Wow! We had such a nice time at pirates cove and we didn't even do all the activities! We went later in the day to meet friends who were staying at Jellystone and we had to park near the jellystone entrance which was just a short walk. Once there we hung out on the smaller kid side and let me son have fun with the smaller slides. He really enjoyed the several options here, but the water pressure didn't always allow him to freely slide down the slides. He had to constantly push himself to keep going down. After a couple hours there we ventured to the bigger side where, to my surprise, my son was tall enough for just about everything! We hung out in the lazy river for awhile then enjoyed all the big slides as most of them had pretty short wait times. The attendants at the slides were all nice. It took awhile sometimes to wait for an inflatable or racing mat for two of the slides, but after you get one you go right away. I actually enjoyed all the stairs too - most of the slides on the big side share the same stairwell, which surprisingly didn't get too crowded, but I got over 15,000 steps for the day going up and down those stairs about 8 times so I appreciated that. It was a nice family place with options for entertainment! We saw that they also had an arcade that we didn't check out, but it seemed like a lot of people were having fun there too. I'd say people of all ages were having a nice time here, especially with the live DJ in the lazy river - so fun!! read more

First time visit. I went on 100 + degree day in August. The water temperature felt perfect! We went around 11 AM. We left around 5 PM. I went on a Sunday. Best time for the blue mat related race slides/ doubles Inter-tubes was after 12:30 PM. Plenty of life guards on site. First aid/medic available by restrooms by Kiddie Slides. Lost and Found is closer towards the entrance. Cabanas, for group events, are available to reserve. We were able to score one right by the kiddie slides and waterfall. We celebrated a kids birthday. Staff assisted us with a cake knife. I had to go in a few times to retrieve paper plates, napkins, and plastic forks. The items were easy to find. There were a few spots for selfies- ie by the alligator and/or shake (by the Lazy River) . Lazy river and slides were solid. Great for my super-niece: almost 10 year old. Rafts are available for rent. I'm 5'4 / didn't feel a need for a raft in said Lazy River. We were able to bring in extras towels and sunscreens. Food available for purchase. Pre-orders of pizza pies recommended. This location is connected to JellyStone Park at Rustic Creek Ranch. One entrance to the park. Only reason I'm giving this location three stars is because every year we have come there is so much damage to everything that with the amount of money they are making I wish they would use their downtime to make the proper repairs to make it a safe environment for children. PROS: Small side for younger kids though big enough even adults can go down slides and have fun with kids. There is also food and games and PLENTY of cabanas to rent ($30) - There is a lot to do, the price is fair in my eyes for what you get. The water is cold, we went on 103 degree day and the water felt great still. I will deff be back! Plenty of room everywhere, we did go on weekday however. CONS: Parking area has potholes but wasn't the biggest deal to us. Food Court had limited options nothing healthy but the biggest deal is food took a REALLY long time. Nachos took 20 minutes, yikes! I felt bad for the workers, we ventured to gift shop while waiting but some people grew heavily impatient. THE PLANTS DESPERATELY NEEDED WATER!!!! We stayed at Jellystone so the waterpark was free aka included in our stay. Unlimited access!! Woohoo! So if you have the jellystone bracelet on, skip the ticket line and head to bag check. No outside food, no drinks except water. Boooo! No alcohol on the premises. Anyway so entering, to the left is the lazy river and big kids slides. And sno comes. To the right is the snacks booth, kids swim play area, and the grill. In front on you is the locker rental & arcade. Yes, arcade in the waterpark. I never had problems finding somewhere to sit. Very small park. If you're not staying at Jellystone park, I wouldn't recommend paying the $27 for the waterpark. The concession stand had pretty slow service causing long lines. Absolutely no sense of urgency in these staff members. They messed up my order (I asked for chicken tenders but they got my corn dog). If you order pizza by the slice, it's ready. If you order anything else, you may be waiting upwards of 30 minutes. Other than the snack bar, it's the only place to get food. There's 1 cashier, 1 guy handing your order... yeah. Waterpark itself the kids are bored after 2-3 hrs. It's nice & new but small and not worth the admission price. read more

Love this little water park even bette than the big ones! It's free parking, easy entrance. Cabana was only $15 and wasn't busy at all. We stayed mostly on the "little kid" side and it was so great for the kiddos. 6+ different slides from very small to pretty wild for a kiddie park. Cabana came with a table with 4 chairs and a lounge chair. The gift shop had adorable swimsuits for $22 (adult size with top and bottom!) which was a total steal! Food was good - hamburgers, nachos, hotdog, pizza and such very reasonably priced. Tons of life guards on watch and they literally RAN if they needed to help. "Big folks" side had a lazy river and several larger slides that would keep the more adventurous entertained. Tube rental was $3-5 for single and double all day. All and all we had a blast! The kiddos loved it and I honestly did too. We will all sleep well tonight after this wild day! read more

