We had a fun visit to the LDiscovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth inside Grapevine Mills with a toddler. She loved the DUPLO toddler play area, enjoyed the 4D movie, and had a blast on the train ride. Unfortunately, she wasn't tall enough for several of the other attractions, but that just gives us a reason to come back when she's a little older. The attraction has plenty of hands-on building activities, colorful displays, and a well-stocked LEGO store. The kid-friendly concessions were reasonably priced, making it easy to grab a snack without breaking the bank. The play areas were relatively clean, although I didn't notice staff cleaning during our visit. Overall, it's a great indoor outing for young LEGO fans, especially on a hot Texas day. read more

The facility is old and run down. The permanent exhibits have not been upgraded or improved in many years. We visited on July 7, and the shooting ride was closed for maintenance. When if finally opened, most of the guns did not work. The little car ride only had 3 cars working. The display with Dirk Nowinski (really) and AT & t stadium had NOTHING in it about FIFA. Most of the buttons to light up displays did not work either. The race car shoot broke while we were there, I reported it, but no one came to repair it. The staff were friendly, and there was no shortage of team members, and the gift shop was neat and tidy. I feel like management needs to take a hard look at the rides and activities if they want it to be more than just a lego building place. There were PLENTY of Lego Displays for the kids to enjoy, and the restrooms were pretty well kept. We brought our 3 year old son to Legoland while visiting family in Dallas. Although this legoland is small, there are still a bunch of fun activities and rides to enjoy. It kept our little one busy for hours. We came in last Monday in the afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. We were a little bummed that one of the rides (the blaster one) was broken down. Our son did have a lot of fun on Merlin's apprentice and watched his first short movie at their 4D cinema. He especially loved building a car out of legos and raced his car on the track several times. He even enjoyed walking through miniland to see all cool the Lego creations. There is a small cafe located inside but we didn't get a chance to try it out since they were closing. There's also slides and a climbing area where our son was able to burn off a lot of energy. Prices are OK at the front but it's best if you can find a Groupon deal. Our son absolutely loved this place! We will definitely be back the next time we're in Dallas. read more

We came here in last day in Dallas. Sam's Club app had discounted tickets so able to get pretty good deal for us. Outdoor water park closed due to extreme heat warning. However all rides open inside and was able to enjoy all. We really liked the 4D movie as well as the flying pedaling ride which we rode twice. Weekday is nice and less crazy with only a couple of summer camp groups. Cafe had nice selection of food and drinks at reasonable price. Parking was great at opening so get there early. read more

Honestly, i'm kind of surprised that this is not a four star place we were able to find a lot of fun things to do here. The rides are definitely made for very small kids so probably seven or eight years old tops. However, the adults are able to ride the one that goes in the air, and also the one that goes in a circle where you're supposed to blast things. I will say though, out of the two cars that were running the car that we had, which I believe was number 5, half of the blaster guns did not work at all and didn't register our score. Restaurant so we only grabbed a drink from this restaurant.But the prices didn't seem too crazy.Honestly, it's there more for convenience you could go outside the mall and find a plenty of other options. Movie so we did do the four d movie.Which really was more of a three d one and it was enjoyable but I would say it seemed like it was a bit long, and didn't feel like the features necessarily were consistently working. Not sure why there are so many low ratings ... this place is great! The employees are all super friendly and we had nothing short of an amazing experience here for our son's birthday party. I will say it is a little on the pricey side but all the rides and 4D show are included. Our party host, Melanie, was so sweet and attentive. Everyone who attended our party had a wonderful time. It's a great place for younger kids, around the age of 5. I could see it being boring for older kids but I don't think it's really build to cater to older kids. There's plenty of things to do and overall the location is pretty clean. I would 100% have his birthday party here again. Worth every penny for the experience we had. read more

