut mainly to find out why so few people were eating there on such a day. While the pizza was adequate, and the bottled water was cold, we do not plan to eat there again because of the strange atmosphere, no fountain drinks, no iced tea, and no prices listed on the menu. read more

After reading all of the negative reviews of this Pizza Hut, our family was intrigued. We decided to go and test it for ourselves. My wife and our two children came up with multiple categories which we averaged and created a blended rate for this Pizza Hut, which will be describe further below. We rated this restaurant on nine categories: general cleanliness, amenities, restrooms, service, pizza, wings, breadsticks, menu selection and pricing, and parking. Starting with restrooms, despite the numerous negative reviews about the restrooms, our families blended rate for the restroom cleanliness and overall functionality was a 4. Next we reviewed the menu and we're not overly satisfied with the production quality yet however we did approve of the simple layout that the menu presented. Our primary complaint about the menu was the lack of pricing. They're literally was no pricing anywhere to be found. As a result, our families blended rate for the menu was a three. Next, due to several comments and other reviews we decided to rate the parking. We were generally satisfied with the parking and how close the parking lot is to the restaurant itself. We ended up giving the parking a 4 simply because there was an odd curb that one was required to jump in order to get to the space. Admittedly this may have been operator error and there could've been a better entrance which was unnoticed by the driver. We then discussed the general amenities of this Pizza Hut. We all agreed that the primary detractor from this location was that it was cold. There were TVs scattered about the restaurant, none of which were on. That led us to notice that there was no music playing either. Combined with the stained concrete floor the restaurant had rather poor acoustics which Magnified the sound of all those around us. One of our Reviewers was particularly fond of the shape of the windows. This observation significantly impacted the rating and lead to a blended rate of a 4. Next comes the food. We started with wings and breadsticks. The wings received a unanimous vote of a 5. They were lemony and peppery just as advertised. The breading was thin and crispy. The breadsticks were good, as far as breadsticks go. One of our reviewers especially enjoyed the crispy bits around the edges and was found to be nibbling on them while neglecting the heart of the breadstick itself. The overall blended rate for the breadsticks was a 5. And now, to the pizza. We all enjoyed the pizza there were plenty of toppings evenly distributed across each slice. It was not burned nor was it cold. In fact, it was just right. We sampled both the thin crust and the hand tossed crust. Overall opinions leaned towards the thin crust. However, the hand tossed was also satisfactory. The overall blended rate for the pizza was a 4. And now for the final two categories, general cleanliness and service, we would like to note that both received a blended rate of 5. We were greeted cheerfully and promptly upon entry. While the restaurant appeared to be shortstaffed, the waitress was attentive and Friendly. From the time we sat down it took only 17 minutes to receive our pizza (see pizza review above). All told, our average blended score for this Pizza Hut was a 4.2. The overall experience far exceeded the numerous negative reviews which we read prior to our visit. We would recommend stopping by the children's Pizza Hut when passing through town. Bon appétit! read more

Surprisingly good stop in the middle of Childress. We were looking for Joe's Italian, but the address was either wrong or who knows, but it wasn't where Yelp said it would be. So, the service was shockingly good even for a guy that looked like he was still in high school. He was on top of things and the pizza came out quick. The real shocker was how good and how cheap everything was! 2 medium any topping pizzas and 2 drinks for $15. We still have over half a pizza left because these pizzas were loaded with toppings! I wanted to give this place 4 stars, but there are a few things that made it a 3 star review for me. The bathrooms were very dirty, and the towel dispenser was broken and soaking wet from people trying to get it open. The tables weren't bused very well if they were bused at all, and the condiments were here and there. The parking lot wasn't thought out very well. There was a truck in a parking spot right in front of the main door that almost blocked the door from opening fully. Either way we had to shut the door before we could pass and get to our car. Great food, but not clean or conveniently laid out. When we got to the counter, there is no menu or direction. We stood in line to find out we could have just gone and sat down, and they would wait on us. The waitress took our order. Waited 20 minutes for sodas. She only brought them after we went to the cashier area and asked for our drinks. They do not serve any salad anymore. They charge for Parmesan cheese and red peppers. They delivered our order to a different table. This kept happening. Very unorganized. Pizza came out a little better than room temperature warm. was in Childress last week for a funeral, we ordered Pizza online, get there to pick up and they had run the mushrooms thru the oven by themselves cuz they forgot to pizza, then they only put it on half, I watched her do that. When it was my turn on the line, I told her I was there to pick up 2 pizzas. I told her one pizza had mushrooms on all of it and the other Canadian bacon and pepperoni. She said they were out of mushrooms, and jalapenos. I didn't ask for jalapenos, or did she say that cuz I am Hispanic? LOL..we counted a total of 6 pieces of Canadian bacon. After a visit to my brother and his family down in Houston we stopped in Childress to do some camping at Caprock State Park then Palo Duro S.P. before we make our way up to my place in Estes park Colorado. The stay in Childress left us eating at Pizza Hut. Food was great but the highlight was the super friendly atmosphere and the beautiful smiles. I would not recommend wasting your time or money here. The order was delived over an hour past the promised delivery time. Therefore the pizza was cold and soggy. The wings retained some heat, but were unsatisfactory as well. I called to check on the order after it was 25 minutes late and was told only 15 more minutes. 35 minutes later, the pizza arrived. We recieved no Ranch with our order, and when I asked for some, I was told "No, you didn't order any." This was incredibly rude to hear from the delivery person and I had to point out on the receipt that there was in fact Ranch on the order. Of course, the delivery person informed me that she didn't have any Ranch on hand. In fact, the whole store was out of Ranch. This was not expressed to us when we ordered. She tried to give me $2 back for the inconvenience, but I was already frustrated with the responses I had received and the lateness of the pizza so I declined. It felt really fake and rude. I asked why the pizza was so late and it was explained that the delivery person had flat tire. While I cannot prove the validity of this claim, I was able to find other reviews of this store where "late" and "short a delivery driver" is a common occurrence. Based on the lateness, and lies about the ranch, I would never recommend this place, even if I was offered a compete and free replacement of our meal, including a refund. read more

One pizza We waited about 30 minutes for the pizza. It was plunked down on the table during a rush. You could tell the staff was not prepared to handle multiple orders. The pizza that was delivered was pepperoni and mushroom. We are vegetarian. They went back to make another pizza. I don't know where to begin. I ordered online, order was to be ready by 7:49. It is now 8:15. That's not where the problem is though. Since sitting here I have watched 3 families enter, seat themselves, no greeting. One family finally got their drink order taken, but it has failed (for 20 minutes) to reach their table. They must be incredibly unorganized because they are unable to find our ticket to validate whether or not our pizzas go to us. I'm beyond annoyed.
