Small town service, big city taste! Such a cute exterior and interior, just feels incredibly welcoming. The owner takes an immense amount of pride in the satisfaction of his customers and quality of the food. He was walking around the entire time, conversing with customers and checking on their needs. Our server was named Amanda and could not have been more attentive. We had the sliced beef plate and some of the Pit Row BBQ sauce (must try). Probably some of the best brisket I've had in the Houston area... All topped off with a scoop of Bluebell ice cream. They are opening a new location in New Caney, so I'll want to check that out too. This place has only been open for 16 months. We are full-time RVers and have eaten a lot of bbq while traveling the South. This is our favorite. Any place with fall-off-the-bone ribs that are so tasty that sauce is not required has a special place in my stomach. The potato salad is the first ever to remind me of my mom's. So glad I stopped here today. The restaurant is decorated in a 1950's style decor but isn't overdone or gaudy. The owner greeted me personally as I came in, and I was immediately seated and served my drink. The waitress took my order efficiently and correctly, repeating it to make sure it was right. We found this restaurant by all the great Yelp reviews. Worked out for us to meet our Houston group here before heading back to Shreveport. The BBQ was delicious and plentiful.