This was our 1st time going here. And we really enjoyed it, I like how they have to different areas for the kids. One side they can play on there own and ride the watersides with no problem of height, on the other side they have a lazy river and bigger waterslides for adults and bigger kids. But I did find out that you have to rent a tube for the lazy river, which I honestly believe it's crazy. But if your lucky you can find one floating around in the river for free! The entry price and food was a little pricey. We paid $15 for a pizza and $3-4 for a boat of fries well the pizza was super small for the price and the "boat" of fries is a small any were else. This water park is way over-priced for what is there. A friend recently took her granddaughter. Twenty minutes after getting into the park, it was decided to clear the park as there was a storm coming. No refunds or rain checks. A birthday party was also ridiculous. When it was time to pay the bill, it was almost $100 more than we were quoted. A charge for a hostess fee. We had no hostess, we did it all ourselves. On the flyer we had in hand, we were told the things we wanted were included in the price but on the day of the party we were told each thing was an additional price. Never again and never would I recommend this place to anyone. Way over priced for what you DON'T get! read more

The place is so much fun and has so much fun stuff for the kids but unfortunately I had a bad experience with a staff member. I, along with other moms, was waiting for my son to do the box cross (idk the name of it) and the life guard told me I had to leave and yelled at me, waiving his hand across to get me to go. I had asked if I could wait in an area where I wouldn't be in the way and he told me no. There was other moms waiting for their children as well and they said he yelled at them also. I am so sad that this staff member wouldn't allow me to wait for my 3 year old son and expected me to leave him alone there. My son got scared of his tone and decided he'd rather not do it. We took the grandkids on Wednesday they had a blast! This park is the perfect size plenty of things for the kids to do, water slides, wading pools, lazy river, and a restaurant for lunch. We saw the staff checking the chlorine levels several times. We will be back. read more

Fun time! This is a smaller water park than some of the ones that I visited in the past, but we definitely enjoyed it here. The park is kind of divided into two parks - once you enter, the smaller kids' section is off to the right. The adults/ older kids section is off to the left. In the middle of the two sections, there is an indoor area with a climbing wall, ropes, and arcade games. I didn't spend too much time over in the smaller kids section, but it looked like a lot of fun for younger kiddos. We primarily spent the afternoon over in the older kids/ adult area. There are 4 different slides you can go on - my sons (7 and 9) loved them! My husband and I pretty much stayed in the lazy river. There are lifeguards everywhere, the water appeared clean, and the staff was friendly to us. There was plenty of covered picnic tables and lawn chairs but they do NOT allow outside food to come in - and they will check your bag when you come in. They sell food & drinks there but we did not eat here as we went right after lunch and left just before dinner. They also rent cabanas if you want something a little more private. I would recommend bringing a small padlock if you intend to use their lockers, otherwise you will be paying $7 for a lock. You get to keep your lock, but if you have one you can bring you do not have to pay to use the lockers at all. read more

Great water park to take the kids to. Let them play in the water and ride some water slides. They have 4 water slides. They have a paddling pool for toddlers. They have a small swimming pool with basketball goals. They have an arcade inside if you need a break from the water. They serve food but it's hamburgers, nachos, pizza, and fries. They have private cabanas that you can rent for the day that are covered. Lockers are also available to rent. They are opening a new addition to the park coming up in July. It is a smaller water park but it's great if you have smaller children you can spot them pretty much anywhere. Not too big like some of the others. My family and I went from 4-6 on Thursday. The park was small but alot of fun until we had to get out because someone's kid pooped in the water This happened 3 times while we were there and the last time was about 45 minutes before closing and they just decided to close the whole area for the rest of the day. I know it's not their fault that a child had an accident but we were only able to play in that area for about 30 mins total, so it was pretty disappointing. I think they just didn't want to have to go through the hassle of cleaning again so they shut it down early. I definitely didn't want my kids playing in poopy water lol but it was still disappointing for them especially since we only had two hours. read more

Scheduled a birthday party for 34 kids on 8/12 from 1pm to 6pm. At 3pm it rained and they closed down the park. They stated due to weather but other water parks remained open. Spoke with the manager and she stated we closed you received a 2hr party no compensation. Hmmmmm So I send 1000 for a 2hr!!! So upset and I will never spend another dime with your company. This was our first trip to the park this year. Overall not too crowded for a Saturday. We felt like some of the lines in the "bigger" side of the park had a loooonng wait despite short lines. I can't imagine the wait on a busy day. Even though there were two slides for one line we noticed the lifeguards were only allowing one rider at a time and the other slide would be without a rider, instead of sending one rider on each slide at the same time. Then the exit lifeguard would wait till the rider exited the swim area completely before sending down another rider. Slow process that needs improvement or more lifeguards to speed lines along. We also ate at the indoor grill and waited almost 30min for nachos (chips and liquid cheese) cheese fries, and a burger. This is typical concession stand food that takes only a minute or two to make. Food is pricey $$$ and downfall is you CANT BRING ANY FOOD/DRINKS into park. They were completely sold out of pizza due to serving numerous birthday parties. The park itself was clean and plenty of space to lounge or grab a picnic table. The park is small and is great for younger kids too, not a lot of walking. Also I think they should charge admission based on height bc my 5yr old couldn't go on any of the slides bc he's not tall enough, but is charged same amount as the ones who can. read more

