If you like Greek food the gyros are great as is the Ode to Athens bowl. I haven't tried anything else. My husband is not a fan but it's because he doesn't like the smell of gyros meat. This place was fabulous. I thought the manager was the owner, that is how good of a job they do here. We had not been to a Pita Pit before and the manager walked us through the entire process. The other employees working were also very friendly. One of my children is very particular with food and he was fine! I understand what some people mean when they mention size, and while we were concerned at first, it was a non issue. All of us were full. It was clean and there were places to sit outside. I love pita pit! The location on 69th is my favorite. Think of it like a healthier subway. You can choose from large and small pitas, salads and even breakfast pitas. They also offer smoothies. My favorite is the chicken Caesar. You can choose from many meats, veggies, sauces, and cheese. The lettuce, spinach and veggies are always fresh and delicious. This is the place to get a very tasty and healthy meal! read more

The customer service is great. The food taste great. But the size of the wraps are abysmally small. As is usually the case the regular is the default size at restaurants when an order is placed at the register but I believe the employees realize and understand that they're a bit small so they automatically ring you up for the larger size. To give you an idea of the sizes of the wraps, the regular is about the size of an egg roll and the large is a tad bit smaller than a dollar menu burrito from Taco Bell. Based on how we felt after the meal, if you order the regular you will definitely be hungry afterwards and if you go with the large you have a legitimate possibility of being hungry afterwards as well. read more

I wish I could write a review based on Pita Pit's delicious food (I've had it before at other locations) but I can't do that because I've tried to order delivery on two separate occasions and both times I was met with extremely poor customer service. The first time: I called on a Friday during lunch hour for delivery and I was put on hold for 6 minutes. By hold I mean they put the phone down but I could hear everything that was being said and done in the background. During this time they were continually helping new customers and not once did anyone pick the phone up, I hung up. I tried to call them back a few times during the next hour but the phone was busy every time. The second time: I called and was met with busy signals until finally I got through to someone. I was thinking, "Yay! I'm finally going to be able to get the pita pit delivery that my husband has been craving!" However, when I said it would be an order for delivery, the woman on the other end let out a sigh and grumpily asked for my address. When I began to give it to her I was met with angry questions as to just where my place was located. I was clearly not an important customer and so I said, "You know what?! Forget it, you sound like you have better things to be doing." She said, "That's right." And hung up. Here's the deal, if you don't want to do delivery, don't offer it. I was surprised that they offered delivery in the first place but they do. They clearly hate to treat the customers requesting delivery the same service that they offer to other customers. read more

This is my go to place for healthy fast food when I am too lazy to make myself food at home. This place is great for those on a diet, as they have the best salads for a fast food restaurant. I always leave full because they give such generous portions - my salad is always overflowing my container. No skimping on the good ingredients. I get a good, healthy meal and I am full when I walk out. This makes me a regular customer of pita pit. read more

Great place to eat. It doesn't appear to have any public bathrooms which could be an issue for some. They have 2 sizes if pitas now so I'm not sure if that's corporate or just this store but all of the others I have been to have only been 1 size. They have the coke pop machine that let's you pick the flavors and syrups to make your custom drink. It was steady borderline really busy the entire time so people like it. read more

Nice clean place with fast service and affordable pita sandwiches. Lots of choices for meat and toppings. The concept is Subway meets My Big Greek Pita with first choosing your meat (or Veggie option, even hummus!) then you choose your toppings that are displayed in front of you as you move towards the check out. I had the beef gyro regular sized which was filling and delicious. read more

There is nothing special about the food. Just the fact that they put it in Pita bread makes it "different" and I guess therefore highly sought after. I had been waiting to try this place and I kind of wish I never wasted 20 minutes of my lunch at this place for a mediocre pita sandwich. I stood in line for 10 minutes to order one of these only to wait another 10 minutes to add ingredients to my pita and then have a tiny spoonful of meat poured into the pita before it was quickly wrapped up before I could really say anything. I was rushed along this line with loads of people everywhere. Either they are understaffed or they need to find a better system. read more
