Lots of good reviews! Started bad with the customer service, but they guy turned out to be cool, also the rest of the crew were quite friendly! The place is quite cold, I'm not one to complain about temperature, but it did seem quite cold. The floor was not clean, but bot excessively dirty either. Tables and seats were very clean. Place was very lonely, It was just me and a small group in a booth. But I guess that's just the timing. Now, onto the pizza itself. The main attraction! Reviews say that this pizza is one of the best probably in all of California. Now, with all honesty, the pizza tasted rather delicious. I'm not sure it is the best pizza I've ever had, but it is certainly good. I got a pepperoni pizza, I hoped that it had more Pepperoni. Day 2, my wife mentioned to me that indeed it was a very delicious pizza! I might go back from Fresno to get some more one of these days. Okay, so for starters this place is NOT CLEAN. I honestly hate eating at places that look like this because it's grose but I did because we drove quite a bit to get there. From the outside looking in it has great curb appeal but once you enter through the doors it's a whole different ball game. Floor looks like it's never mopped and rarely swept. The arcade is filthy with pizza on the floor & you can tell it's not cared for. I did not want my children running and playing inside there. Yuck! Anyways, The establishment is small and lonely not many people inside. Customers service was ok nothing special. Now for the pizza. Very good pizza not the best I've ever had but good. Nice fluffy crust with a little bit of crisp to it. Made fresh to order. Nice sizes we took home more pizza then we expected too. This place has the best pizza in Corcoran. I tried the other two pizza places and I was not impressed. I'll stick with pirate pizza.

Ordered a large pepperoni with cheese sticks for delivery, pretty simple you would think, did not turn out that way. Almost 2 hours had past called them to find out the status only to receive a poor excuse for the discrepancy. 15 minutes later it finally arrived along with the bill. This place is ridiculous. They made a mistake and delivered our pizza to the wrong address. After two hours, we called. They informed us the driver delivered it. They provided the place they delivered. It was the wrong the place. The manager offered us to replace the pizzas or to have the driver pick them up from the place it was delivered and bring them to us. We explained to Pirate Pizza manager that we are pretty sure that after two hours they ate it, but I am pretty sure there are health codes that do not allow that, also two hours that means the pizza is cold. Pirate pizza sent their driver to retrieve the pizza where they first delivered and the driver told the individuals at the address to keep it because it is free. So, the the manager called us back and asked that we pay for the second batch (mind you the first order was paid already). The audacity of this man. First of all your team made a mistake. We understand mistakes are made, but why ask me to pay for another. This man was very unprofessional he stated that paying for the second batch was the "honorable" thing to do. The honorable thing would be to own up to your mistake and not take the money from the delivery man's paycheck. The delivery man was bummed out that this would be taken from his paycheck. This is his livelihood, we make mistakes and we learn from them. A good leader would reflect and provide the necessary supports to avoid these mistakes. Good customer service will ensure that the customer gets product in a timely manner and if there are mistakes solve them without placing blame on staff and guilting customers to pay for these mistakes. I am pretty sure Laborer's commissioner needs to be informed about the treatment of Pirate Pizzas employees and from my previous experience working in restaurants and Mandatory trainings by California Restaurant Association (serv safe) restaurants are not allowed to put food back after being placed at another patron's table, let alone another place like home or workplace. I think my obsession for this place may stem from the fact that I had to eat at the other pizza place in town growing up because my uncle owned it. I always wondered what was behind the doors of the Pirate Pizza...I could see they had a whole arcade room instead of a handful of games like at my uncle's. This was always my favorite pizza growing up. Unfortunately, they went out of business a couple years ago. But, unexpectedly, it was bought by new owners who took over all the old recipes and brought it back to life! And, I must add, made quite a few improvements, the greatest being, customer service! Great service and such wonderful tasting pizza. I normally don't like thick deep dish crust but Pirate Pizza's crust was phenomenal. The customer service was great. The owner had been welcoming and very helpful with choosing what to get. I suggest the vegetarian. It was very tasty. On Thursday June 2, 2022, I place a phone order that consisted of: a small combination pizza, 2 clam chowder bowls and a 8 piece chicken wings to be delivered to my parents to which my mom has just been released from the hospital. I ask for delivery in hopes when my parents received their food, it would be in proper order and hot. Basically edible. When my father received the food, he noticed the clam chowder had spilled into the bag, the chicken wings and the pizza were both dry. No, the food was not edible. I kindly sent a message through messenger to the owner in which I just confirmed they are one ones that man their messenger page. I let them know what my complaint was about in hopes they would fix their error. Well here we are a week later and I still have not received a refund or anything. When they did respond to my complaint (2 days later), they said they do not check their messenger often and they will look into my complaint. I ask them what information do they need from me and the only thing they said they needed was my phone number I used when I placed my order and they apologize for the service. Here we are today June 10th and I still have not heard anything from them. I did send them another message through messenger following up on my complaint (2 days ago) I still have not heard from them. When I placed my order for my elderly parents, I really didn't think I would be very unsatisfied with Pirate Pizza! They have definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Expensive food and bad service does not go hand and hand and to be ignored (that's how I feel) by the owners is another strike. So yes, I will rate them 1 star and if I could, I would have rated them 1/2 a star. read more