Had a horrible experience Legoland it was very overly crowded. Which I didn't understand what was the point of reservation time if it crowded. This small but quaint version of LegoLand is well designed. It's mainly for kids 8 and younger, and that's my only complaint. The few rides they have are fun for the younger kids, and they have some good kid areas, but again, for younger kids. It's hard when you have kids that are a mix of ages. We bought tickets online to include Sea Life next door. If you're from out of town and looking for something fun to do.. I find the experience worth it for the kids and adults. We spent 3 hours total between the two. Obviously, you can spend all day building legos. lol. Just in case anyone else, is unaware as I was.. once you are inside the LEGO Discovery, the kids can go on all the rides, attractions, except the virtual ride is extra. You can pay in advance or when you arrive. During busy hours, pay in advance to avoid longer waiting time. It's $7 excluding the tax. They sanitize the seats and VR googles! One feedback I would give to this business is WHY isn't there anyone to take a phone call. I found promo tickets online for BOGO deal only for general tickets. What does that mean? I bought Lego discovery + SeaLife tickets (combo) and the general ticket was BOGO. What's the difference? So confusing and no one to ask.. I barely got a response by email as well. I almost didn't come based on some of the poor reviews. Glad I experienced it myself. It's worth it! Park next to the AMC entrance. Too bad the water part of the Lego discovery was closed. I wanted to give an update from our last review. First off I want to give a shout out to Thad, who always is awesome to us any time that we go. My kiddo got to be on a Creative Crew a number of years ago and has learned a lot from Thad. At this location ... a kingdom quest ride that is a save the princess point and shoot ride, a merlin ride where you are pedaling a cart into the air, and the Jeeps that your kiddo can drive around a track. As well as a mini land that shows areas of the DFW area, 4d movie, and various build and a number of interactive areas. They do have an adult night for those that don't have kiddos to go with during the day. Pricing can be high, so if you can keep an eye out for deals. Recent ones that I've seen have been teacher deals, Scout weeks, as well I've regularly seen kids go free coupons. Recently my kiddo ended up with a day off that landed on their home school week promotion where both of our tickets cost what it would have been for a single ticket if you go during a week day. So if your able to go on a weekday, maybe take off work and school a little early if your local, and have a fun afternoon that would be a great time to miss crowds and take advantage of a deal. Though they may have a school group but we noticed around lunch the school group headed out to go eat at the food court and go to the aquarium after lunch, so afternoons might be your best bet to skip crowds. read more

My wife and I took our grandson to the Legoland Discovery Center (LDC) and Sea Life Aquarium (SLA) at the Grapevine Mills Mall (GMM). Prior to our trip, we tried to buy discount tickets online for both venues because I am a disabled veteran. However, I was not able to find any sort of combination ticket for both venues where I might apply the discount. After scouring websites of both venues, I abandoned the idea and decided instead to just purchase tickets at the venue, assuming they would be administered by the same company, which they were. Upon our arrival at GMM, we inquired about discounted combination tickets. We were politely redirected to the nearby ticketing kiosks where we were promptly greeted by a friendly staff member who graciously assisted us in purchasing discounted tickets for both venues. I was grateful for the help, since I would not have been able to select options in the correct order to accomplish what the helpful staff member did. We opted to enter the SLA first, then ate lunch at the GMM's Food Court, and then entered the LDC. Inside the LDC there are several large Lego builds. There is a life-sized Dirk Nowitzki statue, a couple of large scale Ninjago warriors, a large scale group of Lego Friends girls resembling, surrounding a pink park bench as an interactive photo spot. There is a single room with static displays of large LEGO builds depicting landmarks in/around the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. There are several easily identifiable buildings depicted, which are really neat to look at, but the room is not monitored by staff. Visitors are free to walk through the static display room and there is a single touchscreen with "some" relevant information provided on "some" of the builds. The landscape of the builds appeared to me, to be rather random in its population. Some smaller items within the display just seemed plopped down, with no relationship to adjacent builds; just really random. Also, I don't know if it was because we were the only people in the room at one point, or if it was because the walls were relatively bare, or if it was because the builds and display gave off an "uncared for" vibe, but it just felt like we were in a storage room, or room that time forgot! As noted above, with regard to posting relevant/interesting information about that which is being viewed adjacently, perhaps a placard with bullet points about the buildings and structures depicted in the static display or, even something as simple as small cards placed at the base of built structures, to give visitors a little information about the display/s and to potentially foster or garner greater interest by visitors! Likewise, either there should be venue staff greeting visitors and orienting them to everything residing within the LDC venue or, at least signage or placards posted adjacent to each section or activity within the LDC to orient visitors to LDC offerings. As an example and more specifically, there SHOULD be something posted adjacent to the several Lego creative/building bins in the primary space of the LDC. There should at least be some posted admonishment related to hand washing and the importance of such before and after handling Lego pieces that are being handled by hundreds of kids daily, many right after eating in the adjacent snack bar/party area. The build bins space was loud with yelling kids and the sounds of Lego bricks being sifted and searched. The space seemed quite chaotic, with Lego pieces strewn about and nothing organized or structured. Overall, we collectively felt the LDC venue was overpriced and not at all worth the time and money spent visiting it! For this reason, I do not recommend visiting the LDC until assurances of changes for improvement are advertised. On the other hand, I do recommend a visit to the Sea Life Aquarium/Exhibit. There are some things that could be improved, but overall it is a worthwhile venue to visit. Hopefully, if you're reading this, improvements will have been made and perhaps the LDC will have furthered efforts to make a visit worthwhile! Live well. Be well. Cheers! read more

