We took my mother-in-law to the doctor and decided to grab some lunch. My husband's been to this place before and liked it. However, today he was a little disappointed at the Pizza. Such a unique pizzeria! We ordered the broccolini and brussel sprouts and bacon pizza. The broccolini had an incredible flavor and the Parmesan and lemon flavor complimented the perfectly cooked veggies. The brussel sprout and bacon pizza was one of the most unique pizzas I've tried, but the flavors again went very well together. It's a little spicy which gives it more depth too. The sourdough crust was a nice finish to each slice. The outdoor seating was especially perfect! They have a small area where you can get your own utensils and plates and water and all of the tables were spaced apart well for covid and I love the outdoor fire pit. A few buddies and me were meeting up to open some of our beers and got hungry. This place was in walking distance from the apartment we were at. I can't emphasize this enough. Super convenient for the folks who live in the apartment complexes nearby. We ordered two pizzas. The honey bear and the burrata. I picked the honey bear because I recently had honey with chili at another place and loved the combination of the honey, sausage, and ricotta. The flavors and textures just work so well together. The burrata had a healthy amount of arugula on it with nice servings of creamy burrata cheese on top of that. Another great combo! The prices were very reasonable for what you get as well. We split these two pizzas among four people and definitely couldn't eat it all in one sitting. We only ordered for pick up so we could bring them back and enjoy them with some craft beers. We were looking for a spot in the area recently to have a business dinner at and treat some folks to a decent meal. I like Pit Fire's location, it has a big outdoor area, but it's off the sidewalk, more secluded. So we got a table, you get a menu, go to the bartender and order and then they bring you food and everything else you need. In terms of Covid protocol, I thought they did the best, they clean, keep the distance, wear masks, enforce rules, it's pretty safe. Service was decent, everyone was nice, helpful, came to our table to check on us. The food is just decent, not great, our group got a salad (big and fresh), a margherita pizza, shareable for 2 people, pretty good and a pepperoni one, also good for 2 people to nib from. The pepperoni was a tad burnt crust wise and kinda think, nothing special, but decent. Their drinks menu is great, it has many options, from cocktails, to wine, to various craft beers, we got a few glasses of Amber Ale (can't remember which one it was) very good. Decor, well... this is my issue. I don't like the newish renovation paint job. I prefer the dark red walls they used to have that reminded me of places in Mexico or Italy, charming and warm. They still have the pit fire (great for a chilly evening) but not in the middle and they cut their vegetation. So, I wasn't thrilled about their decor change. Purchased this on doordash! It was prepared at an average speed and came lukewarm. It's alright though since this was through doordash. Fortunately, I don't mind colder pizza and the cauliflower was warm enough. The pizza was alright given Ive had better margarita pizza - but it did hit the spot! The kale salad was really good and they were kind enough to provide the two dressings I requested. The cauliflower was also pretty good, but for $10.25, I expected the portion to be much bigger. This was honestly the size of a $5-$7 appetizer...mildly disappointing. I guess I would eat here again. Visiting Cali & my sister suggested Pitfire! I love the fact that Cali still has covid measures in place! They have limited indoor seating and lots of patio seating! LA is pretty toasty, so they even have the misters going to cool ya down! Genius! I ordered the Pesto Chicken pizza, my sis, the Mushroom with chicken! You could tell the dough is made fresh! The dough had the perfect texture. Both options were delicious, although the chicken could have been seasoned a bit more. For the price, the pizzas could be a tad bit larger, but I get it. Love the pizza and pasta at this place! They have a hip/cool heated outdoor seating area and indoor too. Parking is a bit hard but worth it. They have a nice bar area for those who want alcoholic beverages, but the place remains kid friendly. Pretty much self serve, you order, theyll bring the food to the table. Get your own drinks plates and condiments. They have delicious spicy oil too. I decided to finally stop by here since I passed by