Due to the fact that someone was there "first" we were without 50amp power for 5 nights with temps in the high 90's-100. We had reserved and paid for a 50amp spot. When the "buddy" left we plugged into the 50amp plug, but then another "buddy" pulled in!! Well, we had our RV plugged into the 50 amp and our new neighbor was NOT happy. He actually threatened to unplug us! The front desk and maintenance personnel were very friendly and nice. After complaining about paying for 50amps and not getting it, I was reimbursed $10 a night for the five nights we didn't have the 50amps. The laundry and bathrooms were clean. The location was perfect for our itinerary for the area. I wouldn't recommend this place based on our experience with the electricity as stated above and the daily outages of power. I don't understand why they would keep putting people in the "buddy" spot knowing they can't provide the electricity for it, just seems they are asking for bad reviews and unsatisfied customers.

After 10 it did go pretty quiet, so kudos for enforcing quiet hours. Outside of that, because of the proximity to each other, it was a madhouse. That was probably mainly because neighbors had little respect for others. I also, noticed the electric service had reversed polarity at our site. I must say it was a full weekend. Every site was filled. I would come off season where your not subject to sardine stacking. The surrounding area is nice. I would recommend Aspen Grove across the road. Very nice!

In addition to having a private RV site amongst a bunch of gorgeous aspen trees, Casey was great in terms of making sure we approved of our RV site & that we took the most scenic route to Yellowstone. Also, since the park is in a very rural area known as Squirrel Ashton, the night sky is crowded with stars & there's absolutely no traffic noise. We are not golfers or drinkers, but if you are, the executive golf course & bar are undoubtedly a good time, especially when they have live music venues. The office and store are opened each night till 9 pm! All the mechanicals for hooking up your rv's utilities are all ergonomically configured. Nice space, nice picnic tables. Some premium pull thrus have cabannas and a little larger green footprints. On the minus side - we were a little surprised theres no swimming pool. But my one and only one real disappointment was finding the men's showers were not completely private. I presume same for the women's showers. For the high-end resort price charged, that I found to be less than expected. If the price charged was $70-$80/nite, then maybe that's ok. But we paid a premium rate of $147/nite with showers that were only partially private. I think thats a big miss. But that one miss opportunity aside, the mgt is great. The place is beautiful. The rv sites are very nice. And the convenience of its location is second to none. Less than 1 mi to Yellowstone NP's west entrance! That huge when considering how far you must travel once you are inside the park. And convenient to all the shopping and restaurants in West Yellowstone!! That just can't be beat!! We had a most lovely time!! Would we come back and stay at this rv park? Probably we would. For all the reasons stated above.

We had planned this trip to Yellowstone as a special family vacation and were so excited to make these memories together. Shortly after arriving, our 13-month-old son, who has complex medical needs, began having significant difficulty with the elevation. His oxygen levels became so low that we ultimately had to call 911, and he was transported by ambulance to a hospital approximately 1.5 hours away. Obviously, at that point, continuing our vacation was no longer an option. We contacted Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, explained exactly what was happening, and asked if they would consider refunding or even crediting the unused nights of our stay because we were being forced to leave due to a genuine medical emergency. Their response expressed sympathy for our son, but they still refused to make any exception whatsoever to their cancellation policy. No refund. No credit for the unused nights. I completely understand businesses having cancellation policies. However, there is a tremendous difference between someone simply changing their plans and a family having to leave because their baby is being transported by ambulance to a hospital. What makes this especially disappointing is that their email said they would "love the opportunity to welcome your family back" and "do something special" for us if we return. After refusing to even credit the nights we could not use because our child required emergency medical care, I cannot imagine feeling comfortable booking another stay. The RV park itself may be beautiful and conveniently located, but families should be aware of how strictly this cancellation policy is enforced, even in a documented medical emergency involving a child and an ambulance transport. We certainly did not choose to end our vacation this way. We would have much rather spent those nights making memories at Yellowstone than sitting in an emergency room worried about our son. I sincerely hope management reconsiders how genuine medical emergencies are handled in the future. Compassion in an email is appreciated, but compassion in a policy when a family is facing an actual emergency would mean much more.

I had not heard any complaints from our groups regarding use of any of the facilities. The dish/wash area was well kept and included a microwave. We were newbies to the RV scene but everyone one else in our group has had their fair share of that RV camping life. They remained patient when they realized we hadn't checked in while we had been physically present for at least an hour on the reserved site and our camper was on its way. Apparently we were happy campers and so were the rest of our group. Our organizer selected this spot due to the ease of fishing access for the kids, there was this little extended patch of land the kids were able to go to each day. They caught rainbow trout, the kids were proud and the ones who were too young but watching, well, it probably only ignited their interest even more. Our experience was good, everyone in our group of 30+ enjoyed ourselves and noted this is one of the better if not best sites they have had on their family camping trip.