The environment was... hmmm... It felt like sitting in the backroom of a southern truck stop in mid-August weather. Small town fever? I like small businesses, and in this small town, that's exactly the feeling this restaurant gave me. I really enjoyed receiving service from a kind young man. It gave me a good impression of the restaurant. But good things don't always last. Behind the good worker/s was a terrible owner. That night, I was meeting with some friends. They were quite loyal customers to this man, and bought pizza from him every week while doing Karaoke. On this evening they brought drinks of their own (Water, etc). Now, I understand reasonably if there is a rule against outside beverages. That's fine. But the Irate, mouth frothing scream-fest I witnessed from the owner really turned me off from Pirates pizza for good. I remember thinking, "Did he REALLLY just do that to his customers? Is this really such a small town, that you can be this shitty to people? Business Etiquette?" I stayed a bit for the sake of my friends, and even bought some pizza for the sake of the workers who will suffer when this man's business fails, but I don't think I will be coming back. You have to treat your customers well. It will reflect in your business. I would also like to add, that after writing this review, I received a call from the owner's wife and daughter. His daughter was yelling at me that I don't even know what I am saying and how awesome her dad's restaurant is and how, "You don't even know." When she couldn't get her jollies out of me, she handed the phone to her mother who cussed me out and explained how I am a ****** ***bag. I'm not sure exactly how they got my number. Not impressed at all. First off I was really in the mood for a salad and some pizza, so we give this place a ring and apparently they don't have the stuff to make the salads. Ok, no big deal, we'll just get the pizza. So we order pepperoni and ranch. They told us it would be about 45 min for delivery, and they we there within 30 min so that was nice. But that and the delicious homemade ranch were honestly the only two good things about this place. The pizza dough was under cooked, the pepperoni was way to greasy and the cheese had a really odd taste to it. Won't be ordering from there again. read more

I have loved Pirate Pizza for years. When my husband and I used to live in Corcoran we would regularly order pizza. The other pizza places in town didn't even come close. When we moved to Hanford, we were excited to have more choices available to us but after a few years we look forward to going back to Corcoran's Pirate pizza. My only complaint is that they no longer make my favorite thing on the menu which was the calzone. Their calzone was the best I have ever had. First of all if you are going to own and run a business teach your kids that you have working for you to be respectful and polite to paying customers. Especially when a pizza costs over 20 dollars and you have to wait an hour for delivery. (This is if you are lucky enough for them to be delivering on that day). Every time I have called to place an order it seems as though I'm annoying to them. I guess business is so lucrative they can afford to lose customers. Not to mention the men's bathroom is haunted. Pizza of my childhood. Very glad it's still around. These people gave my husband a job when we were starting out our little family, & offered moral support when he lost his brother in the war. We still patronize this place every few weeks. They are very nice & accommodating too. We ordered a family meal deal (which is a buccaneer one topping pizza, an order of hot wings, & a 2 liter of soda for $30) on a couple of occasions where they ran out of buccaneer dough, & they offered a replacement of 2 large pizzas. I love the food at Pirate Pizza. The pizza is yummy, made with quality ingredients, and has a really good crust. If you're a ranch person, Pirate Pizza has a swimming pool size bowl of the good ranch. If your not feeling pizza or want something in addition to pizza, get an order of fried chicken and potato wedges. We usually get a large half pepperoni & jalapeño, and half Hawaiian, 8pc fried chicken & wedges, and a bowl of ranch. It's enough to feed 4 people, and have left overs for everyone to eat again. Don't expect Lil Caesar or Pizza Hut prices, this isn't a chain and the ingredients are not poor quality. I can't take stars away, but I really wished the owner would step up his wing game. I would love it if they created their own custom wings and not premade soggy wings (a curse of all places with premade/frozen wings). In college (CSUB) we would go to Rustys Pizza in Bakersfield (not the one by the mall) and order a small pizza and 25 or 50 wings to share. I would love for Pirate Pizza to have nice crispy fried wings dripping in either Franks hot wing sauce or their own custom made flavors. I would gladly take the owner to Rustys for dinner so he can try how wings should be and copy them. Until Pirate steps up their wing game, I have to settle for their fried chicken that I cover in franks hot wing sauce and dip it in their perfect ranch. The pizza was good for the area. We ordered the deal with wings and soda. They brought the Less than mediocre wings and when I went to ask for ranch they said it was 75 cents. I just paid over thirty dollars and only had a card. I offered my card for payment then they said there was a $5 minimum and then pointed towards the atm. I am not paying an atm fee for a little cup of ranch sauce. I asked for a manager and was told he wasnt there. Th he pizza is good but as the other reviews stated. It's cold, dingy outdated and the restroom for opens up to the dining tables, literally at the tables. I hope you don't have to go while your there cause you will have an audience.
