Pirates poke is one of my favorite poke places in town. I haven't tried their menu poke but the fish quality and sides are all tasty and cost effective. My best friend and I go here sometimes after going to west coast fitness. It's a perfect after gym meal! The workers are always efficient and kind. Really cute interior with a pirate theme! Great spot for casual dining.

Was craving poke and hopped on door dash and found this place. I built my own poke bowl and got Hawaiian tuna, greens, white rice, edamame, onion, cucumber, crunchy onion, crunchy garlic, pirate sauce and sweet chili yuzu sauce. I also got the Thai tea with tapioca boba. The bowl looked really good. I will say that it had too much sauce for my liking but the flavor was really good. I thought that the tuna was reallllyyyy tasty! I wish the greens were a spring mix. It was just spinach which wasn't bad, just being picky at this point. The crunchy garlic was stale though :( it was sticking to my teeth. The Thai tea was great! It was a bit too sweet so I added some half and half and it then it was perfect! They put a bunch of boba which is AMAZING! I absolutely love tapioca Boba and not a lot of places give enough boba to lash the beverage. Overall, i really enjoyed this place and will definitely be a repeat customer.

Yo this place is shady AF. I ordered a poke bowl that should included salmon and tuna in it. They filled the bowl with 60% and 40% veggies (imitation crab included). There was no tuna or salmon. I didn't realize it until I started mixing my bowl and trying to look for the fish and saw NOTHING! It wasn't a poke bowl it was a vegan bowl!

Hands down, best Poke in the Lacey/Oly area. Super fresh and generous portions. Numerous protein, base and topping options are offered. In addition, they offer non-sushi/poke options like fish amd chips and chicken. The service is excellent. Atmosphere is a fun pirate theme. They are next door to the post office and have a ton of parking. Give this small biz a try!

Great service! Love their milk tea! Poke bowls are a good price. Always hit this place up when I go to the post office.

Reviewing for just the ramen since I haven't tried anything else on their menu…read more My son and I were craving ramen a few weeks ago and we've been trying out different ramen places to compare. We're down the street from Zen and decided to give their ramen a try. Parking is easy to locate but can be a bit crowded since it's in the same lot as Dutch Bros and a couple other shops. When we first entered, we were greeted by an employee (and the Naruto statue at the front hehe). It was fairly empty when we arrived since it was on a Friday around 4ish in the afternoon. You have to pay first when you order. You'll be provided a number placard to place at a table of your choose when you dine in, and your food will be brought to you when it is ready. Drinks are also self-serve (for soda). We decided upon water cups but it's at the same station as the sodas. There is a menu at the cash register for quick ordering if you know what you want (when you walk in, it's on the left). The employee also directed us to a menu with pictures and descriptions of each item (when you walk in, it's on the right). The place definitely has Japanese vibes for the interior decor with its oaky/wooden furniture and warm lighting. Our ramen arrived shortly after we seated ourselves. We both ordered similar spicy ramen, which ended up tasting fairly good. My son really enjoyed his ramen since he liked the level of spiciness and taste of the broth (spicy enough to taste the flavors and feel the heat but not enough to hurt). He also liked that the ingredients were balanced (not an overabundance of just ramen noodles). I did enjoy my ramen as well and shared similar views. My only criticism would be that the ramen options seemed very simplistic and many ingredients were similar, so it didn't feel like much variety. My son and I actually ordered two different kinds of ramen, believe it or not, but from the photos, they look almost identical. There's also only the option of tonkatsu or shoyu broth, regular or spicy. The soft boiled egg was delicious but it would have been nice to receive a full egg instead of just half. They are generous with their chasu portions at least, with its big slices. Not as tender compared to other places I've been to, though, but still tastes good. We enjoyed our experience here though so I can at least say that it's worth trying out the ramen. Not so sure about the sushi burritos but maybe we will consider for next time.

Delicious, healthy food and friendly service! I can't complain :)…read more I was in the area for errands and the name of the restaurant made me want to try out the food here. I went inside to place an order. Although initially vacant at first, the space was quickly occupied by following customers lining up after my arrival. One of the employees appeared to be taking out the trash while the other greeted me and helped me with my order when I arrived. There were various options for ordering, but I decided to go with the nori wrap. You can select a customized option or go with one of their premade choices, which lists all the ingredients inside. I was feeling seafood so I went with the Seahawk. The employee asked me if I wanted everything with it, and I asked to just sub one of the sauces with the Chipotle sauce. The portions are definitely huge and worth the pricing, because she had to double wrap my order just so it would all fit and wouldn't fall out. To pair with the nori wrap, I also ordered the original miso soup, which comes with the usual tofu and seaweed but is on the sweeter side compared to what I'm used to. I personally like it sweeter but if you don't, I probably wouldn't order it. I don't often crave healthy food, but it was fairly filling and I had a good experience, so I'll be back to try out MiSo again!

We take sushi seriously and have tried great spots across the country, so we don't impress easily…read more We stopped at Asahi Sushi on our way to Olympic National Park just for a quick meal -- and it turned into one of the most memorable stops of the trip. The interior feels refined and stylish, with soft lighting and purple accents that give it a calm, upscale vibe. Service was genuinely kind, attentive, and well-timed. The miso soup was deep in flavor, the seaweed salad fresh and nicely plated. The Baked Salmon Roll and Olympian Roll really stood out -- fresh fish, balanced flavors, and beautiful presentation. If you're driving through Olympia, it's absolutely worth a stop.

Great sushi in a convenient location…read more To enter, you have to walk past the sushi bar where the chefs stare at you. Sitting there to eat would probably be awkward with every patron passing behind you. We got the Paradise and the Hurricane rolls. The Paradise was good, but the Hurricane won hands down. Sweet and savory, crunchy and creamy, with a touch of spiciness, this was the complete package. Highly recommend. The bathroom is outside of the restaurant through a winding corridor of backrooms. It's unsettling, and then the restroom itself is lit in a sickly yellow. One of the motion-sensing faucets had its motion-sensor ripped out, and the sink drain looked like it had been dissolved in acid. Kinda weird!
