Came to dine in tonight at the last minute with a party of seven we've heard all all some good things about Roberta's and it definitely lived up to all the hype.. The food was fantastic and the staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. The bee sting had a kick to it but it was one of my favorite pizzas in addition to the shrooms day (lol). We called ahead of time to see if we could get accommodated without a reservation and the gentleman we spoke to (I believe the manager) was more than happy to take us in. We will definitely be coming back. This place has a lovely patio but it's pretty cold outside so it was nice to be able to sit inside! We will be back that bee sting!!!! read more

I ordered postmates and got an AMAZING pizza from here. Got the white pizza with giancale, incredible. Arrived fresh, hot, tasty, I opted to over it a few more minutes and it was perfect. Arrived quickly and great quality. I can't speak for ambiance, but my order was correct and well done. I will order from here again, and a friend that tried it ordered and it was good too. The margherita was out of charred, rustic territory and done into burntness yet the middle part was kind of doughy. The middle part of the pie was paper thin and not holding up well underneath the cheese and sauce. The cheese was overly bland and the sauce had the flavor of an off-brand tomato paste. I would have loved more FRESH basil. The thin pepperoni tasted great. Otherwise, this is a 5 star location for a Neapolitan pizza joint and I left so disappointed. read more

The Bee Sting pizza was floppy (yes, even for a neopolitan style pizza) and the honey didn't really add anything to it. Meatballs were average. When we first came here over 2-3 years ago we didn't know it was based in New York. The bee sting is always hit and our fav, and the meatballs are also delicious, moist and flavorful. Most recently (Dec 2025) we came on a weeknight right before charisma's so it was a quiet night. We learned that they're trying to add some new things, some drinks in the menu, etc so excited for that to come. When our pizza came out, the manager let us k ow that they're making another one already because there was apparently a hole in this one. Roberta's food is high quality and delicious. Staff is kind. My only wish is that it was somewhere other than the Shops at the Sportsman's Lodge. I wish it were on Ventura Blvd. or Ventura Place. Parking at the Shops at the Sportsman's Lodge can be challenging and at times keeps me from going to Roberta's more often. I also wish they were on UberEats in addition to DoorDash. All of that said. We love the Margherita. Indoors is all serviced tables only now. You can get "to go" to continue dining on the open patio that is Shops at Sportsmen's Lodge. The patio makes the experience. You can mix and match where you dine from too- so some in our party got takeout Hiho cheeseburger and Kismet chicken and Uovo pasta. Easy parking (free first 90 mins then $6 per 30' after). Had lunch here with a friend. Food was decent. Some tasty items. BUT. Cost over $50 for a salad and a pizza. Adding pepperoni to the pizza cost $6 extra and they put 8 small slices on the pizza (which was one maybe two tiny pepperoni pieces per slice) For $6 extra dollars on an already $25 pizza!! Insane. The salad was $19 and decent. But nothing special. Small pizzas (they say 12" but it's 10" so it's an individual, 6 small slices) are Neapolitan (thin crust) so not terribly substantial and also a bit greasy. Tasted good but for that money their portions are terrible. Not generous at all. It's pretty ridiculous. I know their rent is probably high here but I wouldn't go back because when you charge that much you should provide a generous bit of food and toppings. It's truly the very least you can do as a business. In these times this type of mentality and cheapness isn't a wise move. read more

