Good food, great people, fun stuff to do, relaxing, exciting, not overly full, beautiful surroundings, good music AND the staff is clearly well trained as they were performing surprise training while on duty. This water park is pretty awesome apart from the fact that there's actual human shit smeared (been there for more than a week cause we got a pineapple pass) in the walls of the men's bathroom and bugs are in the pool areas other than that the attractions are great! Today I visited Hawaiian falls in Waco Texas, I have a fun pass and the cups that come with the fun pass, I bought the cup on a previous trip to Hawaiian falls and I went over to pay for a refill and got the drink I wanted when I drunk my drink there was soap in the cup so I dumped it and went to get another refill. As I was walking over to get a refill the male worker (grey shirt) tells me that it would be 2$ to get a refill and I told him what the problem was and he gave me a very nasty attitude and began snapping his neck and rolling eyes. I then went to go get my card to pay AGAIN and it was another female worker (pink shirt, black braids) gave me an attitude and began talking about me to other workers. This is not the first time the workers in the food court has been disrespectful and something truly needs to be done about them. I DO NOT recommend buying food&drinks from the food court at Hawaiian falls. I will not be returning to this location until something is truly done. read more

Overpriced, dirty, terrible waterpark. Literally do not go here. The water is cloudy and dirty and it's overall super crowded and they let too many people in the park for it's size HERES THE WORST PART OF MY EXPERIENCE : I asked if I could get dole whip since they just started serving it and there's a big sign that says "NOW SERVING DOLE WHIP" The worker literally looked at me and said... "what's that?" I pointed to the sign and he shrugged. He also didn't know the names of any of the drinks at the H Tea O shack. I really wanted the dole whip and was pissed they didn't have it. Then, I ordered 6 chicken dippers fries and a drink for $13... When it came out to me they were very dark brown (kinda burnt) and the worker said to me "I promise they're not burnt I cooked them and tried one myself they are good" .... Our family loved Hawaiian Falls in Waco. We went in July of 2022 and got there at opening time. Parking was easy and we were able to find a close spot. We brought our own coolers and it was no prob carding them in with us. The park was the perfect size for our seven-year-old son to explore the entire place and ride the rides multiple times. We especially loved that even though he is not a strong swimmer, he was able to get into all the shallow pools and have plenty of fun without wearing a bulky lifejacket all day. We brought own own life jacket for the larger rides and it was fine. The lifeguards even caught him at the bottom! They were awesome! Our attendant at our cabana was wonderful and checked on us often. The safe was super handy to have. The bathrooms were clean. And the lines were short.. We will be back next summer! read more

I truly believe one star is too much. This place is horrible, trashy, gross, and overcrowded. So many bad things here that I literally do not believe there is even one good thing. Let's start with the price- overpriced. Not at all worth it. Even paying $10 would be overpriced here. You can't bring any food/drinks in unless you want to pay $15. The wait to go down the big slides are insane. They literally had maybe 8 tubes- and I'm not even joking. You have to wait in line to get a tube, to then wait in line again. You can purchase a tube there, a double was $25. No thank you. Why have these slides if you don't have tubes for people!? Lazy river was disgusting. Water was filthy and nasty. Once again, like no tubes. I don't understand why have s water park this high priced and not allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy. The kids slide area was a lawsuit waiting to happen. No lifeguards again and kids of all ages all over each other and falling everywhere. Someone is gonna get seriously hurt or worse. The body slide was not as bad of a wait bc you don't need a tube. But no lifeguards at the bottom only one at the top manning both the tube slide and the body slide. The slides you go down on your stomach on a mat- wait wasn't too bad- but the mats were moldy and disgusting. The walk to the entrance is horrible bc the grounds so hot it burns your feet. That's actually everywhere here. Not sure why they don't have some better coating or shade. Wave pool-- gross, no tubes once again and the floor is chipping away just like every other area in the place. This place needs new management to come in and clean house. It needs some major upgrades. There are so many water leaks on so many areas I'm shocked in this drought waco is in- it hasn't been shut down. The food is overpriced, and just meh. We waited 50 minutes for hot dog and fries!!! They blamed it on people stealing food but it was just them taking on more than they could handle. They should of called for help or told People they had to catch up first. The staff-- this was a hard one. They were all rude or just plain did not care. I didn't see lifeguards doing much to pay attention. A lot of them were on phones when we'd see them. How? It's not secretly when we can all see you doing it. Just save your time and don't go. *Disclaimer* If you have a child 3-7yo, you might get an extra star. Otherwise, the water park is a hot mess. The wave pool has no waves. The lazy river has no tubes, and plagued with rowdy teenagers. The water slide with 6 slides only had 1 working and not enough pressure to push you all the way through. A few other attractions were closed completely. So much chlorine you skin itches. The food and beverages...you don't go there for that, and you shouldn't. I'm sure the staff is crazy irritated by the young teens losing their minds all over the park, but that attitude carries over into anyone including responsible adults. Which then evolves into mild disrespect. At $30 per person entry, you are left very dissatisfied and wanting more. read more

