The food here at Pita Pitaki was very good. Everything was delicious, however, I ordered it with Potatoes instead of fries or rice and was a little underwhelmed, as they give you 3 little strips of potato, with some mild seasoning on them, so not as flavorful as it could be. The Gyro was good, the Salad was good, and the pita was nice and fresh. I wish the plate had come with a sauce, but I had to ask for one. Overall, very good, but maybe skip the potatoes and stick with fries or rice. read more

Awesome service and pretty big portions! I ordered two falafel sandwiches and a chicken kalamaki. They were both super flavorful and the leftovers reheated well in my air fryer. This is a solid authentic Greek Mediterranean mom and pop spot for a casual meal. I chose to take out my order and it was ready by the time I arrived. There was plenty of parking in the lot on a Friday night as well. The whole experience was easy and I highly recommend for a good hearty meal that doesn't break the bank. read more

Pita Pitaki - Greek Near Me - Long Beach, California

Little place in Long Beach. It is in the shopping center on the corner, drive slow so you don't miss the driveway. Limited parking but there are usually spaces available. I like the live plants on each of the tables. Nice touch. The chicken pita sandwich is the primary reason for the 3 stars: there was only about 4 little bite size pieces of chicken in my sandwich. Each piece was about the size of a quarter. There was more red onion than anything else in the pita. The lamb was very good. I would come back for lamb. Whatever seasoning they put on the pita is great. The restaurant is clean and nice. Great air conditioning on a hot California day. One restroom and you have to ask the cashier for the key; it's a little awkward. No indicator on the door if it is occupied or not. read more

Their falafel taste so good. I've tried so many different kinds and theirs is the best. It taste so homemade like it was made in the morning. I love it! Not too salty! And their presentation is beautiful. The salad dressing for the Greek salad is wonderful as well . Love their hummus and the brand of pita they buy. This is the first place I've ordered take out where they give out quality pita bread. It's nice and pluffy. The only thing I would watch out for is the olives. Their olives are pitted. The fact they spend alittle more for pitted olives just says a lot too. They like serving quality. And I'd also wish the cashier would of told me my Greek salad came with hummus. I bought hummus on the side not knowing. read more

I had the pastitsio, -It came with a good size piece of pastitsio, a beautiful Greek salad with a ton of super creamy feta and a piece of grilled bread with olive oil on it. Everything was delicious! And the bread was TO DIE FOR! -My daughter had the chicken gyro. The fries were fresh and tasty and there were a ton of them. The chicken was nice and tender and the sauce was a nice addition to the sandwich. The tzatiki wasn't too garlic-y and was very mild. We generally like a little more garlic but it was still good. -My husband had the lamb gyro- this was a good solid gyro experience. Then addition of the fries in the gyro was unexpected in an "American" Greek place. -we also got an order of tyrokafteri and pita. The pita was nice and warm and fluffy. The tyrokafteri was spicy and tasty! It definitely had some moxie. I even put some on my salad, delish! read more

The Lamb burger with garlic fries was magical! Great service and dine in atmosphere. If you're in the area, check it out!

I just have to say, "Wow". I never write reviews but this place deserves my 5 stars, not that they are lacking for 5 star reviews. But wow. The food is amazing. We've tried the pitas, the 1/2 Greek Lemon Chicken and the Lamb Burger. All are absolutely delicious. The salad dressing is delicious as well, and I am picky about Greek salad dressing. I usually only like the one from George's Greek Cafe. And I am not just here to rave about the food. But also, the prices! Very reasonable. And good portion sizes! I usually can't even finish my meal. Small portions are a pet peeve of mine. You won't have that problem here. That's why we keep coming back. Amazing food, Reasonable prices. Good-sized portions. read more

I have lived in Long Beach for over 35 years and stumbled upon this restaurant because I was in the area. Ordered the 1/2 Lemon Chicken and it was delicious. Large portions and chicken was so moist and tender. The salad had a generous sprinkling of feta cheese and pita bread was fresh. The server was friendly and returned check if we needed anything else. This will be my go to place when I am in the area. read more

Heard so many great things about this new place through FB community groups. And everyone was spot on! Nice, clean place with a Greek island vibe and sweet touches like fresh potted herbs on each table and extra olive oil server bottles. The Greek tea is refreshing and made there on site. We had the small Greek salad, lamb gyro and calamari for lunch. My salad was super fresh, with fat juicy kalamata olives, crunchy romaine, red pepper, tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers and a generous helping of feta cheese, topped with a light Greek dressing. The calamari was lightly crunchy on the outside and very tender on the inside. It was served along with cocktail sauce and garlic sauce. Both tasted homemade. My husband's gyro was overflowing with thin shaved, moist and rich flavorful lamb meat! It's enough for two. The filling includes fries, tomato, red onions and a tzatziki sauce that was so delicious! You can see (and taste) the fresh dill in perfect proportion to the yogurt. Get yourself here and give these nice people your business. Its the freshest thing in town. read more

We used to love this place. Got take out tonight and I was about to take a bite of my meal and a HUGE fly was in my food! Totally ruined my appetite. I threw 80% away. What was worse is I called and told them about the fly and asked for a refund and they wouldn't. Not good service. They really didn't care. read more

The fluffy pita. Tender gyro. Crispy fries. Delicious greens with the most decadent, tangy Feta. Pita Pitaki will forever be a vibe for me.

