    XL Pepperoni and sausage pizza

Yesterday, we wanted some pizza and wanted to try someplace new. Saw Pizza 72, so I thought we would try it since it's in the neighborhood. It's a nice clean shop, limited seating for eat-in, but comfortable. I ordered the XL pepperoni and sausage, extra parm cheese. 18" THIN CRUST $30.00. 30 minutes later , we had the pizza. Quick and easy. Crust has a good flavor, thin but not crispy. Folds up just right . For my personal taste, the sauce is a little blan. I'd like the sauce to be a little more tangy and spicy so you can taste it on your tongue when you take a bite. I'm going to try the Sicilian style next time. And make a final decision.

First off, I will say that I am not a pizza person. More often than not if someone suggests a pizza place I will turn my nose up. The word that comes to mind when I think of pizza is grease, grease grease. I do not like greasy food. The great thing about Pizza 72 is there pizza is not overly greasy or not really greasy at all! I love it! It was perfectly cooked. Not too charred and not too undercooked. Also, they put the perfect amount of toppings on unlike other pizza places that jip ya. The prices are a bit more expensive than a pizza chain, but I think it's worth it. The quality and taste is top notch and they have some pretty good deals. My sister and I got the 2 large, 2 topping pizza deal for $25, not knowing how big they would actually be. Needless to say, we have a lot of leftovers. The only reason I took off a star is because they seemed a little unorganized. They had lots of orders and I think their tickets were getting mixed up. I had a pickup order at a certain time and had to wait a bit longer, but overall not too big of a deal considering they are a newer business. And the lady working the front was very nice! Check this place out if you're around! And if you don't want a full pizza, you can order a 20" slice!

It was my first time here and it won't be the last. Ordered a Sicilian pizza. It was large for just the two of us. I loved the crust not being too thick and had a lot of great flavors. This is a locally-ran place. The staff here was awesome.

Clean and reasonably priced since August 2020. An intimate, local pizzeria with superb garlic knots and pizza by the slice. Easy online ordering. Friendly, accommodating staff and overall pizza goodness. When in A-town give it a try. You'll be glad you did.

I got the NY cheese pizza. No. Not even close. It's thick. The sauce is super sweet. I also requested crispy wings and these fall apart like they were in a crock pot

    Garlic knots yummmm

Really good overall. The sauce is a little sweet for my preference but better than most pizza I've had in the area.

Unfortunately despite having enjoyed their menu in the past, I DO NOT recommend anyone come here; if you do ask for a paper receipt and pay in cash to ensure you're not being overcharged. ((Full Details Below)) We loved this location due to the delicious chicken and fries, but have not been here in over a year since the new management. We ordered a whole chicken (10 pieces of chicken variety $28.99 with 2 sauces +$1 each sauce, Large Fries $7.99 + $1.00 for flavor rub, and one soft drink $2.99). The menu is slightly different than from what we remember so we asked for advice, one of the sauces came recommended by the waitress. Note that we already knew the price range and already expected to drop $45-60 for two people, including the tip. We get our food, 5 one sauce 5 another sauce, strongly disliked one of the flavors, we couldn't eat it. Ate the other 5 pieces, it was delicious. We ask if it was possible to switch the 5 pieces of chicken for another flavor, they said since they cannot take the chicken back to the kitchen they won't/cannot switch them with a different flavor, but if we place another order of chicken they will give us 20% off. We decline, we'll just eat the 5 pieces we did like and leave the ones we didn't. Oh well right? That's life. Waitress comes back and says they will give us a discount on the chicken. That's nice of them, thank you! She comes while i'm still munching with an electronic pay pad, no itemized receipt like at other restaurants, points the machine to my fiance to tap his card. Total is $47.something she says, I tell her i'm paying cash so please bring us a paper receipt. She leaves, my fiance comments "that seems high" me, i didn't notice at all. Waitress comes back with the paper receipt and we begin doing our own calculations. I notice that they charged us for two half chickens (16.99 each) instead of what we ordered which was a whole chicken with 2 sauces ($28.99, $1 each sauce = $30.99) That's a $3 dollar difference, in which we are overpaying by $3 than what we had originally ordered. Waitress tries to explain to us that they removed our original order to discount the chicken, but that still doesn't reason why they are charging us for TWO half chickens instead of just discounting off the whole chicken order we originally place. She says it's because it's one sauce so half of the chicken, so half chicken charge. Then we tell her that even with the discount, the way they are charging us for two half chickens cancels out the discount and we are still overpaying at the end compared to our original order. We tell them to remove their discount, we don't want it and to charge us for the whole chicken that we had ordered originally. Waitress goes back to talk to the manager and then comes back and "corrects" the problem giving us a 50% on one of the half chicken orders. This time we weren't overpaying, but they still never corrected the order to reflect our original whole chicken order, keeping the two half chicken orders. At the end if we hadn't noticed we would have left overpaying for a meal we didn't enjoy. The part that is most upsetting is that we were not rude to anyone, just told them we disliked the sauce, accepted when they said they wouldn't switch it out, we didn't ask for a discount, they offered it. Note we still tipped after this. I don't know if this was done on purpose but what I can say is that we felt deceived, we will not be coming here despite this being a staple food spot for our relationship. Very sad.

The place was small and cozy like. So we decided to dine in. I love the fact that everything is cooked to order, hot and fresh. I was skeptical because they had no lemon pepper seasoning. I know I know there are other flavors and I've tried plenty. I just always go back to good ol faithful lemon pepper. So we ordered the medium party pack. Which consisted of wings and tenders, and basket of loaded fries. Kenn got a Dr. pepper to go with it all. We heard the sauces were bomb. We got classic range, honey chipotle bbq, blue cheese dressings. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed ourselves... the chicken was crispy like I like it and the tenders oh my was delicious. We will be back.

I really try to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt. We've visited Golden Flame several times…read morespecifically because they have a dedicated gluten-free fryer and gluten-free sauces--something that's hard to find. But after being disappointed more than three times, it's clear a review is overdue. Each visit has had a different issue, which is why we kept giving them another chance. But last night was the final straw. My husband and I eat out more than we cook, and Golden Flame had been a convenient option. One night, we arrived at 8:08 p.m., well before their 9 p.m. weekday closing time. I told the employee I'm Celiac and require gluten-free. She warned me it would take longer because they had already shut down the gluten-free fryer. I said that was fine--we'd wait. The restaurant was still busy, with sports on the TVs, and people who arrived at 8:30 got their food before us. When I finally asked for an update, she said the fryer had to be started back up. Our food didn't arrive until 8:50, and by then the staff was actively closing down the restaurant--cleaning, sweeping, spraying tables--right next to us while we tried to eat. The smell of chemicals and dust was so overwhelming we left half our food behind. Next time, to avoid being "inconvenient," we ordered takeout. The fries were ice-cold and the wings were oddly chewy--even though we live less than five minutes away. Then about a month ago, we showed up at 8:20, only to be told again that the gluten-free fryer was "off for the night." The dining room was still active, with multiple families eating, so it wasn't a slow night--they simply didn't want to turn it back on. We gave them yet another chance last night. I walked in at 7:56 p.m., more than an hour before closing, and the first thing I did was ask if gluten-free was available. The employee checked and said, "Yeah, it's off. It'll be at least 20 minutes before we can cook anything." At that point, I didn't even bother ordering. At this point, it's obvious Golden Flame doesn't want the business--at least not from anyone who needs gluten-free accommodations, despite advertising them. There's another wing place in town with a designated fryer, better sauce options, way better fries, and staff who aren't more excited to go home than serve customers. I'll gladly drive the extra 10 minutes for food--and service--that's worth it.