No implementation of COVID procedures. Honestly the state should probably shut this place down. Our family has already had COVID-19 months ago, so we are a little more lax when it comes to extra precautions regarding COVID. HOWEVER, this place is... gross. Pandemic or not. The bathrooms are disgusting and smell like death and DIRTY. Changing spaces were disgusting. Tables were dirty and I never not once saw anyone clean or sanitize anything. No social distancing around concession areas. Hand sanitizer station was completely out.. all day. Luckily we took our own disinfectant and sanitizer. Cause ewe. Wish I would have thought to take more pictures. Especially of the table we sat down at.. so gross. Will not be returning under any circumstance. Please please do not go here ! This place is a huge safety and health hazard. In our first visit and a short one might I add it didn't take long to see the many things that were falling apart and unsafe. The lines upon entry were not clearly defined and had one person working so it was slow to get in ... I get it understaffed maybe no biggie. When we entered there were no life jackets available (we arrived 2 hours after opening). We noticed the ground was rocky because there were tiny pieces of gravel breaking off of the water pd and being spread out (it hurt real bad to walk on). We all walked around tried all the areas and swam a little in each pool before leaving. We noticed there were not enough of any tube or mat for the water slides, 4-6 in total for the whole park. There were broken wooden poles at all the lines that exposed metal and wood shavings. The water was soo nasty. In the lazy river there was a ton of sand, trash and grass/leaves. Aside from the awful upkeep and the park looking like a safety nightmare I was actually asked to leave because I was taking pictures of things. The area director approached me and let me know he didn't like me taking pictures and that if I wasn't going to spend time enjoying the park with my family and put away my phone I had to leave. Storm blew through town night before. We showed up 15 min after they opened and they had twigs, stems and stuff all over the place. Very little staff on hand to clean pools. They could have stepped it up a little on the cleaning before opening park. Gheeze by 11:30 I was bored and wanted to eat and food was not ready...because they were out cleaning pools. The lifeguards do not seem to be doing their job, one even was playing on their phone at the lazy river. The people cleaning the Wave pool were SLLLOOOOWWWW & cannot even tell you how un-happy they looked doing it. For the price, this waterpark isn't bad at all. It's very small and simple. But it has a few great spots for younger and smaller children and there's plenty of chairs for the parent to lay out while the kids play and relax. It does get busy midday but clears out a good amount by 3 pm. I like taking my kids here cause my son is almost 12 and he can go ride things and come back and the park is small enough where I wouldn't lose him. This park is a great experience. Get your tickets online to save time waiting at the gate and money. And as always, ready all the info about the park prior to so you know what to expect. read more

Nice family waterpark. I spent a Saturday afternoon here with my kids. We arrived around 3 and stayed until close and tried every attraction multiple times. The park is the perfect size for a four or five hour stay. You can walk from one end to the other in a few minutes but there's a lot packed into that space. The lines were short and the slides and rides were fun for all ages. I saw lots of families and kids, tots to teens, and there was something for everyone. The staff was friendly and the park was clean. Food on site leaves something to be desired (slow service and limited to basics like burgers, hot dogs, and chicken nuggets), but for a fee you can bring in your own picnic. Lots of families seemed to be renting the cabanas and making a day of it. read more

Our family had a great time at the water park! We were a little leary about visiting based on other reviews but decided to give it a try, and we're very glad we did! The park was spotlessly clean and definitely had a crowd, but wasn't crowded at all. There were lifeguards EVERYWHERE and they were constantly moving and thoroughly checking the water. Having young kids, this really helped put our minds at ease. Every employee was very friendly and helpful. There are several slides, a lazy river, wave pool, kids play area and slides, and even a very small shallow pool for babies. There are guidelines well posted, and the staff firmly, yet gently enforces them. They really make sure everyone is safe and having a good time. We purchased tickets ahead of time at HEB and saved about $10 per adult ticket. Our oldest daughter could have gotten in with a child's ticket (Lil​ Kahuna) but HEB only sells adult tickets,​ but it still saved a dollar. We decided to pack a cooler with drinks and lunches and left it in the car. (To bring a cooler in the park requires a $15 pass). We simply asked for re-entry bands at the gate to go in and out as we pleased. Parking is very close to the entrance and it gave the kids a chance to take a break. I would highly recommend doing this. Lunch options at the park seemed very reasonably priced (most expensive lunch was a burger combo at $10), but we went on a Monday and they didn't appear to be serving lunch, though they may have been somewhere else in the park and I just missed it. Our whole family was glad we paid a visit to Hawaiian falls and we look forward to visiting in the future! read more

