This place was so freaking delicious! I found this place online, and I work in the key so I saw they offered free delivery. I order the BEEF/LAMB SHAWARMA PLATTER and boy was it delicious!!!! My taste buds were screaming in joy with all the delicious flavors! I also ordered a side of fries, which were a bit soggy but thats how I like my fries so no complaints! I didn't even know this little place was tucked in back there in this shopping center but glad I found it. This is Lebanese food but the fast version of it and very much like Greek food. I was starving so I needed something massive to satisfy me and I ordered the lamb/beef platter which was sooo big I didn't even get to finish it. Lamb and beef were cooked medium well to my liking and very flavorful. The hummus was good and fresh veggies, my only complaint was the rice pilaf was overcooked and a little hard but edible. This platter is $14 and the portions are huge so you are getting your $$$ worth with the amount of food. Try the platters if you have a very big appetite or even to share. Next time I'll just get a pita and that would do the job. Also they have a points system very much like 5 stars and others out there where you can stack up points to eventually get free food so ask about that if you plan to make this one of your frequent stops, it'll be worth it. read more

Pita Pockets is NOT PLAYING AROUND. Utterly delicious. Freshness and taste game on fleek! My boyfriend and I stopped in here after wandering around the park and were greeted by the friendly owner. I think my boyfriend ordered the beef and chicken pita sandwich and I got a felafel sandwich. We chatted with the other and were treated to the beautiful sight of him frying up my felafels fresh by hand. Believe me, you can tell a freshly cooked felafel by taste. These felafels are moist and almost creamy unlike the grainy day-old ones you might get at a food truck somewhere. The pita bread had a pillowy, fresh, chewy texture which was perfect for absorbing all the goodness of the meat and sauces contained within. The owner gave us the scrap of pita he had cut off our pockets to taste some of their yummy spreads--garlic, hummus, baba ganouj. Of course all the veggie toppings were crisp and fresh as well. Anyway if I haven't painted a clear picture for you yet this place is AMAZING and it is worth making the trek out to Key Biscayne to try. My boyfriend lives in North Miami and he told me he still drove out here the other day because it is just that good. It's gotten to the point where it's hard for me to eat at any other run-of-the-mill Mediterranean place because everything pales in comparison to Pita Pockets.