Tiny family owned restaurant that always serves great food consistently. We've been coming here for a few years. We've had their spanakopita, gyro, moussaka, lentil soup, falafel and burgers. They're all delicious and you can tell it's made fresh. However, they're lamb burger knocks it outta the park! Handmade, thick, juicy patty speckled with freshly minced garlic and parsley (my guess), laying on carmelized onion, topped with feta, roasted grape tomatoes, arugula, all enveloped in the perfect bun to complement all that flavor. I have it weekly. I've had lamb burgers at other places, but none come close. It's that good!!! read more

I am addicted to the chicken gyro of this place. Husband has tried many different dishes and of course i had sampled them all. However, every time i am here, i have to order my chicken gyro pita wrap. I usually add a side salad or soup (if it's a cold day) and drink for a few dollars more. Their salad is generously portioned. The soup is delicious. This place gives me a feeling like someone really cares about food, how it tastes, the atmosphere that the food is served. Everything is clean and welcoming. The service is great. The servers came outside where i sat several times to ask me if everything was alright. Please come and support this restaurant. Places likes this are what makes a neighborhood great. We need this place. read more

The Best Greek Food in Long Beach !! I found this hidden gem on Yelp and was curious by all the amazing reviews. I came by here and got a few things and I was pleasantly surprised: Gyros : Outstanding flavor of lamb and beef with robust Greek spices. Ask them to make it crispy. It's amazing in the Gyro Pita with fries Greek Salad: very good and lots of high quality feta , peppers, onions and buttery olive oil drizzled on top Avgolemono - Chicken and Lemon soup with orzo pasta and egg sauce. This is such a comforting soup on a cold day. If you want excellent Greek food in Long Beach in a casual take out spot then this is it !! A hidden gem in the LBC ! read more

Have been meaning to try this place out , and I honestly don't know what took me so long ! Just recently tried their Lamb Gyro Sandwich and a large House Greek Salad with Lamb . The sandwich was SO filling came with the white Tzatziki sauce and the salad was huge, fresh, and came with a balsamic dressing I believe not sure? But the Lamb was delicious and flavorful . My bf has been on diet and has been cutting down on carbs and sugars as much as he can , so the salad was definitely filling and suitable for his diet . The place is clean , friendly , and up to date with their payment options and on screen menus . Had such a great first impression , definitely give this place a try if you haven't yet . read more

I was craving a Greek salad and discovered this place on yelp was only a few block from my house. Great reviews and photos on yelp encouraged me to phone in my order. Im soooo glad i did!! Something has happened to the quality here. I got my usual lamb gyro sandwich combo with fries and a drink. The gyro meat was lukewarm and unflavorful. The fries were no longer made from fresh potatoes but the usual boring ones you can get most places. Definitely not as good as they used to be. read more

Dollar for dollar the best value around in Greek cuisine. The quality is excellent, and the food tastes homemade. First time eating Greek food. So amazing I can't wait to try more from the menu. Mythos beer was excellent. Definitely worth the price.

Great service and food. The 5 sample dips are so good . The chicken and veggie skewers were very juicy.

This place was recommended to me by a co-worker today so I decided to try it. With restaurants hurting during the pandemic, my family has tried to order a meal to go every 7-10 days or so to support the local economy, while still keeping to a tight budget. That's said, let's get to it... The food here was really good!! Falafel, top 5 in LA county! The meat (pause) and flavors are really good! Now for why it lost 2 stars ... .5 stars lost for charging $5 for a single skewer. We purchased the Falafel dinner and (2) Skewers (1 chicken and 1 pork). This was a purposeful choice to test the offerings but not get too far into the weeds on price. For $5 I believe there should have been (2) skewers since the skewer is not a very large skewer. .5 stars lost for no salad dressing to go with the Salad that came with the falafel dinner. 1 whole star lost for no Greek cream sauce or yogurt or anything to accompany dinner. I would recommend this place and would try it again, but avoid the a la carte skewer (just buy a dinner) and make sure to request salad dressing and or some kind of Greek yogurt sauce bc lord knows it ain't Greek food without it! read more
