I come here solo for a good beer at the end of the week and a delicious burger. My order is the Humpty burger and some fries and this combo with a cold beer never disappoints. I like going when it isn't busy so service is always accommodating. They have a few tvs if you want to watch a game and some outdoor seating too. Parking is small on the side but again never had an issue. This place is closer for me than the downtown location so I'll come here more often but this place is a bit darker with less windows or natural light than the downtown location. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch, really an early dinner, and was greeted with friendly staff and a calm restaurant. We were able to take some time to check out what they had on tap before ordering. We had some solid drinks and amazing burgers. I will always recommend their pool of ranch with the fries. read more

This establishment is for those 21 and over. They offer a variety of beers and I really enjoyed the seasonal flight they had. All of the burgers are smash burgers and are cooked well done. Everyone at our table who ordered, really enjoyed them. The service was awesome. I believe our server was Trevin, and he was great. Very friendly and attentive. I like the fact that they have the big high top tables and it's dimly lit. read more

The restaurant is small & easy to miss being part of the same building as Vinyl Taco. We had no problems getting a booth on a Saturday afternoon. Service was prompt & attentive. Our burgers & fries were great! Out of curiousity, we also got a side of the peanut butter. By itself, it's really good! Curious even more about their Not Just a Nutter Burger, I dared my wife to try it on her cheesebuger. She countered that I had to have the first taste. I was pleasantly surprised by the new taste! She was...shook.... It's now her favorite combo! Recommended! read more

The burgers and fries are amazing. The beer selection is vast and they even had 1818 Root Beer on tap for my husband. The place is small, but we were able to sit and eat quickly. No children allowed, but I would absolutely return. read more

Such a fun environment! Great food and music. The BLT burger and loaded fries really hit! 10/10 recommend! Fast service and the beer was really tasty! read more

JL Beers - Burgers Near Me - Sioux Falls, South Dakota

We love this place for burgers and beers. They always have so many different beers and you can try before choosing which is great cause I'm never sure what I want. Sitting at the bar is the best place to sit so you can ask questions and just talk with the staff. It isn't very big inside but it is nice that it's 21 and over only. Great place. read more

just left here and can't express my disappointment. I guess my biggest complaint is I assumed fries come with the burgers, as most do. At this place, they don't . Then, if you're the waitress, you'd assume it would be common sense to at least ask if we wanted fries. But she didn't . Burgers were ok. Nothing special. The pretzel appetizer was also disappointing. Then, to top it off, they have no ice in their drinks, so the drinks get warm pretty quickly. Honestly, if the hot pepper jam on my burger wasn't so tasty, I'd give a 1 star. I'm definitely not interested in coming back. One and done. read more

We were welcomed very quickly coming through the door. Luckily they had seating open. It is a lot smaller than expected. You have the bar and tables. They opened the outside to customers as we were waiting. We had someone order our food but then someone else helping with the rest. Alex was a great help and giving recommendations. I ordered the Cajun burger which was juicy and full of flavor. My wife ordered the peanut butter burger. Both flavors were spot on. Definitely coMing back to try other flavors. I also tried the 1919 root beer on tap. Takes me back in time when root beer was supposed to taste that way. read more

Always a perfect meal when we dine here. They are consistent with every visit and I have dined here for years. We have lots of favorite burgers including the Totally Slawsome, the MountMushMore, the Western Ave, Not Just a Nutter Burger, and the classic burger! Chips are way better than the fries in my opinion, the BBQ seasoning with the Cajun Lime dip is fantastic! Can't wait to go back soon! read more

They cut the fries from a potato right in front of you. Super fresh and great seasoning. Great beer list too

Waited 20 mins. People came in and sat behind us ten mins later , waitress served them first . Looked at us 6 times. End up getting up and leaving. She made it obvious she didn't want to serve us for whatever reason . read more

I heard of this place before coming here. The guy that i sat next to recommenced the Mount Rushmore burger. It was delicious. I also got fries but probably could have tried the chips instead. I also did the beer mail to my boyfriend. I like how they do that! read more

I've gone to the one downtown a few times, recently visited another one. Both were great. I enjoy barrel aged beers so they always have one for me. read more

I got the veggie burger, chips w/ Buffalo sauce and blue cheese crumbles and a root beer, everything was DELICIOUS! Sometimes veggie burgers are weird or gross and don't agree with my stomach, but this one was really good and I feel great. Super friendly staff and great energy in the place. Highly recommend! read more

Stopped in today 9/14/2021 after a Doctors appointment. Absolutely fantastic. Our server was friendly knowledgeable and a real joy. Had the Humpty Dumpty Burger with chips and my favorite beer. Outstanding to say the least. Well worth the drive from Mitchell. I even took home a 32 ounce Crowler of my favorite beer. Awesome idea. Highly recommend read more

