I love pizza. Pizza Ghetti doesn't disappoint. They have a delicious thin crust style pizza and it is served up with great customer service. I have only done to go but they do have a seating area if you wanted to eat there where I have heard it's byob. A nice surprise in a somewhat not so nice area. read more

Okay little spot. Nothing fancy. Went there for lunch today with co-workers. It was fairly crowded, which was a good thing. One word to describe this place: simple. Now that it's a bad thing. Pizza Getti is comfort food for me. My wife took me here (8 years ago) before we were even dating. Actually, her parents went on their first date here in the 70's (different location). I do my best to go as often as possible. The Deluxe Original is the best pizza I have ever eaten, in my opinion. My wife loves the spaghetti with meat sauce and buttered mushrooms. I swear the ranch and Dr. Pepper tastes better here than anywhere else. Strange I know, but it's true. The salad bar is small, but covers all the bases, and is worth the trip. The restaurant is run by brothers, Kyle and Russell, who's dad opened the original Pizza Getti over three decades ago. Though they have moved a few times over the years, the family cooks all the food and greets you when you walk through the door. Don't expect amazing decor. Don't expect a large menu, but if you want really tasty pizza, go to Pizza Getti. read more

A little family own business, the owner of the place is super friendly and provided great service. The pepperoni pizza was delicious and not oily at all. I personally recommend that everyone should give this place a try instead of the usual chain pizza places (Dominoes, Pizza Hut, etc) that are usually greasy. read more

This place is BYOB so load up and head over. It's a small place with limited seating but the staff is extremely friendly. They could kind of tell we were first timers so we got a little history of the place. The pizza is fantastic. They make their own sauce. We ordered the extra large super deluxe I think is what it was called. Basically every topping they have on one pie. It's just good pizza. Bring some beer have some delicious pizza w extremely friendly service. This place is worth trying out. read more

I recently moved to East Dallas and I have been looking for my go to pizza place. Well I think I have found it. I stumbled on a mention about Pizza Getti on a message board. I Google it and was surprised to find it was just down the road from me. I have ordered Pizza here several times. The pizza is always good. The crust is almost like a cracker, the sauce is good and there is not too much on the pizza. The staff is very friendly. Decor is standard old pizza joint. I have not had anything other than pizza here yet.. I will update if I do try something else. So if you like thin crust and fresh ingredients.. this is your place. It beats going to one of those chains that deliver and you can support a local small business and enjoy good pizza. Win win in my book. read more

I LOVE Pizza Getti! I grew up in East Dallas and am kicking myself that I didn't discover this place sooner. I live in the suburbs now and will drive an hour at least once a month to eat here. The pizza is delicious. I love the crunchy thin crust. The salad bar is always fresh and the ranch dressing is to die for. The Dr Pepper is bubbly and never flat (I am very picky with my DP!!) My kids absolutely love the spaghetti and garlic bread. And Liz, the resident server, is friendly and welcoming. I love walking into a place and having the server know exactly what I want without taking my order. If you haven't discovered this place, please visit and I guarantee you'll be hooked! This place is Amazing. My fiance and I have been dining here for over a year now, and he's been coming here since he was a teenager. His family absolutely adores this place and when you come in, you'll see why. The pizza is awesome! It's worth the drive if you aren't from Dallas. We visit this place weekly for dinner or for a quick lunch. The lunch special is good and the spaghetti and garlic toast you get with it is the best. We usually order too much to take home and snack on later. They also have a dressing for your salad that's garlic ranch and it's delish! It's a family own business that caters to the customer and worth every penny. You can't ask for a better pizza. read more

Ok, nothing special, pizza wasn't all that or as fresh as I expected. I did like the thin crust. Lovers or cigars blows it away imop. Need to try other dishes too so its more balanced. A good back up choice and better than all the crap name brands in the area read more