The water park was nice but felt overpriced for the experience. It would be better if they were going to charge that much to at least let you bring in your own food and drink, especially when they are not equipped with the staff or menu to cater to a full park. The menu options are all greasy, processed or fried and ridiculously over price. Once we waited through the line to order I was told it would be a 30-45 minute wait for pizza, so ordered nachos (just chips with melted cheese) thinking it would be quicker, wrong, after waiting a while and thinking they lost our order went to the counter and was told they were waiting on cheese to warm up. Really? You have a park full of people and you are relying on a small crock pot to keep up with the demand! They need to have better trained staff, better options on the menu or just let people bring in their own food and drinks. read more

They are VERY proud of their facilities!! The cost is outrageous, for entry into the park, for food/drinks (and the food is yucky fair- type food) and if you want to use a raft in the lazy river, bring extra cash because they charge a rental fee. The life guards on the slides are lazy....I ran into a child who was playing at the bottom of the slide, despite my attempts to slow myself down one I turned the corner and saw him. On another slide, I was told I could "go" by the life guard when I could clearly see someone at the bottom.... It was very disappointing. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because my children were having fun. I hope they rethink some of their policies. read more

Why did I go back to this place?! Did I not learn my lesson last year?!. Way overpriced first of all. They say they provide water inside because they don't allow you to bring coolers in but their version of free water is an igloo container with old warm stale water in it. they have a little grill that you can order all kinds of items from but you have to wait in line for 20 to 30 minutes just to place your order and then another 20 to 30 minutes to get your food. It was the same way last year so it's not like this was just an off day for them. Absolutely ridiculous. If you're not going to let us bring in coolers or snacks then you need to be more efficient with your snack bar and grill. I went toThe snack bar and it didn't have any food items or any of the actual drinks that were advertised. Every employee could not have been more than 17 years old. Which is fine if they are properly trained or properly supervised to get their jobs done efficiently. I'm over this place and if I'm going to spend $25 per admission ticket I will just drive to Arlington or Fort Worth. I'm done. read more

My family has bought season passes from Pirates Cove for the last 3 years, we enjoy it because it is close and convenient. This year due to COVID-19 we do not feel comfortable going to the water park for obvious reasons, on top of that 2 of us are immunocompromised. Pirates Cove stated that they were not going to give any refunds, because they could reopen, and customers would be encouraged to stay 6ft apart. I'm not sure how this would be possible in areas like the lazy river, or if the lazy river is even open. So, for customers who do not feel comfortable with the set guidelines, that are trying to protect themselves, loved ones, and just the general public are experiencing a $325 loss. We have expressed to Pirates Cove that it would be more fair if there was an option to get a refund or take the risk of going to the water park this season and not get a refund, this idea was shut down quickly and we were told a refund would not be given. This to us expresses that this water park is not concerned about the safety of customers, but is more concerned with making money. Again, Pirates cove did say that safety precautions were being put in place, but for immunocompromised individuals these precautions are not enough. In a pandemic, a refund should be an option. Due to this experience we will not be purchasing season passes or even day passes to Pirates Cove in the future. read more

Our family of 5 had a great time. We got discounted tickets with a group rate for church. The park is definitely geared towards younger children to tweens. My kids ranged from 5-7. This was the first park my 5 year old could ride most of the rides and bounced from excitement. The lifeguards were laid back and would help catch my little one off the big slide. I have 3 boys, my middle son will be 9 tomorrow. I took him to Pirates Cove 3 years ago for he first time for his birthday. It was smaller than expected, BUT way better than Hurricane Harbor to me. There were barely any lines for him to ride the slides. He had a blast. The food is ok, nothing special and could be a little cheaper. We did rent a cabana which made for a great personal space that was just ours. He had so much fun, he requested to go back for his 8th birthday. This time they had expanded, the lazy river and the new and bigger slides. He loved it even more! So as you can guess, with his birthday being tomorrow..... once again Pirates Cove wins over Hurricane Harbor in our family. If you are looking for something with not that many people and lines with crowds, this is the place to go. I have never had any problems in the 3 years we've been going. read more
