Very underrated sandwich shop. They have the best bread in town and cut the meat/cheese right in front of you.

Fantastic subs and soups! Fun and friendly service even when the line is out the door. Be patient, you will get a wonderful, tasty sub sandwich. These people are busting their butts all the time. Normally I don't do this but a bit caught off guard with this one. For the most part I love Good Cents. Today however we called in a work deliver for lunch at 10:00 am this morning to be dropped off noon. Nothing at 12:45. so called. When talking to the young lady on the phone was told that no one had been sent out yet. And someone in the background was whispering excuses as to what happens. When I started asking questions, all of a sudden the phone got staticy. And she couldn't hear me. Once the meals did arrived at 1:00 pm. The subs were smashed like pancakes. Very disappointing experience and feel that the customer service experience could have been handled more professionally! read more

Love their subs but they need to update their website with their hours as well as update the interior of the restaurant. The Penny club is my favorite. Not sure why the one on 41st closed but glad this one is still around. Now if only they can open one in Austin, TX... read more

This review isn't a critique on their food, just service. Heard of this business through work. After I introduced myself on the phone, the guy who picked up just yelled "you are calling a restaurant at 12pm, are you an idiot??" and then hung up on me. To be fair, he didn't recognize my company's name. He probably assumed I was soliciting business. However, he could've asked me to call back if the call wasn't food-related. It was lunchtime, afterall. I didn't even explain why I called yet. After that unnecessarily rude conversation, I had no desire to order their food for anyone. read more

I've only been here twice, once when I was a teenager looking for any job. And the second time a couple years ago as a first time customer. The people working behind the counter are nice enough. First impressions are important, and when they messed up my sandwich by adding olive oil, they did not offer to correct it by starting over or comp me on the price. I took my order to go, and when I unwrapped my sandwich it started to fall apart. It made a huge mess, there was lettuce everywhere. Like I said, first impressions are very important, and I was not impressed. I will not go here again for awhile. Which sucks for them because my favorite bar is only a block away, The Bonus Round. I'll just stick with Subway, Jimmy John's, and Pita Pit for my Deli/Sandwich needs. read more

I ordered a few subs from here a couple times and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Both times the subs were well made and tasted great. Don't be fooled by the outside, which doesn't represent the quality of food you'll get. I would say the food is better than subway, and depending on how you like your bread almost comparable to jimmy johns. It's a nice change when you want to try something different. I was not impressed at all tonight with Mr goodcents,i had to continue to repet my order, then I pay with my card,everthing went good then 20 mins later the guy calls me back and tells me he messed up the price there was like a $2 difference I said fine I will just give it to the delivery driver when he brings it he says okay hangs up the phone then 10 minutes later I get another call back saying that he can't just let the delivery guy take the difference that I had to give him my card number again and he has to cancel the old transaction and then redo a new one mine this is only $2.10 differences.this not my frist issue with this with them.and they havent even started my order,so the hour would be 1:45 mins before they got here? read more

Food is usually great but service not so much. We ordered online thinking it would save time... we were quite wrong. First off the confermation email stated that we had a pick up time. We did not we ordered for delivery. We called after 30 minutes and spoke to Robin to make sure that we did not make a mistake we were told that we had not and that it had been doing that lately.After waiting over an hour we called to check the status of our order. Tim answered the phone we were told that "Thats the problem with ordering online. We dont get to speak to our customers to let us know the status of the order." He went on to talk about how they had commitments from earlier in the day and that our order was behind those and was on the way. It did show up after an hour and a half. Again not complaining about the food but we won't be ordering online again. read more

Food was not toasted, garlic bread was smashed and not toasted. Overall presentation was just terrible. Not a huge fan of my cheddar broccoli soup- tastes like 'just-add-water' from Wal-Mart. I like Mr. Goodcents, but todays delivery was just not that great. Please keep trying! read more

I had put in an order for myself and my coworkers at about 10:15am. When I asked the girl if I could have it delivered by noon she was very rude and literally laughed and said they were really backed up and it would take an hour. After an hour and 15 minutes I called and was told our order was on the way. After waiting yet another 15 minutes, now at 1 hour 30 minutes after we ordered, I called again and was told the order hadn't even left for delivery. I called and spoke to the owner and he apologized and told me and my coworkers he would give us a free meal and refund our money if we just paid the delivery fee for the diriver of about $2. We decided to order our meals today, but was told the deliver fee was applied to EACH order and that we had to pay for the chips and beverage even though he originally said we would each get a meal for free. Delivery fees do not get charged to each order and should be waived when you are comping a meal for an unhappy customer. I have NEVER had a restaurant be so poor at customer service. You shouldn't charge people that are being comped for bad service. They lost at least three customers that day and I am making sure to share my experience. All of us missed our lunch since our hour break was over. Luckily Jimmy John's came to the rescue and had our sandwiches in our hands within 20 minutes from the time we ordered so we could eat during our 15 minute afternoon break. Shame on you Mr. Goodcents for such a horrible customer service and then then not even caring about retaining your customers that were wronged. Shame on you. One a side note, I also didn't think my sandwich was all that great. Certainly not comparable to Subway, Jimmy John's or Erbert and Gerbert. If you are reading this review, go to one of those places instead and you will be satisfied for sure. This place sucked all around. read more
