Had a great evening here. Loved the feel of this place. Well preserved history. Clean. Great view of the lake. My wife loved it. She said the place made her feel happy. There was a limited menu as they regaIn staff but plenty of good choices. Owen did a great job on service with plenty of followup. We will be back.

Came here for drinks only, so will update review if ever I eat here. I absolutely loved the interior of the bar, there was a green light under the lip of the bar that added a cool glow that was different from anything I've seen before. The whole inside was made of wood, from the bar, to the walls and floor, as well as the bar chairs. It gave it a Twin Peaks-esque feel that I absolutely loved. The bar chairs were extremely hard and uncomfortable though and could definitely use some padding. I did appreciate the purse hooks, that's always much appreciated. The bartenders were extremely pleasant. I'm not sure if they were new, but they seemed a little confused by some of the drinks we ordered. Ex: giving us Pinot Noir instead of Pinot Grigio. There was also not nearly enough Brandy in the "famous" Old Fashioned. I was VERY intrigued by the Bloody Mary but I wasn't in the mood for one. Someone on the other end of the bar had one and it looked really really good! The bar was noticeably HOT and super uncomfortable, my whole group agreed. It's June and it was much cooler outside than in the bar. I couldn't wait to finish my wine so I could get some fresh air (the patio looked very nice but was covered with clouds of smoke from the patrons smoking outside). All in, I would go here again. Definitely some potential!

Our group of 6 snowmobiled here recently for dinner on a Sunday night. We loved the place that evidently has been here since the earlier part of the last century. Beautiful decor with fireplaces and comfy chairs. Very good service also. I had the big 1/2 lb cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers I ever had in my life. They use bison for the burger meat and it was crazy good and cooked perfectly. The bloody mary comes out in a fish bowl like schooner glass and is loaded with veggies, shrimp and what not. The bananas foster for dessert was also excellent. I would love to go back here and even stay at the resort next time along with dining here.

The food was great, along with the service was good. I just thought the buildings could use a little work

Great food. Great drinks. Awesome atmosphere. All the bison meat for the burgers comes from their farm in the UP.

Was working with a local realtor one morning at this unit's kitchen table when a person without knocking ENTERED ROOM, then, quickly left without a word. Numerous front desk visits and two phone calls by me after checkout over a two week period, found General Manager, Mr. B..., unavailable. On 9/4/2025, I received a return phone call from General Manager. Was told he and an Asst. Manager found lock on door of said unit operable and working. During my four night stay in the one bedroom unit nearing $400 per night for room and attached room fees with an inoperable interior security door lock, I was credited $25 per night ($100 total). I expressed compensation was inadequate. General Manager said he would look at interior lock again. If still inoperable, he would reconsider additional compensation. I requested a call back on his findings. Will add to this post at that time. (Note: This was my third stay at this resort over a fourteen month period.)

We pretty much were the only ones in our wing of the lodge and it was great. Great showers, great roomy room, and view of what would be a lake, but it was iced over. The room was nice and cozy warm too. It would have been nice to have a channel to know what we were watching but we were gone a lot. Room service was great too! Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. One thing, feedback wise, is maybe to put a door before the hallway where the rooms are. The voices echo in the lobby and we could hear them all the way down the hallway. A little thing, but we noticed it. We would definitely stay here again, it was delightful and a great find!!

If you're in the area, shop local and don't stay in one of the chain hotels. Places like this deserve business.

The kitchen is stocked rather well with most cooking and serving items you need for meals inside. Patio has a small grill. Our two bedroom two bathroom unit has one bathroom on each level. That means no master bathroom. We made it work for us for the time we were here. One thing we didn't like is there wasn't any extra boxes of tissues. We came for Spring Break and we have seasonal allergies. Thankfully we didn't run out of tissues. There was plenty of towels and tp, oh and blankets. Decorated in mountain cabin and bear motifs.
