The bridge spans 475-feet, and at one point, was considered the longest single-span suspension bridge west of the Mississippi. The Waco Suspension Bridge is majestic, yet aesthetically pleasing. It now serves as a pedestrian crossing. When you walk out on the bridge, it is peaceful, quiet and serene. Listening to the water meander under the bridge almost puts you in a trance. In addition to the bridge, the steers in the front of the bridge are being renovating...painted and sealed with hot wax.

The putt putt could have used a bit of shade on the yellow course, but it was nice that there were 3 courses. Too bad everyone wanted to play the shady course, so we all had to wait for big parties to finish between holes. This park could use some updating but it's great for small children.

The walking path is made of concrete and there isn't any large trees. My wife had been there before and said that the creek or ditch appeared filled in. There was some seating that was covered and I noticed quite a few BBQ pits as well. I liked the quantity of picnic tables. It is a good track but not much to see so I enjoyed talking w my wife. Unlike other parks this trail had little to no incline and was easy to walk since it was concrete. That is helpful since I am still recovering from surgery. I would recommend this walking path for people who are perhaps a bit unsteady on their feet like me w surgery or other reasons possibly. The only complaint I might have is the lack of larger trees and that means during summer it would be wise if me to go in earlier or later hours. All in all good park. They have portable potties not permanent ones if that makes a difference to ya!!!

It is a bit off and out of the way from the rest of the park. So it wasn't that crowded on a Friday summer night as perhaps other parts of the Cameron system might be on that day. There are some insane frisbee golf holes in the park again can see pics. There were some children playing in the water of the spring. There were at least four cement benches that were comfy. I used one while waiting for my wife as I really couldn't get up some of those very steep hills. It was a great pocket park and a nice place for a picnic. There are a few out of the way plCes to go there for a more private picnic. Great little place.

It is separate from the neighboring "Speegleville Park" that has RV campsites. The park is on the west site of Lake Waco and is easily accessible with an unmanned guard station. There are "pay stations" throughout the park where you're expected to pay $5 per vehicle. The park is "day use only" and does not allow overnight parking or camping. There is a boat ramp. More than 50 covered picnic sites, most with charcoal BBQ grills, are in the park. These are available first-come, first-served and I had no problem with the one we would use today at 8:00am. I spotted a playground in one area. There are also restroom facilities throughout which are helpful though primitive. The park is clean from trash and in good condition.
