Pastrami Sandwich No tomato with Avocado

This sandwich exceeded my expectations. The pastrami was tender, flavorful, and piled on generously, while the avocado added the perfect creamy balance. The fresh lettuce gave it a nice crunch, and everything came together on soft, fresh bread. Every bite was packed with flavor. I'll definitely be ordering this again.

    Hot Pastrami Sandwich on sourdough!

If you're anywhere near Pittsburg, California, do yourself a favor and stop by Nick's Sandwiches. I had the hot pastrami on sourdough, and it was hands down one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The pastrami was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and stacked generously. Paired with the warm, slightly crispy sourdough bread--it was pure comfort food heaven. The service was friendly and quick, and the shop had that classic local spot feel. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Whether you're a sandwich lover or just hungry and in the area, Nick's should be at the top of your list. Highly recommend. I'll definitely be coming back!

Was in town for work and we were feeling a homemade sandwich. Did some research and landed on Nick's. To say we were pleased is an understatement. The service was great, the vibe was quiet, and the sandwich was sensational. Everything tasted fresh and the sourdough loaf was perfect. I had the Cali Club and my coworker had the Italian (#3 i think). Highly recommend, will be back!

This was my first time coming to Nick's and the service was great. We went with a recommendation and got the hot pastrami with Dutch crunch bread. The sandwich was good, but it didn't blow my mind. I think their stink sauce could've been stronger on flavor, I didn't taste it too much on the sandwich. Overall, I would come back and try some of their other sandwiches. It's a great place if you're looking for something fast. Our order was ready in less than 5 minutes.

Came here to say for lunch during a work trip. Solid little deli. Service was quick. The place was small, with not a lot of seating, but it seems more like a grab and go kind of spot. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food. I ended up with the breakfast sandwich. The Stinky Sauce was delicious. I'd definitely get that on any sandwich I ordered.

Bagel with cream cheese. They literally put the whole block of cream cheese on my bagel and didn't spread it.

Do you have gluten free bread for sandwiches?

I've been here 2 times in he past week and it says open on yelp and it's between there open hours and it's closed? Are the hours in correct? Did COVID-19 put them out?

I have been there 2 times since i just moved here, and last time was about 2-3 weeks ago; i think? But they seemed fine. I havent seen any notice on their doors and nothing on yelp :/…

Where do you get your bread from?

Our amazing bread comes from Raymond's Sourdough Bread in South San Francisco. Hope to see you soon. Thank you.

The space is thoughtfully designed--open, comfortable, and visually appealing, with a unique wall-style menu and a well-executed bar setup. I appreciate the creativity in the menu, especially the blended lattes, which are not commonly found in specialty coffee. That said, the drinks themselves have been inconsistent. At times, the balance between espresso and milk is off, and sweetness levels can feel a bit overwhelming. Service has been mixed but at time defensive and in some cases while not intentionally unfriendly, interactions can feel somewhat unwelcoming, and there have been moments where a more engaging, knowledgeable approach would have made a difference. How do you not know the oz of you cups? I really wanted this to become my regular spot given the convenience and potential, but the overall experience hasn't quite matched expectations. With some refinement in both service and drink consistency, this place could truly stand out. Salted maple latte would hit but it was was too sweet and over all i could tell the shot was underextracted. Yet still gave 30 percent tip because grace is given even when we dont deserve it but this review i hope is considered. Hoping these things will shift that I could come back.

In the corner of The Hen and Drake is a pianist playing some lovely tunes that set a very nice mood. The food presentation was impressive: We were given a small plate that held about two bites of salad. The bottom plate of the tray held finger sandwiches: egg salad and cucumber with cream cheese. The croissant sandwich had a thin slice of apple and sliced ham and cheese. The middle plate had freshly baked scones served with passion fruit curd. They were delicious and had a slight crunch on the edges of the scone as you bit into it. The top plate held desserts : individual fruit tart , french macarons( not made inhouse), and a lavender infused dessert with a creamy center. Every dessert was a "delight" to eat! The first time, I was deciding between two drinks and asked the cashier which one she recommended. I went with her suggestion, but after trying it, I realized I really didn't like the taste. I politely asked if I could switch to a different drink, but was told no because of the store's policy. While I understand that policies exist, I later called the customer service number listed on their social media to confirm that this was indeed their policy. Instead of addressing my question, the person I spoke with seemed more concerned about asking, "How did you get this phone number?" That interaction felt unprofessional and dismissive. My second visit wasn't much better. My friend and I walked in, and the cashier didn't greet us or acknowledge that she'd be with us shortly. She was making another drink, looked over at us, then looked away, and we waited about five minutes without any acknowledgment. When the customer she was helping came up to pick up their drink, she took the time to have a brief conversation with them while we continued waiting to order. When she finally came over, there was no apology for the wait or even a simple "Hi, how are you?"--just, "What can I get you?" The coffee may be good, but customer service plays a big role in the overall experience. Based on my two visits, I think there's a lot of room for improvement in how customers are welcomed and treated. Unfortunately, these interactions have made me hesitant to return.
