Disappointed. Just left here about an hour ago, did not get my oil change. They told me my vehicle required synthetic oil. 76.99 before tax. My vehicle is a Honda Accord and almost ten years old. I just drive ( pre COVID ) to and from work, now I barely drive it. I don't know if they thought because I'm female I was going to fall for it. I had been going here off and on for past ten years or so with different vehicles.. If I was getting work done at the dealership I would let them do the oil change. Ownership probably changed because I felt comfortable bringing my vehicle here but not anymore. I called another oil change place off 103rd Kedzie. I gave them my car info and they gave me three prices. One for regular mileage non synthetic, synthetic semi high mileage and synthetic high mileage. I am going to give them a try. I hope they don't disappoint. If so I will move on. read more

Unfortunately this review is more about the technicians than the establishment, but they reflect the establishment. I stopped in for an oil change an hour before closing because I had a coupon, its winter and I needed an oil change. They techs cursed at each other the entire time, while talking on their phones half the time they were working on my car, and yelling through the bay underneath to find out if things were drained and replaced, etc, usually not responding on the first or second attempt to ask. Very unnerving and reflective of other reviews where things were done improperly. They might have well been goths talking about how awful their day was and how much their lives suck. Whatever super upbeat is, they were the opposite of that. Fortunately my oil change, among the most simple maintenance tasks on a vehicle, was done properly. Unfortunately, when the technician entered my car to start it and test for leaks, on his was in or out, he scratched the leather steering wheel all along the bottom while putting the key in\removing the key. Not sure how he did it, but he did it, and didn't own up to it. Like most people who have written negative reviews, I can say my car left this place in worse condition than it came it. Stay away. I always came to this location to get my oil change because prior to today, I really didn't have problems with the service. Today I tried to get an oil change and encountered a mime at the head of my car who couldn't make up his mind on whether he want to go left, right or forward. He got frustrated and told me he could not check my oil because I could figure out what he was miming. I left and actually found that Jiffy Lube does everything they do and it was cheaper. And I did have to guess the direction he wanted me to turn the car. He help me out of the vehicle and DID IT HIMSELF. So the one star is for the mime at this location that allow me to find better service today. read more

I came here because I previously went to midas up the street, it was filthy and they rather work on the bosses red sports car than help me with mine. This place was like night and day compare to midas. They were straight to business they didn't try to sell me a lot of unnecessary services. I liked that. I got my oil changed and then I was told about a special they had going on for the air conditioning so I was like ok cool do it This was like last month directly after the fourth of July it's now aug.17, 2015 and my air is out again I call an they say come back in so I do. And as soon as I pull in they start telling me all he can do is give me back 36.00 of my 90.00 I paid them because free on is expensive and it leaked out I'm left feeling confused while the guys who work there were laughing at me. I asked for the corporate info the guy says the owner was there so I wait he stays on the phone never acknowledged me my issue he's a ignorant asshole. I previously had my oil changed at the Beverly Pit Stop the week prior, but was stopping by to have my rear tire checked. The employee put the needed air in my tire, but went one important step further by alerting me that I should have my brakes checked. He saw there was corrosion. I immediately went to have them checked and the condition was so bad that I needed to have a brake overhaul which was costly. The front pads were worn down to 30%, which would have ended up going in a potential overhaul scenario too - more expense. I know that there's no way that I would have taken the vehicle in for a routine brake inspection because there was no indication in my mind that the brakes needed to be checked. I highly commend that worker taking the initiative to alert me! We need more workers like him in the workforce by going beyond your job description. read more

I recently had an oil.change done (10/29) my toyota four runner at the pit stop on 101st Western.....one week later my transmission went out....the mechanic who had rebuilt my transmission two month earlier (the car had been running fine no problems) asked if I had recently had an oil change done on car ?...because he found engine oil in my transmission...the owner of Pit Stop did come out to see the car....however when he did arrive he engaged in a confrontation and argument with the mechanic...and claimed he had no responsibility for a blown trasnmission. He offered no concession for the repair cost to fix my car. I was very dissapointed in the fact that he : 1. Argued with the mechanic 2. Offered no compensation or took any responsibility for incident. Fact : car ran well until I got oil change. I'm now forced to pay a seco d time for transmission. Mike R. read more

The advertised price was not the final price. The $65 price for a synthetic oil change jumped to $75 without notice. I asked why the ten dollar difference and I was told the oil filter was the new style and additional charge was added. Why wasn't this stated right away? I have taken the same car to other places and no such charge was added. I hope they enjoyed the ten bucks because I will be taking my repeat business elsewhere. read more
