We decided to try a new pizza joint. This place has pros and cons. You can order the salad with what you want on it and it comes nice and fresh. I really love that and the salad was a 10. Placed an order online for pick up. I have never tried them before. A friend recommended it and they have coupons! Ordered a large two topping pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms, mini churros and a two liter soda. I was notified of my order via text throughout every step, from being made, to cooking and then being ready for pick up. It's located in a small parking lot surrounded by 7-11 and a barber shop. Luckily there were a few spots but they do fill up quickly. Upon pick up, the employees were friendly. SO GOOD! Was craving pizza all day but, not just any pizza! I had an idea of what I wanted in my head of what kind of pizza I wanted and when I came across Pizza Guys and all their pictures. I was sold! Ordering was super easy. We got on Yelp, went to their website, made an account, and submitted an order. It was ready in 20 mins. Upon picking up they gave us our boxes and told us that we get two 2-Liter sodas from their fridge! That was awesome! Not sure why I got them for free but I was super happy to get them. I ordered their special, 2 mediums any topping. Forgot how much it was but our total was below $40 for two mediums and cheese garlic bread. I ordered an all meats pizza and their combo pizza. Both were absolutely delicious. Ingredients were fresh, the dough was fluffy, just overall the taste was pleasing. This was my first time here and I'm sure I'll be back. They're so good you'd want to buy them and eat them all, but you can't, because you shouldn't be eating all that dough in one sitting. After reading all the great reviews, I decided to try Pizza Guys.. I'm a big time Roundtable guy, and rreally haven't found another quality chain pizza. I called in and initially started a delivery order. But when I found out there was a $4 delivery charge, I decided to make it takeout since it was close by. Unfortunately they misplaced my ordered, but were very nice about it and offered me a second ice cream container for free. Everyone likes to get something for free. They give free ice cream and free 2 liter sodas with certain deals. For a Vallejo business, in a semi sketchy location, I was surprised the customer sevice was so friendly and attentive. Really liked how they had some great specials available. They are much less expensive than Roundtable. On the negative side, it was pretty greasy -- box was filled with oil. Pizza was pretty good, not as good as Roundtable. But for the price, I'll certainly try them again. read more

This has been our go to pizza place for 4 years. It is hot fresh and consistent. The employees still have customer service and are always kind and friendly when asking about specials. We ordered 6 pizzas for my son's birthday and they were all delicious and correct as they have been every time and we got free ice cream! We will continue to order from pizza guys. read more