My pizza was really not very good. It tasted like an old Pizza Inn pizza. And it was expensive for what you got. A two-topping, large pizza was $20. I could've got a better tasting pizza for less at Lover's Pizza (9440 Garland rd. suite # 162) or Cigarz Bona Pizza (7238 Gaston Ave). Sorry to say, but a $10 Pizza Hut pizza would have been better. read more

Everyone in my family from my mother down to my youngest nephew have worked at one of the Pizza Getti's over the years. And we still love their pizza, spaghetti and sandwiches. I started going to Pizza Getti in 1970. I have lived overseas and I have eaten in the finest restaurants all over the world, including in Italy, France, New York, Chicago, San Fran etc. Pizza Getti is the best. For what it is--no it's not filet mignon, crispy oysters, and scallop atop a zucchini latke as i dined on last night in Austin. What is is is great pizza--great pizza of a certain type. Great spaghetti, simple but good salad bar, homemade garlic dressing etc. And yes, the soft drinks do taste better than anywhere else as another reviewer said. Not sure why. I drive 200 miles once in a while to reacquaint and I am never disappointed. I get a large spagh w/meatballs, w/the toast it comes with salad bar & a rootbeer. I order an XL sausage and mushroom pizza to go to refrigerate & eat while I am in Dallas for Br, lunch & dinner. I have never gotten a dessert to my memory. Yes the mushrooms are canned but they are DELICIOUS. Fresh mushrooms would not be right on this old fashioned pizza. Someone said this pizza is not "gourmet." RIGHT! It's not meant to be. It is old fashioned and delicious so go here when that's what you want. Yes, if you want free range whatever or Kobe beef or capers or local goats milk cheese or a sunny side up quail egg or a reduction sauce & foam on your kashi crust panko pizza, and your big flourless chocolate dessert, no this is not the place for you. read more

This review site says not to review this business if you know the owner. Sorry, but if you eat here more than once, you too will know the owner. This is a small, place where everyone is family. My husband and I started going almost every Saturday night after our kids moved out. It's not fancy, but has the best pizza. I love the sauce and the crispy crust. The waitress always knows what we want to drink before we order. Our son who lives out of town has to get his fix of Pizza Getti anytime he is in town. Comfort food in a comfortable place. read more

This is the Pizza I grew up on...therefore nothing compares. It's homemade from scratch...family owned and operated. My family (Reese Family) has been eating here atleast once a week since they first opened in 1968 off of Ferguson Rd. I'm 28 years old and I live in Arizona now, and everytime I come back home to visit I take my 3 year old daughter to eat here so that she can know what good Pizza is and keep the tradition alive! I went to eat at this establishment with my friend we had decided to give it a try. When we walked in we were not even greeted we then sat ourselves. Our waitress was friendly but the overall experiance was horrible the menu selection was crap. The spahgetti took forever the pizza wasn't good honestly a frozen pizza from the store would of been better. One word of advice if your not white then don't go in there to eat they do not make you feel welcome. The entire time my friend and i felt discriminated some of the other people were rude to my friend. My friend is hispanic and I am Mexican, German, and Spanish. I felt the fact that we looked more hispanic was they saw as less important. I will never in my ife go there again or recommened their crap food to anyone. read more

As an Italian man, I have had some pizza in my day. This pizza place is a small joint with a family feel. It is family owned for many, many years and was taken over by the 2 sons, Kyle and Russel. Over 10 years ago I had visited there with business associates. That day I was hooked. One small pizza and a fresh salad bar for $8.00. The crust is amazing, toppings are filled up, and the service during lunch is handled primarily from one lady who can take on 20 tables--and know your name when you come back. It is personal...it's fun...and a great place to bring kids. This was the first place we brought our babies and continue going at 5 & 4 yrs. old. Now we make the extra drive 15 minutes more to get the real deal. This is the only food critique I have ever given on a small diner. It is not fancy. It's located in a shopping strip in a"not so hot" location. But during lunch you will find about 10 cops a day; business men & women from all professions; and at night you will find great families being free to eat without the worry of being quiet with your kids.