A Must-Visit for Lego Lovers! We had an amazing time at Legoland! There were so many interactive stations where kids could build, play, and explore it really kept my four and seven-year-old engaged the entire day. There are a few rides that give kids a chance to discover different parts of Legoland in a hands-on way, and they absolutely loved the splash park outside! If you're visiting in the summer, I definitely recommend bringing an extra change of clothes or swimwear so the kids can fully enjoy getting wet. Once you pay the admission fee, everything is included, and the kids can play as long as they want. One of the highlights for me was seeing the incredible work of the Master Builders everywhere you look, you can see the passion, creativity, and talent poured into the attractions. We even got to meet one of the Master Builders, and it was so inspiring to hear how much he loves bringing Lego creations to life in 3D! We visited Legoland thinking we were getting the advertised $19.99 summer ticket deal -- only to find out it was over $30 per ticket at the gate. No explanation, no signage, just a surprise price hike. To make it worse, the entry guy at the front (Scott, if anyone's asking) was impossibly rude. When we politely asked about the price discrepancy, he acted like we were inconveniencing him. Inside wasn't much better. overcrowded and a total mess. The coffee maker was broken -- because of course it was. Save your money. I liked how it was in the beginning of the mall so it didn't tempt the kids we got their activity out the way before shopping so they could be nice and relaxed . The kids loved how many activities they had and how many different tables they had for them to be able create which ever they had on their mind. What I think they liked more than anything was the outdoor water park we went and it was a very hot day and they needed some water activity to cool them off and it was great . Very clean and had staff cleaning throughout the day that I loved to make sure my children had a an amazing time. DISGUSTING. Parents beware of the Ninjago play area. Adults have a seating area and the kids go up and play. I went up with my daughters and was astonished at the status of filth. Pictures tell it all- hair, dust, dirt, gum, grime... it looked like it had not been even surfaced clean, let alone sanitized, in YEARS. I hope they take this seriously. The LEGO play tables had several pieces with teeth marks from where kids had bitten the brick. The rides were fun. The restrooms were surprisingly very clean. This experience has gone considerably downhill. We took our kids yesterday and it was a waste of $160 for the 5 of us. The rides were broken down, the assembly sites were in horrendous shape, and there were portions where the lights weren't even on. The 4D experience was a decent 3D movie, but the 4D component was off-timed and just didn't make it what it could have been. The location was overrun by unsupervised children who were, in some cases, even throwing Legos instead of using them. And no one was doing anything about it. There's a theatre inside as well, along with a few rides that were actually a nice size for this place to be attached to a mall. They serve finger foods and a few snacks inside. I visited on a Saturday, a July weekend with my wife and two kids. Location is over crowded with long lines. The location is not clean. The bathrooms stink and lack touchless urinals, faucets, soap. Also for kids location, the bathroom has no accommodations for kids: no steps to stand on, only one kids size urinal. Also, the legos themselves feel worn out and their cleanliness is questionable. In our 2 hours stay we haven't seen any legos being collected to be cleaned. The location feels understaffed. The rides were fun and very entertaining, wait lines are average. Admission was pricey and on top of that, you gotta pay extra for activity book and for the VR 2min ride. Overall, not the best. There are neater, cleaner, cheaper, and more kids accommodating places in the area. read more

