My family and I have been going here since they opened a few years ago. Unfortunately, they changed their entire menu overnight. The service is slow. It takes over 10mins to get your food even in you're the only car in line. They have pictures of old items on the menu but they don't actually "sell" them anymore. read more

I first want to comment on the employee that was behind the counters not wearing a mask talking on an ear pod he touched his crouch. How disgusting! Now on to my food and service, at the counter the young gentleman that helped me gave exceptional customer service. He delivered my food in sealed bags which I had no reason to open and inspect. I drove the three minutes back to my office only to find the entire order was incorrect. Okay... so let me keep it 100, this place is in a $h!t location but don't let the 8 people living in their cars in the parking lot of the strip mall they're located in detour you from eating here.... The food is fire! My go to is #9 Dbl bacon cheese burger meal. It isn't cheap but no more then a Carl's Jr and the food quality's way better! I have yet to be disappointed. Now, does it take a solid 10-15 minutes to get your food , yes, but that's because it's not pre-made microwave food. I just realized I have never left a review. We started going to Five Star when it opened. Delicious hamburgers, both beef and veggie. My son and husband get burgers and shakes every Friday. On the Fridays that I get to join or at least drive over to pick up the food I am always impressed with the customer service. The young people working there are also so personable. We wanted to like this place. Ordered on line, went to the drive through to pick up because we didn't realize there was a front entrance that was open. There was only one car in line so didn't think it would be a long wait. We waited a total of 20mins. The food was cold, burgers were cooked rare and the bacon was chewy. We ordered medium well burgers but the inside was literally pink, almost red. The burger grossed me out I tried to eat around the sides where the meat normally is cooked more but nah, still rare. The onion rings were good and would probably have been really good had they been hot. The fries would have been good too if they were hot. The milk shakes were good tho. The drink that comes with the combos is like a drink for a toddler. Comparable to the size they give you on airplanes. But what was the worst is that the food literally went right through us. Stomach rumbling. I was in the bathroom all night and again in the morning. My body ferociously rejected this food. Also, I don't know if it was an encampment or a bunch of tweekers hanging out right in front. This is why I didn't realize there was an actual front entrance that was open. Literally tweekers all over, poorly lit, we did not feel safe. I frequent this lil strip mall all the time for other restaurants, even the Granite Expo n have no issues...but where this business sits and the closed down one next to it, it is super dark and disgustingly dirty. "Pittsburg Five Star Burger" Location - Pittsburg, Ca Combo #9 - Double Double Bacon Price - $10.67 ($9.79+$0.88) Pittsburg Five Star Burger: This location serves as it first location in the East Bay Area. Sitting off Harbor St, across from the popular "Country Skillet" this popular burger joint is here to make a statement. "Five Star Burger" making this location it's seventh location with Modesto, Vallejo, Stockton x2, Lodi, and Merced being home to the others. The food and quality they bring have a good word of mouth following. Having visted their Vallejo locaton a bit ago, I was excited to hear they had a location coming to Pittsburg. This place has a menu that definately gives the corperate giants a run for their money. What I like about the burgers here is that the meat they use is fresh and never frozen, and you get what you pay for here. They use crinkle cut fries which is a favorite of mine aside from shoestring, and they don't start making it till you order it, so you may have to wait a few moments when you're at the drive thru window. So on this visit, I had pre looked at their menu and knew what I wanted. So now let me tell you about it.. Combo #9 Double Double Bacon $9.79 - Now let me tell you, this burger was amazing! It was presented very neatly, it had..Two All Beef Patties, Special Sauce, Lettuce, Cheese, Pickles, Onions on a Sesame Seed Bun. No, this isn't "Mickey D's" but that's what it was, and how their burger need to be, yea I'm talking about you.."Mac" oh I almost forgot the Bacon, yes that was on there too. I dismissed the pickles, don't like them on my burgers. This burger was so fresh and juicy, the toasted buns really kept it all together nicely. I liked the fact it was wrapped and then put in a carton, and the presentation was very nice. This combo came with fries, crinkle cut standard or you could substitute it for one of their other offerings (see menu). The fries were perfect, not overly salty and fresh for the type of burger I had, this type of french fry really paired well with it. Oh and you get a drink as well, just a pink lemonade, nothing too special, perfect for this meal and the hot day that was this day. In Closing: "Five Star Burger" is all that and a bag of chips. The service is great and the food is even better. The menu you will see a few things that you normally don't see on a burger joint menu, and for me this place is so close to home. In a time where supporting small businesses is key, this is one that I recommend anyone in the are to support. I'm proud to have visited this place and I could see myself coming time after time.
