The cheese was melted nicely and I know they say you should get "two Pattie's" with a smash burger, I really didn't need it , it was a decent size burger. Fries were no good. Seasoned, yet tasted like nothing. Pass on the fries. Plus the combo doesn't come with a drink. I'd just opt out of the fries and see if I could get a drink instead. Cost came to $10.99 for a single combo and $12.99 for a double. They do have a jalapeño Smash burger for $13.99 but first time here so went basic. Pizza was "ok". First bite reminded me of Domino's to be honest. Flavor, cheese, texture. It was very reminiscent, even the crust tasted pretty spot on. But as I kept eating, I can tell the flavors started to taste like their own. The crust had a chew but a nice airiness in the center. The sauce was just ok, the pepperonis were good. It's the kind of pizza I'd enjoy if someone brought it home I'd grab a slice or two, but again, not something I'd drive to Tulare for to be honest. My Dad had the first hand experience of the customer service and said everyone here was super nice and friendly, very attentive which is a plus. The food held up coming to Visalia which was also a plus. If I was in town and was craving one of these items, I'd consider stopping and sitting inside to try it one more time.

You-Be's U-Bake Pizza is one of those businesses and has been operating in its same small location since the mid-1980s. These are great for planning ahead for a get together at half of the price of delivery. There were several of these you-bake-it pizza shops in town, but You-Be's was the first and it is still going strong. Sandwiches and salads are also available for order. The salads are massive and can easily feed 2 or eaters. We ordered their large combination pizza which came out to $13.99. You cannot go wrong with their combination. My only critique is that the interior of the shop is a bit run down and looks the same as it did in 1985. Perhaps, it is how they keep their costs down. My crust puffed up huge when it's normally a thin crust which means they probably put the wrong size. I ordered my pizza online 2 hours before I picked it up and they had no idea how to make it. Every single person out of 5 people working had to read the menu board in front of them as they made each pizza and scrambled around each other making pizzas out of order on top of a really gross cutting board. I used to love papa Murphy's, but will not be a returning customer unfortunately.
