    Spam musubi
    John W.

Really good food to be had here. I mean it's not Hawaii, but it sure does scratch that itch. Of particular note is the chicken katsu sauce which has a dominant onion profile to it that is otherworldly. The spam musubi is also really great, as was the Poké bowl! My only complaint is they left two ingredients off of my poke bowl, edamame and furikake, which were on the receipt. But everything was so delicious I just dug in and never looked back. The service was also great, especially from the overly energetic person who works behind the sushi bar! She's awesome!

Food and service is consistently amazing! This is where I eat EVERY TIME I'm on the westside. And I absolutely adore the owners. Lots of options but I love the poke bowl!

    Spam Musubi (done right!)

Finally, A place that knows how to make Spam Musubi and they make it while you wait. Really good!! And the people are amazing!

Just ok. They advertise masago on their website and menu but have not had it both times I have been in. I have asked both times and the guy just shakes his head no. Masago is one of my favorite toppings on sushi and poke so it is disappointing when a restaurant says they have it but doesn't actually have it. Their bowl size is smaller than most Poke places but their prices are just as high. It is hard to hear the person behind the plexiglass wall so it is a lot of "what?" while having your bowl made. There is some seating inside.

Regular bowl, with: scallops, salmon, and spicy tuna. I usually ask for all toppings heheh

Decent Poke! Fish quality is okay, most of the flavor for the poke comes from their sauces--I like to get a mix of the spicy mayo and their sweet sauce. Their protein and toppings selection is a bit limited, but SERVING SIZE is good! Will definitely fill you up haha Service is quick, and I enjoy getting takeout and finding a park nearby to eat my poke. Restaurant is spacious and clean.

Bulgogi beef, unagi bowl, and regular sized poke bowl with salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna and sweet sauce! All perfect portions!!

I don't know if this place changed owners or just employees but ever since Jasmin started working here not only has the service been so much better but I look forward to coming here! The food was always good and now the service is just outstanding. She really is kind to customers and such a good person. Thank you Tuna Poke for making great food and giving great service. The inside is starting to look more unified with all the beautiful photos of the different dishes they serve on the wall. And now they support a local artists photography as well!

Regular bowl with Tuna and Spicy Tuna.

Great surprise when we popped in to try Poke in Olympia. Service was great, the place was clean and the food was fresh. We will definitely be back to try more things on the menu. I hope the sushi is as good as the poke bowl!

Does it work? Sure. They have the most pleasant bathroom I've ever walked into with their subtle lighting. None of that florescent lighting, yay! What I really appreciate, as a mom, were all of the pirate toys for our little one to play with so we could eat. I don't think enough restaurants have figured out that little secret to welcoming families to your establishment. The poke though had a LOT going on, perhaps too much. I'm Native Hawaiian, who used to work in a fish market, and I love the taste of fish. I don't think it needs to be buried under a gagillion flavors. The sauces could definitely be toned down. The imitation crab and seaweed salad offered subtle flavors and the rice, garbanzo beans and edamame helped balance out some of the other stronger flavors but the toasted garlic and onions were too overpowering. While they do offer build-your-own bowl options, it seems the pricier options. May be easier to request things on the side. For the record, grated carrots do nothing for poke bowls other than add unnecessary texture. I'd avoid them completely.

The interior feels refined and stylish, with soft lighting and purple accents that give it a calm, upscale vibe. Service was genuinely kind, attentive, and well-timed. The miso soup was deep in flavor, the seaweed salad fresh and nicely plated. The Baked Salmon Roll and Olympian Roll really stood out -- fresh fish, balanced flavors, and beautiful presentation. If you're driving through Olympia, it's absolutely worth a stop.

Great sushi in a convenient location…read more To enter, you have to walk past the sushi bar where the chefs stare at you. Sitting there to eat would probably be awkward with every patron passing behind you. We got the Paradise and the Hurricane rolls. The Paradise was good, but the Hurricane won hands down. Sweet and savory, crunchy and creamy, with a touch of spiciness, this was the complete package. Highly recommend. The bathroom is outside of the restaurant through a winding corridor of backrooms. It's unsettling, and then the restroom itself is lit in a sickly yellow. One of the motion-sensing faucets had its motion-sensor ripped out, and the sink drain looked like it had been dissolved in acid. Kinda weird!

Reviewing for just the ramen since I haven't tried anything else on their menu…read more My son and I were craving ramen a few weeks ago and we've been trying out different ramen places to compare. We're down the street from Zen and decided to give their ramen a try. Parking is easy to locate but can be a bit crowded since it's in the same lot as Dutch Bros and a couple other shops. When we first entered, we were greeted by an employee (and the Naruto statue at the front hehe). It was fairly empty when we arrived since it was on a Friday around 4ish in the afternoon. You have to pay first when you order. You'll be provided a number placard to place at a table of your choose when you dine in, and your food will be brought to you when it is ready. Drinks are also self-serve (for soda). We decided upon water cups but it's at the same station as the sodas. There is a menu at the cash register for quick ordering if you know what you want (when you walk in, it's on the left). The employee also directed us to a menu with pictures and descriptions of each item (when you walk in, it's on the right). The place definitely has Japanese vibes for the interior decor with its oaky/wooden furniture and warm lighting. Our ramen arrived shortly after we seated ourselves. We both ordered similar spicy ramen, which ended up tasting fairly good. My son really enjoyed his ramen since he liked the level of spiciness and taste of the broth (spicy enough to taste the flavors and feel the heat but not enough to hurt). He also liked that the ingredients were balanced (not an overabundance of just ramen noodles). I did enjoy my ramen as well and shared similar views. My only criticism would be that the ramen options seemed very simplistic and many ingredients were similar, so it didn't feel like much variety. My son and I actually ordered two different kinds of ramen, believe it or not, but from the photos, they look almost identical. There's also only the option of tonkatsu or shoyu broth, regular or spicy. The soft boiled egg was delicious but it would have been nice to receive a full egg instead of just half. They are generous with their chasu portions at least, with its big slices. Not as tender compared to other places I've been to, though, but still tastes good. We enjoyed our experience here though so I can at least say that it's worth trying out the ramen. Not so sure about the sushi burritos but maybe we will consider for next time.

A friend of mine went through multiple countries in Asia, including Japan and Tokyo, and told me the sushi at Kamakura was actually BETTER than any he had on his trip through Asia. The staff is absolutely amazing every time I've been there. They are kind, quick, and attentive. I have seen this small restaurant transform through remodeling from a cute little place to enjoy sushi to a true atmosphere where you feel like you're getting a luxury dining experience. To give some tips on my favorite rolls, the Las Vegas roll (while it has gotten a bit smaller since years ago) is such a unique and delicious roll ESPECIALLY if you like a creamy warm roll. For those who do not like cream cheese or avocado on their rolls, I HAVE to recommend one of the latest additions to their menu, the Unagi Lover. This roll has such a great combination of flavors, and the unagi on top is excellent.

The flavor profile of the yakisoba is not good. There is even a smell to the food that is off-putting. The roll, it wasn't crunchy. It mainly had one overwhelming flavor that took away from all of the other flavors in the roll. Their online presence is very frustrating when trying to find an accurate menu. In house they have a QR code that you can take with you. That is nice. Unfortunately I am throwing out $40 of food/tip as it is not edible imho. I love sushi but I'm not inclined to return.
