We were here with a large group of friends to watch the Bears on a Sunday. They had a Sunday brunch menu. I ordered the chicken and waffles..it took about 25 min to come out, but I think they weren't prepared for such a large party. The pro is that the chicken and waffles were good! My husband had the chilaquiles. I would give it a 4/10. Didn't try any of their pizzas, but some people in our group said it wasn't very good. The Michelada could have used some more Miche mix.

Went here thinking we would be able to grab a quick lunch before a roadtrip. Instead, what we got was less than ideal. We ordered just a pizza and onion rings 5 minutes after sitting down. The server was lovely but the service itself was a letdown from the kitchen standpoint. It took them nearly 45-50 minutes to bring out our food while we stewed away in the loud music that played. While we were waiting, we inquired a couple times about the arrival of the food to which the response was "it'll be out soon." To compensate for the delayed service, they brought out cheese curds on the house. Aside from the too long wait time, the food was actually not too bad. We enjoyed the pizza and the onion rings that we'd ordered. The cheese curds were also good. I think that this place is probably better suited for going to watch a game or going at nighttime to enjoy the drinks. We didn't get any drinks so, cannot speak to if they are good or not. The jury is still out on if I'd go back because of this initial experience.

Came here on a whim with two friends and sat at the bar on a Sunday after lunch. The vibes of this place are nice. They play a great mix of Reggaeton, hip hop, top 40s and it's a large space. Plenty of room for a bigger group! When we arrived, there really weren't a whole lot of people. We were taken care of Katie who was alright, however overall wasn't super attentive. We first ordered 3 shots of tequila. That came out quickly, but at some point thereafter we wanted to order three drinks as well. My two friends got a tequila mule and I got one of their other tequila cocktails (Guayabita). She brought the two tequila mules for my two friends and then my drink never arrived. I waited and waited, assuming that it was going to come out, but I didn't. I saw her on her phone texting behind the register as well as talking to these group of guys that had recently showed up and sat in that area of the bar. I had to flag her down and ask for it and she said she had forgotten about it. She ended up giving me an "extra" one she made for another server and I was like what?? Lol. Secondly, we ordered the alitas (wings) with buffalo sauce and to be honest, they were very mid! The chicken tasted undercooked and dry or something. The buffalo sauce wasn't hitting like it usually does and the chicken wasn't good. It didn't come off the bone that easily. The only saving grace was the asada pizza we ordered which I do recommend. The lime with the accompanying sauces made it much more enhanced. We also received like a plate or two with each order even though there were 3 of us which was frustrating. Also, when I ordered the pizza when my two friends went to the bathroom, I got a separate receipt (check) which didn't make sense since our group clearly had a tab going. Overall - the vibes are great, but for our experience we could have not gone for the wings. I just wish we had sat in the back tables and had a different server. They didn't note it when you walk in, but they charge an automatic 20% gratuity to your check which I absolutely dispise when establishments do that because we should have the say in how much we want to add for a tip. The service was not great and therefore did not warrant a 20% automatic tip. Probably won't go out of my way to return anytime soon!

Great place to go with friends to grab a drink and dance. Ample space, great sound system, and moody lighting. Lots of tvs to watch games. A little loud for a Tuesday but looks like they definitely want to attract a young crowd, it is the same hospitality group as La Vaca on 18th. The pizza and fries were fine. The place definitely sells on ambiance and entertainment. Will be back with a group of friends.

for how empty it is this is ridiculous! Very disappointing

The place is set up nice, underground pizza parlor style. The Cubs/Dodgers game was happening at the same time. Got to watch some of that while we were at it. I will definitely be back!

While I am not a native, I have been a frequent visitor over 20 years and always brag on Lou's as the best of the big boys and as good as several of the lesser known neighborhood spots. Sadly, my last two in person visits have more closely resembled the frozen product they ship from their website. The most recent visit last week included 11 other family members who were "first timers" that had trusted my recommendation for the good stuff only to be disappointed by both the temperature and small amount of both cheese/sauce. We shared several large, medium and personal pies across the menu and I honestly can't say a single one measured up to the standard they have set for decades. The always delicious butter crust saved this from being a one star review, but my next visit to Chitown may not include another visit to any of the way too many locations.

It's still pretty basic with simple meat sauce and cheese, but I actually appreciated the simplicity--it was different without trying too hard. The highlight was definitely the BREAD for a starter! Super thin, perfectly seasoned, and so delicious. It also held up really well as leftovers later that evening. A fun little spot for a casual date night!

They push the Mediterranean Bread, and honestly, you should let them. It's enormous, blistered, fragrant, and arrives like a hot air balloon made of carbs. More importantly, it gives you something genuinely delicious to tear into while you wait for the pizza pot pies to emerge from whatever subterranean chamber they're baked in. It's both a starter and a survival tool. A reservation is non‑negotiable unless you enjoy contemplating your own mortality in a weekend crowd. The wait times can stretch so long you could starve to death before your name is called -- and the regulars will nod knowingly as they step around your skeleton. Plan ahead. The salads are comically oversized, the kind of portions that make you wonder if they're meant for a family of four or a single very determined marathon runner. But let's be honest: no one is here for lettuce. We're all here for the pizza pot pie, that molten, bread‑wrapped, cheese‑laden dome of joy that defies every attempt at categorization. It's not deep dish, it's not thin crust -- it's its own thing entirely, and that's the point. This is the place you bring out‑of‑town guests when you want to show them something uniquely Chicago without defaulting to the usual deep‑dish suspects. But it's also the place you come back to on your own, because once you've had that pizza pot pie, it lives rent‑free in your brain until you return.

When I walked by, it was very crowded, loud, and busy with a line going down the street. I decided to place my order online instead, but here's something you definitely need to know: ordering online does NOT mean your deep-dish pizza will be ready quickly.Mine took about an hour and 15 minutes which I was told is pretty normal because deep-dish takes a while to make. I had my little stool with me, so I sat outside, took some pictures, and did some people-watching while I waited. There is some street parking, but there's a large building across the street that looks like apartments or possibly a hotel, so parking wasn't the easiest. They have a little To Go area where you can grab drinks and other items. I also bought a couple of their frozen deep-dish pizzas to take home and I'm glad I did! I baked one at 350° for about 40 minutes and it came out gooey, gooey, CHEEZY Iwould've liked a little more meat on it, but it was still good. They ship also. I also ordered a small/personal deep-dish pizza while I was there. By the time I ate it, it wasn't as warm as I would've liked, and I'm one of those people who does NOT like cold pizzaI know some people love it, but that's not me! So if you're like me, I recommend eating yours as soon as you pick it up from the counter while it's still hot. I ordered a soda. Total about $75 If you plan to dine in, give yourself plenty of timeThis place is very popular and the line can get LONG. Overall, the pizza wasn't bad, and I would definitely go back and try something different next time. The frozen pizza I brought home and baked fresh was actually one of my favorite parts!

The mozzarella sticks were very silky on the inside crunchy on the outside and came with a nice flavorful pomodoro dip. The meatballs had an Italian sausage/fennel flavor and were very tender, and the zucchini chips were the star of the apps!! Nice and crisp, they were cut into little super thin chips not like a traditional fried zucchini and the dipping sauce on that was also delicious and super fresh tasting Finally, we tried the spicy vodka tavern style pizza and added pepperoni to half. It was great both ways, super flavorful and the crust was perfectly crisp without being dry or overly crumbly. Pepperoni was a nice addition but not needed for sure.
