[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a fun vibe in here, I love the aesthetic and the art work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Although we didn't have reservations for brunch Sunday morning we were seated at the bar which was totally fine with us. The staff was super fun and friendly. We ordered the chilaquiles and the burrito both were delicious. I felt the citrus flavor was a tad overpowering on the chilaquiles but after adding some of the green salsa and salsa macha it was perfect. The dish was super filling and packed with delicious flavors. The Jamica was super refreshing and perfectly balanced. My husband has dined here many times and I wouldn't be opposed to dining in again when we're back in the area.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance in here is beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is a 10! Pork belly tacos are a must! Ceviche was a delicious starter too. Jarritos soda makes it feel as rooted as it can be in this fusion of authentic but modern fusion Mexican food! I will be coming back. We walked in randomly on a weekend and they were so friendly and welcoming. The service was wonderful, they offered recommendations and checked in on us. We re new to town so it felt like a sweet a welcome altogether.

Not impressed. Service was really good and they were extremely attentive! The food : not too many options, small portions and flavor was regular. I asked the aioli garlic sauce and that gave some flavor to my tamale My bf had the pork belly tacos and he loved it. Still, only two tacos for $16 My flavorless tamale was $20 [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful decoration and nice atmosphere[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is great to have in DTSF. Very good food across the board. And congrats on the James Beard award!! That is an amazing accomplishment!! Well deserved. Wouldn't mind if that burger from the battle stayed on the menu. :)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful historic setting with artisan ingredients presented well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered shrimp tacos which turned out to be very tasty. They had just the right amount of heat and were loaded with shrimp. I expected the delicate corn tortillas to crumble or split, but they handled all the fillings nicely. I can't wait to go back and try more items from their menu.

Amazing flavors! Had three tacos, one had a carrot mix and was a great veggie option. Chicken and beef were top notch too. The base of the tacos is the in house nixtamal process described as a labor intensive traditional method of making the base of the corn tacos I had and other items. I have never had a soft corn tortilla quite like that, combining a smooth texture with a tangy flavor that went great with the tacos. I am looking forward to trying the other items that use the nixtamal like the sopes and tostadas. There were some great looking seafood options as well. All your favorite local Salas Salsas are available for sale here too. The verde has been a favorite of mine, so good! The meats were super tender and had so many fresh flavors and spices, some were topped with delicate and delicious greens and veggies too. Service and atmosphere were great with big windows overlooking Phillips avenue. Awesome addition to downtown!!

Margarita and my soup of the month.

What a great experience! The service was amazing just as my margarita and meal; Tacos Gobernador. I cant remember the name of the soup but it was delicious!!!

This was a religious experience! Incredible experience for those looking for a surprisingly fresh and complicated taste palate - with locally-sourced and made from scratch food. Hands down the best meal I have experienced. Wish we loved closer, we would be here everyday! Wow!

They had open seating and at 4:30 pm on a Friday we were able to find a seat quickly to our surprise. Matt H. Was our server and did an excellent job. We had three people and I wish I would have taken more pictures. The food was presented nicely and the taste was outstanding. We had the Sliders (pictured) with sweet potato fries as well as a Cheeseburger with duck fat fries and an order of the Nachos with kettle chips. Coupled with cocktails of Captain Morgan, Crown, and a Margarita, we were quite pleased. The total bill was $64. Great value for the ambiance, food, and hospitality. We will be back!

Our server was very friendly and attentive and gave great service. We had green bean fries as an appetizer. They were excellent. We ordered their Monk's Classic Double burger which was very juicy and amazing. I would definitely order this again. We also had the Alther pizza which was excellent too. The wait time for our food was pretty quick. This place has a fun atmosphere but not too loud. They have 50 beers on tap and you can just order by the number. I'm a dark beer lover so I ordered two different dark beers. The best one was the Drekker Smooth or Die Milk stout with peanut butter and chocolate flavors. It was so good that my wife ordered it for her second drink. They are willing to give you a sample if you aren't sure what to order. This place came highly recommended by our friends and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be going back.

And somehow we stumbled right into JL Beers. Or perhaps more accurately, the scent of burgers guided us there like a pair of hungry travelers following a greasy North Star. Either way, what a fantastic little find this turned out to be. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and properly satisfying in the way a good burger should be. Not overcomplicated. Not trying too hard. Just well-prepared comfort food done right. The fries were excellent too -- crisp, well-seasoned, and dangerously easy to keep eating long after I was already full. The service also impressed me quite a bit. Even on a busy Sunday afternoon, the staff remained attentive, friendly, and efficient without making us feel rushed. One unexpectedly fun part of the visit was trying non-alcoholic beer options for the first time. My husband and I are not really drinkers, so this was a little adventure for us. The sparkling hop water was surprisingly refreshing and delightful, while the Athletic non-alcoholic beer leaned a little more bitter than my personal preference. Still, I appreciated finally getting to try some of the newer NA options people have been talking about lately. And honestly, this place wound up becoming one of our gateway restaurants into exploring more of DTSF afterward. We have returned several times since, usually combining it with walks around downtown and trying other local spots nearby. Now, of course, every local already knows the true final boss battle of downtown Sioux Falls: Parking. At some point you simply accept that you are either going to circle the block repeatedly like a confused migrating bird or surrender gracefully and use one of the nearby parking garages. Which honestly is not the end of the world. The walk is good for us. At least until winter arrives and the sidewalks become an Olympic slipping event sponsored by snow, ice, and regret.
