I contacted customer service multiple times and instead of troubleshooting the issue properly, I was repeatedly told that I "have to use their router." That is simply not true. Customers are allowed to use their own compatible routers. Being told otherwise felt dismissive and misleading. I requested that a technician come out to check or replace the modem since the service clearly is not performing as advertised. I was then told I would have to pay $150 for a technician visit. Why should I pay to fix equipment or service that is not delivering what I am already paying for? On top of that, customer service was extremely frustrating. Communication was difficult, and resolving anything felt impossible. There was no ownership of the issue and no real attempt to fix the problem. After this experience, I have decided to switch providers. I would strongly recommend researching other options before signing up. The speeds have not matched the advertised service, and the customer support experience has been very disappointing.

Spectrum is a horrible company. Everything from customer service, to technical support, to their…read moreretail location, to the equipment they provide you and even their end product (Internet in our case) is very bad. And if all that were not bad enough, they are expensive and their business model is to abuse existing customers with steady price increases. We have had Spectrum Internet for years and years. I called around 6 months ago, to ask if they could help us save some money on the Internet. Sure! the nice lady on the phone said. For just a $70 one-time service fee, they would bring and install new and updated equipment while also saving us $25 a month on the Internet. Great! The technician came and did the install. He said he tested everything. And... drumroll please... none of our tvs could connect to the new Internet. Nor could some of our other WiFi based home conveniences. So I called and they sent another technician, who was more thorough and honest, who explained that the new router wasn't strong enough to reach the nearest tv, which is about 15 feet from the router. So, the ten year old router reached all of our stuff, but the new one couldn't. Nice. We had to buy an Amazon eero system to extend the internet to our devices. After all this, the tvs still only connect sometimes and are slow, compared to the old Spectrum system. Spectrum simply doesn't care about its customers. Zero stars. (Unfortunately Spectrum is also a near monopoly. Only other choice for Internet here is Starlink.)

In the past 10 years, the internet only went down once--and that was during a windy day back when we were in Rancho Cucamonga. 3) The internet speed is always fast and stable. 4) Their tech support is helpful and easy to reach when we need them. Overall, Geolink has been a great partner with excellent service and support. I highly recommend them to other businesses. Thanks for keeping us connected for the past 10 years. So we know this isnt true and we didnt care we but he went on and on. We didnt ask about the tv, we just needed the box looked at. He didnt change anything or fix the box he said, here i have another one in the car..... Sketchy Then he came back with the same box but with a hastly slapped and crooked 'Frontier' sticker on it as to trick us. As if we didnt know. What an illusion. He just left with our box, put a sticker on our box when we couldn't see and came back. Right when he left we took the sticker off and it was our verizon box, the same one, same serial number. (after telling us why everything in our house was the wrong choice to buy for an extra hour hoping he would leave) I mean cable places always get a bad rep, its not their fault its just, i hope he's having fun. 5 stars

I constantly read the negative feedback about Spectrum. People saying they don't get good service,…read moreor the internet, home phone & mobile service stinks. I can't speak for everyone but I disagree with their comments. I don't have those problems. Many years ago, they bought out the contract I had with AT&T. I consider AT&T the worst when it comes to customer service & their plans. U-Verse was the best until AT&T put me with Direct TV, which they unfortunately own. The service went downhill. I was constantly talking to AT&T reps from India who had no clue what they were doing. AT&T loves to raise prices within a month or two. Always telling me they're upgrading their TV & Internet service. I constantly had to fight with them to agree with the contract they put me in. Adding junk channels I don't watch or understand. Towards the end of my relationship with them, they put me on a new two-year contract instead of one. Then they threatened to fine me if I left. Spectrum saved me from them & paid the AT&T contract off. AT&T still tries to ask me to rejoin them, I refuse & decline as they haven't changed how they serve their customers. I've been with Spectrum for many years. I used to have their TV service. But once the contract was up, the prices slowly went up. That's when I switched to YouTube TV. I have an Android box & can download many apps that offer free TV and movies. I only have Spectrum internet & home phone. The home phone service I rarely use because I use mostly my smartphone. The internet on the other hand, is great. Spectrum gave me a free upgrade internet box. My download speeds are now around 350mbps. To me that's faster than the previous. There are outages. But who doesn't get those? I don't complain. Also understand, your devices must be able to handle the download speeds. If you have old TVs, internet boxes, phones, tablets, PCs, laptops, gaming consoles, etc., they won't get the same speeds as the new boxes & equipment. So if you get a chance, upgrade your stuff, so you'll get the internet or mobile speeds you're paying for. I came to this location hoping to lower the Spectrum price. Recently, they raised the price on my monthly bill by ten dollars. The reps gave me a promotion which lowered the price from 15 to 20 dollars for one year. I was very happy. New internet companies are moving into Simi Valley, so while I wait for them, I'll be sticking to Spectrum. In the end, I get great customer service from this location. I can't speak for everyone, but from my experience, it's been superb so far. I get fantastic internet speeds & phone service with no problems. I'd rather be with Spectrum over AT&T. If I have to speak to someone over the phone, at least the reps are here in America & not in India. I never want to return to AT&T. They still provide slow internet speeds, they still break their own contracts by raising monthly prices & then tell their customers the prices go up because of upgrades. Spectrum at least is more reliable than them in my opinion. I'm staying with Spectrum.

