This was my first time getting an oil change in Eugene and my friend recommended this place. When you pull in, there is a garage with two pull-in spots where they do the work they do. You literally just stay in your car and pick a lane. If they are working on other cars, you just get in line. Once a spot is open, you just wait for them to flag you in place. I was asked set questions, like what am I driving and what services I would like. When I asked about cost, they were happy to tell me prior to service. They occasionally asked me questions about what I would like (ie. changing a filter), or letting me know something. I had to wait for one other car, but both my oil change and the car before me took about 10 minutes, so 20 minutes total. I'll probably come back here the next time I need an oil change. It was nice being able to just hang out in the car and check my email. They checked my lights and changed my windshield wiper fluid too. Easy peasy. read more

I will give them 2 starts because the work seems to be done ok. What wasn't ok is when they don't tell you about the extra cost. I have a 2018 Jeep. The list price says $73. When it was $95 I asked why. I was told my car holds an extra quart of oil and has a special filter. I told him "I t would be nice to be told that prior to doing the service". Moral of the story is stay with your dealership oil changes. Cost half as much and doesn't charge you to fill your fluids. Shady business read more

These guys were great. No sales push to get me to buy things that I don't need. They don't offer coupons but they don't try to talk me into anything I don't need either. If you Google "Jiffy Lube scams" you get to read all sorts of good reasons to go to a local place like Pit Stop. Also, I like it that the guys there were all past their twenties and looked like they had made a career out of the shop instead of a summer job during college! Pit Stop USA is a refreshing change from the other franchises such as Oil Can Henrys or Jiffy Lube. These people, maybe even the owner, seem to actually care about what they are doing. You don't get 3 human robots staring at a computer screen then looking where to add the steering fluid. They appear to be knowledgeable, honest, and always offer a free car wash. If you want minimum wage kids to yell "full...check...good...100%" and then try to up-sell you air filters and windshield wipers, there are plenty of them in town. Personally I like the attitude and experience of someone who owns his own business. This is what I seem to get at Pit Stop USA. Update: I'm going 5 stars. You get a free car wash too. The guy spent a LOT of time scrubbing all sides of my car plus the top! Then he started the automatic machine. Usually, like at Coburg Rd Car Wash, all they do is spray the front and scrub the front and back. Really nice people but in my opinion, not a good value. Basic oil change but they charge for ither top off services that you normally get free at other places. They ask if you want the fluids topped off but I didn't know it wasn't included so the extra charges surprised me. I wasn't upset but felt a little nickle and dimed. Invoice says wipers checked, they were not. I also selected this location for the free car wash however that wasn't being offered on the day I was there. It's on my invoice that I got it but it was closed so no car wash for me. Again, really nice gentlemen there but I won't be back. read more

The workers here are as friendly as they are knowledgeable and honest. as a young female I often feel like I'm being taken for a ride when it comes to things out of my realm - such as auto care. Not here, never once did I feel like they were trying to nickel and dime me. They were honest with what things should be fixed now and what could wait. They even told me where I could order my own parts and proceeded to show me how I could fix it myself to save some money. I will be coming here from now on. read more

Came here on a whim before heading out of town. We were en route to Jiffy Lube but opted to turn around and head to Pit Stop because we were so tired of the up-selling at Jiffy and thought maybe it could be a game-changer for us if we just gave it a chance. Very happy we decided to visit Pit Stop. After having such a straight-forward and positive experience, this is now our go-to spot for oil changes. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes. I have had them change my oil and do a few other small maintenance things with my car several times and every single time they have been great! They have done extra things to help and charged very reasonably. Today, they spent extra time fixing my hood, which has not been closing all the way, because they were concerned for my safety. It entailed taking off the grille, messing with the various bent parts -- it took about 10-15 minutes because it was messed up from a minor collision. Four different people helped work on it to get it to open and close correctly. They didn't charge me *anything* for it. I have had several people look at it, some of them friends of mine, some people who work with cars. No one else took the time to fix it and I could not have done it. When I offered to pay, the man said, "I'm not going to charge you for closing your hood," as if no one would do that. As I understand it they did this so that the hood would not fly up while I was on the freeway and I can't even express how grateful I am that someone cared enough to help me with it just because it was the right thing to do.