This is the second location I have visited and it didn't disappoint. The location is small but the people are larger than life. Darrian AKA Jennifer Gardner was exceptionally . The burger and chips are great as well a wide variety of tasty beverages read more

Best burger in town. We've eaten here at both locations over 30 times over the last 3 years. This is one of the few places I bring people to when they come into town. While the one on Western took a while to get the food and service right, it is still the best burger in town. There only been 2 times we've been disappointed with the food. I recommend getting the chips or pretzel but DO NOT GET THE FRIES. No one I've brought here has ever been happy with those. They are not cooked well EVER. Also I highly recommend the 1919 Root Beer for non-beer drinkers. It's the best root beer you'll ever have. Service is very quick. They do have a 21+ requirement as of my posting. For those with friends/family under 21, they do carry out and pick up. Also friends with vegetarian, they have a bean patty substitution (though I don't know if it is lard free). read more

One of my favorite places to get a delicious burger and beer! I enjoy the atmosphere and customer service is always great! I enjoy all the taps they have on rotation, always so many to choose from! Always a good place to get a few drinks or more! I come here more than I'd like to admit but it's definitely a 10/10 for me! read more

Great please for a beer and burger. By all means have the beer cheese dip with fries or pretzels. read more

JL Beers - Burgers and bacon on a griddle - Burgers Near Me - Sioux Falls, South Dakota

It was good food, but the seating space is a little small. Great with food accommodations and great servers and bartenders. Although the atmosphere wasn't as good as the one located in downtown Sioux Falls, but it's their sister site, so both are good! read more

Love that you can send postcards from here. We always send then top my friends and family all over the state's. Now onto the important part... the food. You must order the fries with the beer cheese dip. I don't care what burger you order (because they're all awesome), but this dip is to die for. Their beer list is more than impressive. There's always new and fresh kinds coming in. read more

It was okay, the food wasn't anything fabulous to want to eat again. It's a relaxed environment which is nice, not too loud. Our server (we sat at the bar) wasn't very informative with their menu or extremely welcoming/upbeat person (that could just be how he is too idk!) - kinda that "you should know we only have craft beer here" attitude. Might try the downtown location sometime instead. read more

This place is a shithole and not a family friendly place. Poor people skills and bad attitude staff. You would have a better experience at McDonald's! read more

Nice place, great prices and the burgers really are good. The beer selection is impressive. The staff is very welcoming and chill.

This was recommended to us by a local. They only cook their burgers well done. So no juicy med-rare burger. They have a nice drink selection. Food not so good unless you like flat, well done meat. read more

This was a truly disappointing experience. I talked it up to my wife, and now I'm eating a crow burger. This place is NOT the place to go if you want a meal. No soda is avaiable by tap, you have to purchase by the can. No ice water is available, you get luke warm tap water. You have to beg for salt, pepper, Utensils, catsup, mustard (in tiny cups). I asked for jalapeños to be added to my burger and that didn't happen. I won't be back to this place.....the virus may be a good reason to close this place up!!! read more

Extremely disappointed when we were waiting for more than 10 minutes and did not receive any service, greeting, or acknowledgement when it's 3 pm on a Sunday & the restaurant is not busy. Decided to go to TapHouse instead that serves the same food but better experience. read more

Great burger. I cannot say enough how good it was. The service was awesome and food came fast.

Gyro burger was amazing!! My son had the JL burger and it too was delicious. Fast friendly service!

Great service. Excellent beer selection. Tasty burgers and fries or chips. ( my favorite being the Ragin' Cajun and chips with R Dip- YUM!) Seating can be tight so plan accordingly. Both locations are just fantastic! read more

This visit to JLBeers was a disappointment Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations because of the excellent service at the Grand Forks ND location I am used to. There during the rush it is never more than five minutes from order to food and everything is always excellent. Here I noticed that 20 minutes after I ordered they started putting burgers on the grill. Apparently they wait until they have enough orders to make working worthwhile When the food arrived the chips were cold and soggy and the few tablespoons of cheese dip I paid extra for were cold. The burger meat crumbled like meat loaf (what is in the burger)? The place is clean and staff is friendly when you can get their attention. Average experience at a higher than average price. read more

Pretty decent place but it seriously does not live up to the hype. Burgers are good, but hardly the "best in Sioux Falls" as I had been told. They have a great selection of beers for the beer people out there and a generally fun atmosphere. It's a great place to go with a group to have fun, but a little loud if you are looking for a laid back place for a real conversation. read more

I LOVE this place. Easily the best burgers in town! The peanut butter burger with jalapeños (can't remember the real name ) is unique and delicious. Friendly staff and the cooks are fast! Plus, the beer mail is a fun idea, so bring an address to write to your friends at. They'll be jealous they're not enjoying a beer with you here! read more

This place has the best service, a great selection of beers and did I mention the amazing service? They staff are super friendly and attentive and they always make great recommendations.