I indicated I'm working from home and needed it now. They said shipping would take 2-3 business days; that was not satisfactory. I said send a tech with the equipment. They said it'll take a couple of days to set up an appointment. I suggested that I pick up the equipment at the Simi Valley Town Center. They said great idea. Why do I need to find the solution?! When I returned the equipment, I questioned why my rate went significantly higher. To reduce the cost the store manager offered a promo that included Internet and an additional line I didn't want or needed. They guaranteed $60 would cover same Internet service and an additional line. To my utter shock, they billed me $75 for the Internet and an additional $30 for a line I never wanted nor needed. I returned the equipment but they wouldn't cancel the services and that I would be billed $105 regardless and only the store manager can reverse the charge and I would have to go back to the store to discuss. I left my number for the store manager to call and reverse the charge. I have no faith so I went on line and canceled all services. I was a 14 year loyal customer.

Let me share with you an awesome experience with the founder and owner of The Device Lab, Austin,…read morewho is calm, cool, collected, down to earth, and who impressed me so much that I feel compelled to share my story here. I would like to express my appreciation of Austin's professional ingenuity and get the word out that he is head and shoulder above Genius Bar in what he does-- device repair. Price is reasonable. Here is the quick story: Last Saturday (08-15-2026) I took my 2016 Apple MacBook Pro to Apple Genius Bar for diagnostic and repair, where I was received with utmost courtesy, waited there patiently for 1.5 hours, witnessed my computer given all kinds of diagnostic tactics by the receptionist, who did with all her earnest effort to revive it. Unfortunately I had to leave Genius Bar with the announcement that my MacBook Pro is "beyond repair." Unconvinced, I tried my luck on another store from online search and found The Device Lab, and Austin fixed it! Well, an old computer is an old computer and there is no need for much fuss or excitement about this triviality. But Austin left me with another impression: his sincerity and ability to do what he sets out to do, which is to repair. What can be cooler than a man who delivers his promise by doing what he likes and is good at? I spoke to Austin and found his business philosophy reasonable and truthful: doing what he likes, helping people, figuring out the cause of problem, getting things fixed without having to resort to replacement ( a favorite recommendation from big companies...). Behind this work ethic and principle is another guideline that directs his work: trust from his customers. I like that! O, by the way, there is another reason that urged me to write this review for Austin. He told me he started this company over a year ago, and I see in him what I had to go through back in 2004, when I started having my own tutoring center. I understand how a small business like his lives on word of mouth among customers, as it was with my own company. I also understand how negative comments tend to travel ten times faster than good, appreciative feedback. I think it is fair and natural that I share my thoughts with those who may be viewing his website for selection. One more thing: I live locally, and I love supporting local small business! The moment I walked in, I noticed how warm and welcoming everything felt. I even complimented the owner because it's so different from the typical plain, white-wall repair shops. It felt chic, cozy, and thoughtfully put together. Love how he immediately gave the credit to his wife, you can tell he is extremely proud of her work and rightfully so because I would hire her to make my business look as cute as The Device Lab. Great service, great pricing, and a beautiful space. highly recommend! Thank you again, I know my Daughter needs an upgrade but the IPhone 11 will do for now.