Why have timed entry when you allow unlimited guests along with summer daycare camps? Every line to the show and both rides were 30 minutes or more. For the price you pay you should be able to do all these activities without having to wait in line. We met a few friends at Legoland so the kids can run around and build on their imaginations. We rode the airplane ride, played with Legos, watched the 4D movie (sprayed water and blew air on you), drove the cars, and climbed on play structure. We missed out on the shooting game and the outdoors splash pad since it wasn't open when the doors opened. My youngest kiddo loves Lego discovery center. They have a kingdom quest ride where you ride in a cart and interact with screens with a blaster. A wizard themed ride that you go up and down using bike petals. Be aware with that one kids of a certain height have to have an adult riding with them. They have a 4d movie that shows a few different short movies. There is a jeep ride, which does have size/age requirements. As well there is various play and build areas. There is a splash area that is usually open May-August, but they recently had a plumbing/pipe issue that reduced their ability to use that area. There is also a little cafe inside; but with all the mall offers I would recommend eating outside of the mall & at best getting a Starbucks drink or snack in the cafe if you need one. As with a lot of the places like this I'd recommend coming during a non-peak time. So if you can come on a week day, during a non-break, try that! I would probably recommend coming here with a 4-11 year old. read more

My sibling, along with her 5 year old grandson and I went to this place yesterday(September 27, 2025) for something fun. This is the first time visit Legoland at Grapvine Mills. My family and I arrived late (6:00PM) since the Admission about to close, but I assume the whole place closed at 8:00PM. Fortunately, the staff allowed us to enter since the discovery center still opened. I was looking something fun and active for my great-nephew with autism. The place looked suitable for younger kids like my nephew, but the price is way too high! I paid $90.90! Two adults: $55.98 One child: $27.99. for everything inside the center, except for the virtual ride that is $10. Adults can do is to sit while the children play. I'm underwhelmed, and the Legoland shouldn't be too expensive. At least my great nephew had a great experience. read more

Could not have found a happier little 3 year old running around. We started with the flying ride and he loved it and ended with shooting guns at the spiders which he loved even more. We could have easily just stayed in the first little room with the large legos and the tables with buckets everywhere, he was definitely being challenged trying to find his way without being overwhelmed. We even had the dragons visit for the Chinese new year and got really close up look at that! He was a little too young for the playground area and navigating some of the bigger kids but he did great. Very sad to say that this place did not meet our expectations. Our kids have been begging to come to Legoland for years. We finally drove from Austin to Grapevine ($50+ per ticket, per adult) to celebrate our son's birthday. If your kid(s) are older than 5-6 do not waste your time and money on this place. If your babies are younger, you could def get in a few hours of fun. The place does seem clean, and the employees are nice. Masks are strictly enforced and Starbucks drinks are available for purchase in the little cafe. When you walk in they give each kid a bag of Legos to carry around and use. They must be returned when you exit. I'll chalk my slight disappointment up to my lack of research. I lowkey wish we spent that $100+ on Legos. Honestly, if we paid full price for four tickets we prob would have been a little grumpy on the way home, lol. read more

So first let me say don't let the reviews discourage you. I am a person that will read multiple reviews before going anywhere but, for some reason I paid first before doing that.I was instantly regretting my decision reading the reviews but once we stepped into the place it was actually pretty cool. I'm not really sure what people are expecting but it's just enough for the younger kids to have fun. The rides are part of your admission so my husband and I both went on with the kids and had fun. Kingdom quest was actually pretty fun and you can ride them as much as you would like. There is a little food court for snack is and coffee. I do think it's overpriced for sure but it's a decent size and the kids will have fun. Could the place use some dusting? Absolutely. It would be nice if the hand sanitizers weren't empty since it's a tone of people on and out. It wasn't super busy around noon so that was nice. To sum things up reviews are good but you can't always believe them 100% read more