This place has gotten run down and expensive for what it is. The wave pool doesn't make waves anymore. If you want a refillable souvenir cup you can only get one if you hold season passes. The grass is brown, paint is chipping, and one ride the water wasn't strong enough to push anyone through. With one concession open and expensive food and drink prices, my $30 per person can take me to a much bigger park near Dallas. read more

For starters, trash is never picked up either on the inside or the outside of the park. Nothing is cleaned. There is always trash in the lazy river and the wave pool. There is grass growing up in the concrete around theh pools. The tubes keep disappearing and the ones that are out are flat. Food in the cantina is terrible, it took over 30 minutes for hotdog and fries and there were no napkins and Pepsi is a sponsor and they were OUT of PEPSI!! I bought 3 tickets to the Hawaiian Falls Waco on Monday August 14, 2023 because when I googled the park it said the park was open that day. When I drove 45 minutes to get there it comes to find out the park is closed. When I ask the man in the parking lot that was putting chemical in the pools he said to email customer service and they would refund me. He also advised I was not the only customer that had come that day. When I emailed customer service they told me the tickets are non-refundable. I understand they are non-refundable but when the website says they are open then, I should get the refund. I am very unhappy with the customer support. They will not email be back. I screenshot the website to show it was saying they were open. A few minutes later I looked and they changed the website. I go to Hawaiian Falls every year and get a cabana every time I go. I will no longer go to there due to this issue. If your website was updated then I would have known. read more

I give this place a third star only because I did not have to pay the full price as I had purchased a pogo pass. The lines were not to terribly long, but there were some things not operational. Also, when I went to get a snow cone for my kids, I couldn't help but notice the girl who was making it took my money with gloves on and then proceeded to mold the snow cone with those same gloves. I told her I would need a new one, because I am not eating something that has touched money, and in a water park to boot. I didn't try to get any food here, but I'm sure it is no better. I will say this though... the lifeguards seemed to be very vigilant in their jobs. I have not yet decided if I will give this place another chance. read more

A little disclaimer here, I never in my wildest dreams, thought I would give a water park a bad review. I love the water and have visited many water parks over the years, small and large. That being said, Hawaiian Falls in Waco failed on so many levels. We arrived at opening time and the line was out into the parking lot. This wasn't entirely surprising, being that it was a Saturday, but the line moved at a snail's pace. I got the feeling that the employees at the gate had no clue what they were doing. I rented a locker (exorbitant locker fees, by the way, for such a small park) and went over to find that the locker I was assigned didn't even have a locking mechanism on it. So I had to take no less than 5 minutes to switch the key out for a locker that actually worked. One of the first things I noticed when we first entered the park was the dirtiness. The park had just opened, we were among the first people in and the ground was covered in sticky messes from the previous day. The tables and chairs available were also sticky and gross. I tried to look past it and covered our table with an extra towel before laying our stuff down, but it was pretty disgusting. Our next stop were the slides by the wave pool. It was really frustrating that I had to remove my child's life preserver and shoes in order for him to slide. We wear shoes in water parks to try and keep our distance from the nasties that others bring in, even at Schlitterbahn you're able to keep your shoes on so I think it's ridiculous that Hawaiian Falls makes you remove your shoes to slide. It's very inconvenient AND it negates the purpose of wearing the shoes in the first place. After the slides, we went towards the lazy river. This was very disappointing for me, as I love lazy rivers. A little backstory here, if you're in a lazy river with a couple preschool aged kids, you're generally not lounging in a tube, lazily floating down the river. You get in the river for the movement and novelty, rather than the relaxation. That was impossible in this river, it was incredibly shallow! I'm 5'2" (so, SHORT) and the water, which looked to be at its normal level, hit somewhere between my mid thigh & hips. Pointless, in other words, unless you're around 3' tall. One of the biggest disappointments while we were there was the lack of waves in the wave pool. We were there over 2 hours and they never once turned the waves on. That was exceptionally lame, especially after the lazy river experience. The icing on this terrible cake came several days later, in the form of a nasty gastrointestinal virus. Myself, my 5 year old and 4 year old were affected. I, personally, go to great lengths to avoid GI infections and had not had one in over 10 years. Neither of my children had ever experienced a GI infection, being 4 and 5, I feel that's a stellar track record. I believe Hawaiian Falls was the source of that infection, and it's for that reason that we will never visit the park again. I hope for other's safety and enjoyment this park can make some necessary improvements. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This the worst public pool I've been to, the purchase price of day pass tickets is theft. Not one time that I've this season, at least once per week, has the park been staffed well enough to have every attraction open to customers, not like there are that many slides/attractions to begin with, but one week it's the comp pool and even when it's staffed the kids can't go past the rope to play on the ostacle course. This past week it was the lazy river closed, the week before it was the smaller double slide. The parh has not been fully open all season and guests are still paying full price for entry.This past week during my visit there was an empty chip bag in the wave pool which I grabbed and gave it to the lifeguard who then laid it down and it ended up right back in the pool. My granddaughter has used her goggles and snorkel on every visit all season, in fact my bag is checked upon entry every visit, and not once were we told park rules prohibited the snorkel, until this week. But they don't say a word to the adults and bigger boys throwing a football in the wave pool, hitting people that are trying to enjoy what they've paid good money to do. Not to mention the pool is filthy, trash and bugs floating in the water to include roaches, yes roaches. I've complained to management regarding all of the above and the response is, we can't keep enough staff, we're trying, but, this entire season has not shown any improvement, in fact quite the opposite. The guests on any given day may have use of half the park but are charged for use of the full park, which is over priced. It's not Schlitterbahn. read more

