So far the third time I've ordered from this place. This specific location and every time they say my order was not received on their screen. Even though I have an order number and it clearly states, my order is ready. They claim they do not have, and they could not help me with anything and told me to get out of the line. And yes.1920 w 12th street also overheard the conversation of the car before me A doordasher didn't get their food because the employee gave it to some Rando I guess and not the DoorDash driver. read more

My Sierra chicken sandwich ($3.79) tasted great, with a moist, tasty, white, 1/2" thick portion of chicken, which was almost as wide and tall as the shell covering it. I liked the toppings bar, the mostly clean dining area, the 80s classic rock background music, TVs, free Wi-Fi, and the somewhat fast (three minutes) service. Avoid ordering from this store. The past 5 times we have ordered our food from here it was horrible and treated with disrespect. These experiences were from 3 pick up orders and 2 delivery from this store. Burritos are half the size with very little sauce or cheese. instead of being a bean burrito, it was a tortilla with a little bean in it. Cant call it a burrito. Our potato oles were smashed down to one big wad of greasy potato. this was on all three orders of potatoes in the same bag. all the nacho cheeses were spilled all over the inside of the bag. I have been a big taco johns fan for 30 years. I will try a different store going forward and hope to get the amazing food we use to get from taco johns. Hope this store can fix its issues sometime soon. read more

I love trying new chain restaurants in different areas. This was my first time to a Taco John's. We went through the drive thru and everything was pretty fast paced, as expected. They have a pretty extensive menu, like other taco fast food restaurants. I would say this is very comparable to Taco Bell, but also different in a lot of ways. There is less variety than Taco Bell offers, but it is also a smaller chain than Taco Bell. It is definitely American Mexican food. It is in no way authentic mexican food. The portions were relatively large here, as well. The potato oles were probably my favorite. They are crispy and tasty, very similar to a hash brown, but with a little more flavor. I wish I would have ordered some cheese on the side to dip them with though. I also ordered a burrito which was decently tasty. I lastly ordered a churro, which was pretty disappointing. They didn't seem to roll it in any sort of cinnamon or sugar, so it was very bland. Overall it was okay. It was not amazing, but not bad at all. I would definitely get the potato oles again. It's definitely worth a try. read more

Great Service from friendly people, clean surroundings, fresh tasty food! Yes this is a fast food chain but this particular Taco John's is my fave in Sioux Falls. Ate at CHEVY'S night before and can honestly say my meal was better tasting at this Taco John's! I travel nationwide for work and have my choice of where to dine but when in Sioux Falls eat regularly at this TJ's. Can't say the other TJ's in town are that great but this one is a jewel. read more

It was probably about 10:15 on Sunday night we ordered a six pack and a pound it took at least 15 minutes for our order and it was brought to our car cold. When they brought it to our car......they had our order and the order for the car behind us who ordered probably 5 minutes after us. He dropped our order on the ground. Granted it was in a bag but he dropped it because he was juggling our order and the order for the car behind us and their drinks......we had only ordered a 6 and a pound no drinks. Our order was cold and it took us 15+ to get the order if they would have brought us our order when it was ready and not waited for the order behind us we more than likely would have received a hot 6 pack and a pound and been happy. Never been to that location before.....won't go back. read more

Very disappointed. The worse sriloin steak taco n chicken quesadilla we ever had. The chicken quesadilla had 2 or 3 pieces of shredded chicken in the tortilla. The tortilla was so soggy n doesn't look cooked. I took 2 bites n threw away the whole thing. My husband's sirloin steak taco were soggy n sauce tasted like that they put twice the amount of chili powder needed. It tasted nasty. We threw away all 3 tacos. We were on a road trip n decided to spend the nite in Sioux Falls. It was late so we looked for a place to eat. Since we never had Taco Johns before n heard on the radio n saw on bill board--we decided to try it. Well, it was a big mistake. We should've go to Taco bell instead--at least their tacos n quesadilla are hot n tasted good. I should rate no star cos the food was practically inedible. We threw it all away. read more

If you like a ton of seasoning on your potato oles and you like small portions this is the place for you. Go to the E. 10th street location for the best food. I have eaten at all of them at one time or another and E. 10th is the best by far. read more

I agree with Bill D. Have been here at night right after the Wiener dog races and this morning for breakfast. Have not been to a sucky Taco Johns in Sioux Falls, but this location is excellent. Super nice employees and well executed food. read more

The breakfast burritos are quite tasty, however, one of our burritos was completely lacking eggs, which almost defeated the purpose of ordering a breakfast burrito. Regardless, it was still a delicious burrito. It would have been a 4-star review but for the service. The person helping us seemed quite disappointed that we didn't want the soda cups she provided but instead we requested coffee. This, as she pointed out to us, required her to brew a new pot. We opted for her to brew a new pot as we were not quite ready to make the lifestyle leap from coffee to soda as our breakfast beverage of choice. read more
