It's next door to Gong Cha that I tend to visit whenever I'm in town. I placed an order through the Tahini's app with these items: - Blueberry flame chicken shawarma wrap - Baklava I paid and earned points. Easy peasy! My friend, Jennifer, recommended the blueberry flame chicken shawarma wrap a while back. I have had it before and loved it so much that I tend to get it whenever I see it on the menu. It's the recommendation that keeps on giving! I have never had baklava from Tahini's. It was time to give it a try. I got an estimated time of twenty minutes for my order to be ready. I drove across the street to the plaza and parked near both Tahini's and Gong Cha. There's always plenty of parking here. I ended up getting bubble tea next door at Gong Cha and desserts at M&M Food Market two doors down from Gong Cha. I put everything in my car and headed to Tahini's. There were a couple of customers at a table, chowing down. I headed to the pickup counter and had a nice man help me. I let him know that I had an order under my name. It was ready and in a dark grey plastic bag. He handed it over to me. I thanked him, took a few photos, and happily left with my dinner. I put my food in an insulated bag and drove home. Once I was settled at home, I had dinner. My shawarma wrap was still warm. I found it to be filling and the best blueberry flame chicken shawarma wrap that I have ever had anywhere. It's probably because this place was generous with the blueberry sauce. As a fruit enthusiast, it made my day. It had the perfect balance of sweetness with a bit of a spice kick from the habanero. The chicken shawarma was tender and yummy. I loved the pickles, garlic, and parsley all in a nicely grilled wrap. The box containing my wrap had a contest happening. I unwrapped the box and ended up with 10% off my next order. Sweet! My baklava came in six different pieces. My guess is that the heat from my shawarma transferred over to the baklava. Most of the pieces ended up being more soggy than flaky. Note to self: If I have hot food with my baklava, separate the baklava so it doesn't act as a sponge, absorbing moisture from the hot food. The baklava square with chocolate on top ended up sticking to the container lid. The flavours were yummy. The lone square that wasn't soggy was what the other squares should have been. The pastry was flaky and a much more enjoyable eating experience. I'd return to this location, simply because it was generous with everything in this wrap.