BEWARE!!!! My family and I went to this park. The water looked merky. The slides you slide on will cut your elbows. My daughter and myself became ill the following day. I am 35 , never smoked , eat right, work out ect. In other words I am healthy and have never been hospitalized. However , after my visit here my daughter and I both got a bacterial infection. She got well with several rounds of antibiotics, I ended up being hospitalized for 3 days. The park was not concerned at ALL. They could only say our water is OK. My Dr had told me about another case of someone being ill from same park at same time. However the park was adimint no one else had complained and I know they had. Just be cautious. We came for our son's birthday today. They played for 1 hour and then there was a thunder storm. They closed the park for TWO HOURS and refused to give us a rain voucher for the $85 we spent getting in. We spent two hours waiting for them to close the water park so we could get the voucher but their policy is that they don't give vouchers after 4pm. So the park was closed from 1-3 and they are holding out until 4 to close it so that no one gets a refund. Take your money to a different park. read more

Overall the water park is ok one area that definitely needs fixing is the food concessions. I have a season pass so I have been to the water park many times during the summer and on different days. One area that is broken is your food. They have zero training, zero management support, zero managers around to help them, zero customer service skills and zero organization. You all need to get your fact together. 30 minutes to place an order, stand in a second line repeat what you paid for and wait another 30 minutes. Yes an hour for one hotdog. Everyone always complains but nothing is ever done. Does on deaths hears. One lady asked for a manager and when he came to the window he gave her attitude with no apology. This place is gross. Go to Katy /Austin -Typhoon Texas for the same price. we unfortunately bought season passes before seeing the park as we thought it was going to be nice. The "complimentary life vests" were all old, faded, ripped and literally falling apart. Completely unsafe and looked like they were years old and needed to be replaced. Then It thundered for 20 mins and they did not call anyone out of the pool, even though I took my children out. We were told we got 20% off for food in the park but that is only at the one burger place but not the Mexican food that is advertised all over the place that is literally right next to the other food. They had cheaper prices on their website and would not honor the internet price, saying they had just updated their prices the day before and the website was out of date. The pool was dirty and had leaves and floating trash bits in it. I tried to talk to the manager and she said there were no more life vests and they weren't buying more. The family bathroom smelled like urine and had mud all over the floor. Lots of employees standing around doing nothing with trash all over the place that needed to be picked up. At least 6 of the slides were not working and had yellow construction tape on it. Lifeguards did not control the rowdy kids that were jumping out of line in the slide queue and not passing the floats to the next person, causing the line to not move for a really long time. poorly managed. The park just opened in May, but they have a Great wave pool, and a few good slides. the pricing is really great for what you get...it is only an hour outside of Round rock. We went there recently and two of their majors pool where closed: wave pool and pineapple express slide. What a disappointment! Some of the stairs on the way to the top of slides were too slippery especially for kids running around with wet feet. Some of the paint were already peeling, knowing this place only open since last year, that is a very poor job. I was playing in a kiddy pool with some friends' kids, I have to hold and push to aside couple kids from drowning. Those lifeguards weren't doing a great job. I've been to another Hawaiian Falls location in D/FW Area, this one is below average. read more
