I'm beyond dissatisfied. Because I'm stuck in a hotel in Sioux Falls, SD for a work trip, I decided to place a delivery order directly through the Pepper Jax website. My order was placed at 630PM with a quoted delivery time of 7:26. It was overpriced, but when you're in travel status, some things you'll have to compromise on. So I paid for the convenience to have food delivered. The site gives an option to track the status of the order. At 07:30 PM (past the quoted delivery time), I decided to track the order status. The site then redirected me to DoorDash, and to my surprise, the updated delivery time was 7:46. So I waited. At 7:50, I decided to call the business and inquire about the delay with the order. During the call, the store lead explained the business does not deliver orders. Delivery orders are outsourced to DoorDash to make the delivery. When I asked why delivery was even an option, her answer was "I don't know." She then proceeded to tell me my only option was to have the business owner refund the order, the next morning. I would've never made the online delivery order, if I knew the actual delivery would have been outsourced to a third party. I always have issues with DoorDash, which is why I don't use their service. Other restaurants will at least have a link to redirect customers to the third party food delivery service when the restaurant employees don't actually fulfill the deliveries. This is completely misleading, and made the customer service I experienced an unpleasant one. I paid $32 for a Philly, which I waited hours for and never received. I will not be ordering from this company again. read more

I am from Philadelphia, and this is the only place in Sioux Falls to get a decent cheesesteak. They get their rolls from Philadelphia, and the meat is seasoned nicely. I do have to say, that the sandwich is not called a Philly. It is called a cheesesteak. So if you want the closest thing to a genuine cheesesteak, this is the only place in town. read more

"BEST PHILLY I'VE EVER HAD!" I used to say the same thing about a place by me back home, but now PepperJax owns that award. I ordered mine with steak, onion, green peppers, mushrooms, jalapenos, and "fire-balled." HOLE-E-CRAP was it delicious. It was hot, both temp and spicy, but not so spicy you couldn't taste anything. I also grabbed some "original" (I think) steak sauce (tasted similar to A-1) and it was the perfect blend. Fries were seasoned well and plentiful (as was the sandwich). I like salty foods so I had the full amount of seasoning added to my Philly. Others think it is to salty, which I can see their point, but it was great for me. A Philly with fries was quite a portion. I'm a bigger than average guy, and I was FULL. I was so glad to see they have locations in KC for me to get more. It'll be a 30 minute drive, but worth it! IIRC, sandwiches were ~$7, with fries and drink ~$11. The place was quite loud, although we were seated right by the line (which grew to the door and stayed busy during dinner hours). A combination of TV's, diners and those in line conversing, supplemented by the noise from the grill area all added up; not enough to hinder conversation, but still noticeable. First time here in Sioux Falls, glad i came to Pepperjax. We don't have these where i'm from, and i really love the flavor of their Philly Cheese Streak. Nice pepper flavor, soft bread, straight off the grill just the way i like it! I only had onions and cheese on my Philly, but they have other veggies you can add, and you can even go Queso on it! There are a wide varity of sauces you can add to your food or use them to dip your sides into. I choose the honey mustard as it's my go to for fries if available. read more

One of the best Pepperjax I have been to. Always fast, and an easy place to eat. The food is well made and it is tasty. It's not to pricey either for what you get. Make sure to not skip out on the sauce bar, it has everything you could ever want. The workers are friendly and go out of their way to say hello. I usually get the fireball steak philly. If you really like some zing in the flavor, go FIREBALL: They spray jalapeno juice on it while it is cooking and/or after it is cooked. Not oppressively "jalapeno hot", but nice kick to it! This place was super interesting and I'm honestly curious how they're still in business with how dead it was and how unfriendly the staff was. The idea is unique and build your own Philly bowl or sandwich is something we hadn't seen before. But the ingredients looked not fresh and the sauces were all very strange and smelly. The thing that really sent us over the edge was my boyfriend didn't get cheese on his and then went back to ask for a side - the guy tried to ask for like $2 for the cheese and then when my boyfriend said no thanks I thought it came with it, the guy said yeah it does and threw it in the trash! Can't go wrong with their Philly steak. If you like yours with a extra spicy bite, ask them to make it a "fireball". Jalapeño peppers and other veggies are all sautéed in the jalapeño juice than added to the seasoned steak. Very tasty!!! read more