Such a shame that there is a lack of good thin crust pizza in Vallejo, especially for delivery. Ordered a large pepperoni, sausage ,and mushroom. It came pretty quickly. The pizza itself was small for a large. It looked more like a medium/small. That is why I'm giving it only 3 stars for now, since I paid $30 for the pizza with one small pre-packaged ranch. With about sixty locations covering the San Francisco Bay area and beyond, Pizza Guys seems to be the "little chain that could." I found them by accident tonight, punching in "pizza" on the Tom Tom, and ending up at a place around the corner from a "Pizza Guys" locale - my first stop looked far too scary, even for an adventurous soul like me, so when I spotted PG in the strip mall across the street, nestled between a nail place and a liquor store, I thought I would give it a try. The window was plastered with specials and bright photos of product. The staff (take-out only) was affable and helpful. Not being a regular or local, I appreciated that they told me about their specials, so I didn't end up ordering a single pie at an excessive price. Seems the standard offer for them these days (as almost every chain) was two loaded large for $20 plus a free 2 liter of soda. I stood, seemingly staring at the menu board for a few minutes, while also spying the prep table. Process? Dough ball, sheeter, ladled sauce, moundsful of shredded cheese, ample enough toppings. The workers followed hygienic methods and the place looked clean. A conveyor oven is used. I went with a 12 Italian sausage, pepperoni, and linguica, they said "about 15 minutes", and I walked next door to a gas station that had a sheet taped over the brand name on the street, bought some bottles of water, and noted that they had one of those "fell off the truck" shelves of cigarettes - brands one has never heard of at 1970 prices. Ah, the changing landscape of America's burgs. I went back to PG and watched the hustle of the delivery guys and the comings and goings of people picking up. You get the free 2L soda when you pick up, or you can have a pint of ice cream. This applies for each item over $10, I believe it was, so if you pick up two pies, you are well equipped to follow up their ingestion with root beer floats. The pie was done on time, I returned to my motel room to inspect. Puffy crust rim, slight char on crust and linguica, ample enough cheese, with a texture that said "real." (Real California Cheese? Where's the contented cows? LOL) There's a bit of 'hang' as I pick up the slice, to take my first bite, assuming a Domino's or worst quality, but after the horrid coney pizza in Wichita, I was starving for even mediocre pie. I was pleasantly surprised! Pizza Guys is GOOD. Way beyond my expectations. Hand pulled Italian sausage was fennel flavorful. Cheese had a nice pull, melted touch. Pepperoni and linguica had just enough spice to have a little bite, and the crust was chewy and had flavor! A nice buttery-salt blend, that made it extra appealing to me. The ordering process was very easy and they send you a text letting you know when your order is ready to be picked up. They got my order ready really fast (faster than their estimated time) and everything was perfect. I ordered a medium All Meat pizza (signature Red Tomato Sauce on our Original Crust, topped with Mozzarella Cheese, Pepperoni, Salami, Canadian Bacon, Smoked Bacon, and Italian Sausage) and added jalapeños $25.53 (If you go in and pay inside sometimes there are additional coupons that can be deducted from your total). I absolutely love Pizza Guys. This is my Go-To for pizza here in Vallejo, considering I have not been able to really get behind Papa Murphy's, Straw Hat, or Round Table, and there aren't any real deep dish options available around these parts. That said, it isn't perfect by any means, but it is still a really great option if you are considering the likes of Pizza Hut or Domino's. Now, I have to say, the quality of the pizza here is really good. The crust is always soft and really tasty, so not exactly ideal if you are looking for a thin/crispy type of offering (although maybe they have that, I don't know. That is not what this review is about!). When the pizza here is good, it is really good. The cheese is just enough to create a nice crispy crust on top of the white sauce, which is super tasty, and almost never too heavy. I feel like a lot of times a white sauce can be absolutely overwhelming in the amount of garlic used, but that is certainly never the case here. The veggies are also super fresh and delicious, and the price for even a three topping pizza is pretty fair. That all being said, there have been a few times where our pizza was a nightmare. It is too bad, really, because when it comes as expected I would rate this place a 5*, easily. But twice in about... maybe 6-7 orders this year, we had pieces that were almost inedible. It isn't enough to call/complain/demand a refund. Not by any means. But it tarnishes 2-3 slices of the entire pizza. Once this was the result of the pizza being badly mishandled. It was clear to us that it was left on its side for far too long and that it had caused the cheese and toppings to oddly settle on to one side of the pizza. This might have been the fault of our DoorDash driver. The other time we had cheese bubbles so big and charred that we had to throw away a couple of slices because there was nothing present except for badly burnt cheese and crust. Too bad. I would love to give this place the five stars that I think it deserves. I don't think that I can do that just yet. But I do have confidence that the product here is very good, and if not for a couple of below-average experiences I would do just that. They routinely have really good deals that allow you to snag a good amount of really quality pizza at a reasonable price and have it brought to your door super quickly. Once the consistency gets there I will return to update this review. In the meantime, if you are thinking about another pizza place nearby, I would urge you to reconsider. Pizza Guys deserves a chance. And I would wager that you won't be disappointed. read more

I am so pleased that Pizza Guys came to Vtown. My husband cannot have gluten and that really put a damper on our weekend pizza splurge as the other local places are either not stocked or not good at Gluten free. The pizza was not only delicious but extremely fast for delivery and friendly service. The wings were just as delicious.
