When Pizza Hotline popped up on the app, I knew I had to check this place out because, one, I thought their name was super cute, and, two, I saw that they had Cheese Bread on their menu! This family- owned and -operated pizzeria has their original location out in Charlotte Hall, so I thought it was interesting that they had opened up another location in the La Plata area. Their menu offers various appetizers, salads, pastas, subs, calzones, pizza rolls, pizzas, and desserts. Be sure to check their online ordering system out as they also offer coupons and specials. I ordered a small size of their Cheese Bread, which was Pizza Hotline's freshly made dough, topped with garlic butter and a 3-cheese blend of mozzarella, white cheddar, and provolone, served with a side of both the house marinara sauce and a Grandioso's garlic sauce. The Cheese Bread was made-to-order, and it came out PIPING HOT - it was super cheesy, and I loved that there was no upcharge for the garlic sauce and it automatically came as one of the dipping options! We ordered in person, and we were quoted that it'd be ready in about 10 minutes or so - we were actually waiting in the car, and the friendly employee actually came out to hand over our order - super nice! There are a couple of high tops inside for you to dine-in, but this seem to be more of a carry-out type of a place. I loved their vintage Coca-Cola hanging lamps! Favorite "fast" pizza in town. The dough provides the best crust and they don't skimp on the cheese. Kids demand it at least once a month. Only complaint is when picking up my pizza today, before I could even open up my wallet I noticed a dollar was added to my bill. Definitely a place that can be easily missed (I almost passed it) as it's a small place alongside a large shop that does framing etc. This is def not an eat in place, only carry-out. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it was some of the best pizza that I've had in a long time. My daughter and I ate the whole thing within minutes. I don't think I've ever seen her eat that much pizza at once. They do have a website that is currently under construction but you can still place online orders. The sauce makes the pizza, its unique but I can see where it wouldn't be for everyone. Where this place fails consistently is with the customer service. Do not, DO NOT order delivery. I get it that they are kids. I'm about 50/50 on needed corrections, and that's with pickup. If you don't make the trip for pickup order someplace else because the food will come cold and with mistakes. This is the spot for salads, always fresh, and they don't treat salad like the leafs are made of gold. The best pizza I've had in a long while. You can tell it's good by how it makes you feel after! Fulfilling slices, no bloated feeling, not gassy from the cheese. From the cheese to the dough everything just taste so fresh and real! This is coming from my 14 yr old! It honestly put Pizza Hut and Dominos to shame. Didn't even know this place was there! I attempted to use the website to order dinner last night. Wasn't the easiest to navigate. Then I entered the code for 20% off for ordering online. When I attempted to finalize the order the website said it couldn't communicate with the La Plata location and to call in the order. So I did that and when I gave the girl the coupon code she told me I couldn't use it. This is after I told her the whole story. She acted like I was annoying her from the very beginning of the call. She refused to offer any solution regarding a discount coupon. Bottom line, I canceled the order and order from Pizza Hut. Very sad because I prefer to spend my money at locally owned businesses. You're getting two stars instead on one because when you get it right, your pizza is pretty good. You don't get it right consistently. I ordered lady night and had to wait an hour and 45 minutes for my pizza. I live 6 miles away, it literally takes me 6-8 minutes to drive to your store. After calling twice to check status of the pizza it finally arrived. It arrived cold like it had been in the box for over an hour. It arrived with a bubble the size of my face making half the pizza just a slice of bread. This is the second time in a row that you deliver me a pizza with a giant bubble in it. I don't know that I'll order from you for delivery ever again. Since you can't take the time to quality control your product before it goes out the door. I know whoever boxed it saw the bubble the size of a plate, it's impossible to miss unless you're blind. Only way I could ever consider your shop again would have to be in person so I can check the pizza for you. That's not likely to happen because if I'm going to have to drive somewhere for a pizza, I'd drive to Napoli which is better. read more

The 411: this is a local pizza joint that delivers to (most) parts of la plata, MD. Their pizza is arguably the best in la plata, and I would recommend it over dominos, papa johns, Ledos and little Caesars. This place is locally owned and I believe that this place only has one other location about 20 mins away in Charlotte hall. Local businesses are good to support. The crust: It's not New York thin...this place boasts a rather doughy crust that is dense yet fluffy. Decently flavored, and quite filling in a good way. (Ask for it well done if you want a little extra crispness on your crust). The sauce: rather sweet in flavor, (I prefer a more tangy, less sugary sauce), but it's still decent and better than any other chain sauce. Cheese: typically served generously. When served hot, this cheese can get really stringy and delectable. Mild in flavor and low in moisture. Very typical and non-controversial. Toppings worth mention: their sausage is served in large chunks and they have great flavor. The pepperoni is always served generously and is just okay in flavor..it's not special in any way. The mushrooms are fresh! No canned mushrooms here. A real plus in my book. Price: not the best (a large two topping pie is $16), but they usually have some type of special to offer. Remember to collect your receipts over $10! If you get five, you get a free large two topping pizza!! They also serve decent salads, really nice strombolis (hella ricotta cheese!) and sandwiches and stuff. I'd stick to the pizza and strombolis and salad. I can't say anything about the rest because I've never had it in my many years of ordering from this place. Bottom line: this is arguably the best pizza being offered in la plata, MD. First time trying Pizza Hotline and frankly was not impressed. Our 9 year old guest did enjoy a personal pizza with sausage and extra cheese. However, we adults had ordered a medium white pizza with roasted chicken and vegetables and it was just so-so. We had ordered and were charged for mushrooms but NONE were on the pizza! Very disappointed with someones lack of attention to details. Secondly, the pizza needed some some seasoning and the amount of onions was very disappointing. I really hate to complain but I couldn't even eat my lunch today. I ordered the bbq chicken sub and asked for extra bbq sauce, simply because last time I got it it was dry with just a little bit of bbq sauce drizzled on top. It came sopping bbq sauce and the bun was soggy from being delievered over an hour later. Everything fell out of the sub when I went to eat it.