I've been going to Roberta's for years and I gotta say it is some of the yummiest sourdough crust in LA. As a regular, I've seen a lot of the team come and go, but Jacob has remained a constant. Bee sting pizza and house stracciatella appetizer are must-try's!! Had them as second dinner (oops) and didn't even have a chance to be full because we ate them so fast. We rushed and arrived maybe about 20-30 minutes before closing and appreciated them taking our order (some restaurants have last call 30 mins before closing time). The staff helping us was great! The house bread was huge and fresh, and paired with the cheese so well. Bee sting was sweet, savory, AND spicy- perfect combo. I love honey on my pizza! The only downside would be that it's on the expensive side. The bill came out to $50 with tax for these 2 items. Wished the pizzas were a little bigger, but still worth a try! This small restaurant is located in Sportsmen's Lodge shopping center with a variety of stores, restaurants, and plenty of outdoor seatings. There is none inside the restaurant. Even if the food is okay, a restaurant with rude employees isn't worth going to -- and giving your money to. I have news for Roberta's. There are countless other pizza places in the area. Since your employee was such a jerk, I'll be a customer at any of the other joints. I went to Roberta's with my wife and daughter the other night and ordered three things. My daughter also wanted pasta from Uomo, so while we waited (a long time) for our pizza, our kid went to get her pasta. When she came back, I asked the boss at Roberta's if she could sit at our table with us and eat her pasta and pizza, but the boss said, "No! If she gets sick from the pasta, we don't want to be blamed for it!" So, my daughter had to sit outside alone to eat. My wife and I joined her, of course. Then, my daughter's friend arrived with food from another place and sat outside too. When we made the mistake of asking for a plastic fork, the boss said "No!" and was very nasty about it. "Utensils are only for people who bought their food here!" Well, I did, you jerk. When I reminded him of that fact, he reluctantly gave me a fork. Gee, thanks. I spent $21 on a pizza, and you're worried about a 2-cent fork? Last, as the four of us ate at a table outside, the boss came out of Roberta's and gave us a mean, dirty look. What now? Outdoor tables are only for those who buy all of their food at Roberta's? We bought three things there, but I guess that wasn't good enough. Great pizza spot but a little pricey! Came here after taking our daughter to Beeman's park. Parking was a bit crazy as there are a bunch of restaurants and shops in Sportmans Lodge. The restaurant wasn't super busy, but most of the tables were taken outside, since it was a nice day. We were able to snag a table and order our food. It can get busy depending on the time but there's lots of seating options, but you're also competing for tables from other dining/ shopping spots in the plaza. I've also order it is take up and still tasty but usually requires another few minutes in the oven to rewarm the pizza. I didn't realize how few locations they had in the west coast so I definitely wanted to take advantage of the fact I had one 5 minutes from me and the photos looked delicious. The food tastes just as good as it looks. It was a last minute decision to go out to eat and we thought let's finally try Roberta's, we were starving!! We walked in not knowing what to anticipate. We understand that it's the type of restaurant where you order up front, get a number, and then find a table waiting for your food. The popular items were exactly what we wanted to try, we ordered the Straciatella w/bread, green salad, and the bee sting pizza. Our order arrived at our table within 19 minutes and we were ecstatic about it. Salad was good, my husband was not a fan of the anchovy vinaigrette so we will not be ordering this again. I loved the Straciatella and bread, Straciatella is my favorite cheese and they nailed this one! The bread is essentially the pizza dough, just thicker form, it was so fluffy and delicious!!! It was just two of us but this appetizer is really perfect for a party of 4 or more because we were just getting full off of bread and cheese and we couldn't stop ourselves lol. Pizza was a delicious balance of everything, we would definitely get two pizzas next time. Perfect size crust, perfect amount and portions of the toppings, we were really happy with the pizza and would love to try more flavors. To be very transparent, the menu is really small, there's not much variety at all, and there aren't really any meat items on the menu. My husband is a carnivore and he would have loved to have more than just soppressata on the pizza (personal preference of course). Very happy with the pizza I ordered. It was a simple "famous original" one, with mozzarella, an incredible sauce and...that's it? The crust was thin, chewey and perfect. It was so simple yet so satisfying. The order took long to come out though, even though it was just one pizza. If I was hungry at that time, my rating would be lower haha They have some tables inside, but most of people stay outside or take it to go. Everything there is you "pick up your own things" kinda style. You order at the counter but they bring your pizza at the table. Water, utensils, napkins, you grab yourself. It is not the place if you were thinking of having a fancy dinner (although the prices are elevated for an individual pizza, but the quality is above average, trust me). Would I go back? We had the Rosso pizza, which is diary-free! Guys what is this heavenly goodness?! It's the food of the gods, must be. Also, added a melon and cucumber salad which had a yogurt dressing of sorts.
