He tried to leave two people out in the river past where we were getting off because they could not stop. Threatened to TOW my car because I got upset he was going to leave us out there to "figure it out" ourselves. He WILL leave you out there and does NOT care about your safety. I had to hop in his van and say okay if you're leaving them I'm coming with you so I know you don't tow my car. Then told us that we are going to hell for cursing. He is super unprofessional, rude and does not deserve innocent people's money. He didn't know how to help in the situation. He made my friend Go back down the side of The bridge to go get the tube she had abandon because she couldn't get out earlier. If you aren't physically advanced or capable of much don't take his river float because you won't be able to get out. He'd have left us all if we didn't have his dang tubes. Do not waste your time because he won't explain where to get out. And he will threaten you then talk about how godly he is. Pathetic.

This isn't the fault of the company, but the river was so disgusting that I was not comfortable getting off the paddleboard or my daughter playing in the water. Just a lot of trash.

So my wife, daughter and I tried our hand at it. We had the most fun ever. It was special because it was my wife's was birthday. This was something she always wanted to try and I for one was glad that we all did. Ms. Theresa, was the person in charge of the rental place. Mr. Patrick who was a volunteer at the TCPaddlesports was really helpful as well. The only set back for me is that they have no changing rooms the portable potty is dirty and they have to put up the toilet paper so it won't be stolen. Since this is a nonprofit rental place the have no changing rooms. My advice is if you get there before they open and you need to use rest room. Make sure you have personal hand sanitizer and toilet paper. The price for an hour outing was $60.00. Ms. Theresa was truly awesome and very welcoming. Thank you Ms. Theresa, you made it fun.

We found Discover Kayak and Steve through a search in our local area for basic kayak instruction…read morefor our Girl Scouts to accomplish their paddling badge. First, working with Steve was so easy and relaxed! As you can imagine, coordinating a kayak trip with Texas weather and multiple involved Girl Scouts posed a bit of a logistical nightmare but Steve was understanding all along the way! He was understanding when we dropped a few girls and added one back on and when weather canceled us the first few times he was very clear and quick with the communication. Second, Steve was incredibly informative and patient with our Girl Scouts. This was a group of girls ages 11-15 but most of our group fell into the 11-12 year old range. He kept the girls on task and made sure they were watching at the important parts without coming across as too tough. The girls LOVED the experience and I highly recommend Steve and Discover Kayak to Girl Scouts and new kayakers alike. Thanks again Steve!