it so many times and I got so upset... BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN MISSING OUT! Honestly as a person with food allergies and sensitivities, I am scared to try new places but this is my favorite pizza place ever. Yes the pizza is 10/10 (We got the bbq chicken pizza) . Flawless and delicious. The dough is airy and light , and even after you take it home and reheat it , it tastes just as great. The pasta is also 10/10, we got the chicken and mushroom pasta without the creme fresh and one with creme fresh. There was a misunderstanding and they brought both without it and we just asked if they could bring us the sauce. Kaylee (I hope I'm not spelling her name wrong ) explained to us that they make that sauce from scratch and add the ingredients after, so she cant just bring the sauce because it would just be plain creme fresh so she offered to remake it. We said we didn't want to waste the food and it was ok... and she literally brought us a new bowl of remade pasta which tasted delicious!! So yes customer service is also 10/10. And there is a guy full time giving out tickets. There are never street spot available. Available street parking is two blocks away. My favorite pizza place in the neighborhood. The ambiance is super nice and they have a huge outdoor patio that is dog friendly! The pizza, pastas, and salads are all amazing! We come here often for salad and pizza. They make a pretty good vegan pizza here. We got the vegan margherita and it was good. The vegan attempt at fresh mozzarella was more like a plain glob of chalky cream cheese, but it was very tasty otherwise. Zesty sauce rested upon an evenly baked thin crust. Add some char and crunch when baked at a high temperature and baby, you got a stew goin'! Wait no, too much Arrested Development on the brain... Baby, you got a pizza! You can sit inside or out. I am sorry to have to drop some stars on my rating, but the lack of quality control here could make customers sick. I regularly order the honey bear pizza, and the pepperoni. It's been perfect. Zero complaints, 5 stars. But then I tried their summer special, the BBQ chicken pizza. It was delicious!!! So we re-ordered it...and it was awful. We got TWO pieces of raw chicken on the pizza. Unfortunately, since the chicken layer is under the cheese, we didn't notice the uncooked chicken until we chomped down on it. Both of our stomachs were queasy afterwards, and the next day. Fortunately nothing more serious and lasting, but it was incredibly gross and unhygienic. To be clear, this is still one of my favorite pizza places and I debated long and hard about posting this review, but I figured others had a right to know and hopefully Pitfire will increase their vigilance of uncooked meats. read more

Got drinks and pizza here last night with some friends. While the highlight was the company, the pizza was pretty good as well. The menu has lots of interesting options, including vegan and gluten-free. I got a vegan margarita pizza and my friends got the burrata pizza. All incredibly tasty! The setting is perfect to hang out for a long time. The fire pit is gorgeous and it is incredibly spacious. The cashier was friendly and the service was quick. I wish the POS didn't auto-select to "No Tip" and included some higher tipping options. 18%-20%-22% would be a better option-pool or possibly up to 25%. Let's just say, the food was not great but not bad either...just meh. We ordered the Charred Brussel Sprouts which were not charred but soft and soggy. They had no flavor. We also had the Roasted Chicken & Mushroom Cavatappi, nothing special and needed salt and then the Heirloom Tomato Pizza which may have been a special. The tomatoes were very cold and didn't sit well on the hot pizza. Room temperature would have been better. They are centrally located in the heart of NoHo Arts District with plenty of bars in the area, so Pitfire is an option if you want to eat before bar hopping. This Pitfire is cute! It's in the super walkable and trendy arts district of NoHo and has the vibe to match. I've always sat outdoors because it's really inviting and chill. There are fire pits, lots of tables, and a bar out there! You walk up and order at the bar, seat yourself, and they will bring your food to you. There is also a complimentary water station with cups, plates, utensils, napkins, chili flakes, and such. Love not having to ask for it all haha. The staff are GREAT! Very easy to talk to and helpful with any questions. Pizza is great too! I usually get the marg and it's delicious. Sort of on the thinner side but the flavor is good so no complaints. read more
