It is not a high end place with tons of high thrill water…read moreslides, but it has two decent sized slides, and a tall slide where you go down head first with a sled type of mat under your chest. There is a really nice lazy river, a normal sized pool, and two great areas for kids with all sorts of ways to cool off. The food is also not bad at all for a water park. Well, I can't comment on the facilities or the rooms but I can comment on a lack of customer…read moreservice. You will not be able to talk to anybody. It's all done via email. I had left multiple phone messages, shot emails trying to secure rooms and surf sessions and it was a complete pain in the ass. I will say somebody started sending me text messages, but that was as far as I got to actually talking to somebody . There are no photos on their website of the rooms, no menus for the restaurants, Slab barrel season will set you back over $1500 to $3000 for an hour unless you can get a bunch of friends to go with you because it's a private session. The only thing I was able to book in three weeks were the hotel rooms. Oh and if you send multiple emails, you will get a email stating that emails are returned in the order they are received which means if you send additional emails you're gonna get kicked to the back of the line. I ended up canceling that because I couldn't secure any surf sessions and they were quickly going away. I also read some other reviews and I couldn't risk flying all the way from California to Waco surf hoping I was gonna have a good time. Maybe if their customer service was better, website provided more information, or you were able to talk to a live human being I might have been able to book everything a few weeks ago, but that wasn't the case.

You can't bring in your own float devices but at the same time, there's never enough tubes for the lazy river. This last visit, I want to say there were 10 and the life guard mentioned people taking them out the water to their tables & chairs. There were also lots of tubes deflated. The structure needs to be updated and walls are crumbling and falling apart. Seriously, this place needs a make over especially if we are closing the affordable community pools and pushing folks to these places.

Admittedly, the ticket buying process is a bit cumbersome on site. And parking is ridiculously inadequate. BUT, once you actually get inside, it's so much fun. I'm always able to snag a seat in an unreserved area to chill in the shade. And they also have lockers for your stuff for a small free. Some of the grown-ups swim attire on a recent visit was a little....questionable but nothing you wouldn't see at the beach on vacation. The best part? Dallas residents get discounted entry (as we should!). Highly recommend for keeping the kids busy over the summer (come early!)

He loves waterparks more than anything in life, but we've already been to Great Wolf Lodge on multiple occasions, and we preferred to book with Bonvoy points over shelling out the cash for GWL. Plus, we didn't have a ton of waterpark time on the schedule - win, win, win. One thing that was frustrating is that there was zero record anywhere on the internet of the height requirement for the slides here. Well, internet, I'm here to save you with the answers. We have a son that was 43" as of this visit, and he would be crushed to get his hopes up about doing these slides, only to find out that he's not allowed to. There's one big water "castle" with 3 slides. Those requirements are 42". We actually came here a couple of years ago and he definitely did those slides then, and he was most certainly not 42" then. So I'm not sure if they just changed these or they just weren't enforcing the rules in 2023, but they definitely were measuring him on this visit. Then there's one bigger water slide that's stand alone. The requirements are that you have to be 48" to ride freely, but 42-47" is ok with a life jacket. And then the same restrictions apply to the zip line where you can jump in the water after hanging from several feet above the water. The annoying thing about this was that we were there early in the morning and were the only ones doing it. Yet the lifeguard literally measured my son each time he walked up, despite the fact that he was literally doing it over and over again with no one else around. Make it make sense. Overall, this is not the most amazing waterpark you'll find. But when you book with points, all you have to pay is the resort fee and for parking. It's pretty good bang for your buck when you think about it in those terms.

We specifically planned our day around visiting the water park and arrived around 1 PM expecting to stay until closing. Unfortunately, the park was closed around 4 PM due to approaching weather. While I completely understand that safety comes first, what disappointed me was how ResortPass handled the situation afterward. Despite the fact that we lost most of the experience we paid for and had no opportunity to return because my family had already left the country, ResortPass only offered a 50% refund. They based their calculation on the park's total operating hours rather than the actual circumstances of our visit. Parking costs were not addressed, and the fact that future tickets would be useless to us seemed to be ignored. After further discussions, the only additional compensation offered was a 20% discount on a future ResortPass booking, which provides little value considering the situation. Customer service was polite, but the final resolution felt disappointing and did not reflect the unique circumstances of our visit. I expected a company that values customer experience to handle this situation more fairly. Would not book through ResortPass / Paradise Springs again based on how this issue was resolved.

What a great way to spend a day! Just an hour and a half outside of Dallas, you can immerse…read moreyourself in the time when dinosaurs ruled the earth! There's actual dinosaur tracks preserved in the rock at Dinosaur Valley State Park, and that just adds even more fun to the experience! We went for the day and the entrance fee was $8 per adult. They accept cards and cash at the Ranger Station. Prior to arriving I tried to buy tickets online, but I kept only seeing tickets for overnight camping. Nonetheless, we were still able to pay at the entrance and we were even able to get out and use the restroom facilities at the entrance. Once you pay your entrance fee, a ranger will give you a trail map. There is ample parking inside the park, so there are lots of possibilities on where to start your adventure. We started on the Pawluxy River trail and crossed over to the main track site where the dinosaur prints are very clear. The river crossing has slightly protruding rocks that you have to navigate on foot to get across the river. I wore hiking boots and I think this was ideal for the environment. From there we switched to the overlook trail where the elevation is 850 ft, so you get a great view of the whole Pawluxy River Valley. From there we descended to the Black-capped Vireo Trail, then crossed the Pawluxy River to make our way back to our car. While there's endless combinations of hikes you can take, ours took about 3 hours. Along the way there were lots of people. Mostly gathered at the river and at the tracks. The rest of the trails were actually very quiet and peaceful. In addition to hiking, there are other points of interest. There are dinosaur models, a swimming hole and of course multiple dinosaur track sites. Overall, Dinosaur Valley is a great state park with something for everyone!

We made a reservation online since it was around spring break and their Facebook site was showing they were selling out. We arrived around 8:45 and it wasn't crowded at all. We stopped in the Dino store for some water and the cashier gave us some tips on trails to check out. The water levels were higher than when they recommend visiting (summer). We brought water shoes with us and walked in the water in some of the shallow parts right next to million year old tracks! What an experience for our family. By the time we were leaving, the park was filling up quick. We drove around and checked out the playgrounds and camp sites. It would be awesome to camp out in the park. It gave us ideas for our next trip.
