We stopped by Piper's today and it was lovely! It was nice to sit outside with our kids and enjoy the fun ice creams and toppings. The staffer was very friendly and patient as we explored the large menu and our ice creams came out quickly. Both kids got a cup with chocolate and vanilla swirl and sprinkles and M&Ms. My son said it was some of the best ice cream he's had and he wants to come back soon. I got a kinder cone vanilla with wild cherry flavoring - I loved it and I thought it was the perfect size for a little treat without it being too much sugar.

Well this is embarrassing. I forgot to take pictures of our Ultimate PB Sundae & Hot-fudge Sundae before devouring them. Service is nice. The ambiance is outdoors. Depending on your knees of the area, it could get confusing without GPS. There's one-way streets with limited parking along the front or you can park around back. Apologies for lack of yummy pictures to look at, but here's the website to order online if you like. https://www.pipersicecreambar.com/menu-and-ordering

This place is small and located next to a Mexican restaurant. You walk up and give your order. Not a sit inside place. I think there was one table outside but I'm sure most just walk up, order and then leave. They have a ton of flavors. You can mix any ice cream with chocolate or vanilla. They special make that for an extra .50. With the way the ice cream tasted. It is well worth the extra .50. I got 4 different ice creams and only spent a little over $20. That's great compared to lots of other places. The toppings set it off on the sundaes. You can get as many toppings as you want on your sundae. It comes with the price. There are also a lot of topping options. I got strawberry crunch topping, with caramel sauce and graham cracker crumbles and whipped cream. So good and so worth coming off of my diet. My son said it was the best cotton candy ice cream he's had. All of the ice cream was full of so much flavor. We all enjoyed and devoured it. I can't wait to try this place again when I am back in town.

I came here all the way from Michigan. I just so happened to be taking a quick trip to Cincinnati when I ended up in Covington, Ky. To try this place out because I have ice cream and it was near the bridge. The service was great the person at the register was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. The ice cream itself was okay my waffle bowl was little brunt but I still enjoyed the taste. The crumbled cookie dough was my highlight and my favorite. I wasn't expecting this to be an outdoor ice cream place but I'm like hey it's different, it was still nice. If I am in the area I will come back. Check them out if ever in the Covington area.

Delicious local ice cream spot! Staff was very friendly and there was plenty of seating. Cute place!

Ice cream tasted just like dairy version and wasn't too sweet with lots of customisable features. They offer small cones for kids and even pup cups at an affordable price. There was a small shaded area to sit next to the store with free water. Ice cream came out fairly quick despite the line and number of items.

If THE Yelper Tyler M. suggests you visit Piper's Cafe when you're in town, you better darn well visit Piper's Cafe when you're in town! I ordered breakfast online on a Sunday morning, just before hitting the road back to Columbus. It was quick, easy, and incredibly affordable for the amount of food you get. I went with a breakfast sandwich, which was pretty much a build-your-own style. I got mine with white cheddar, vegetarian sausage, and a fried egg on a croissant. I also ordered a side of fries with salt and pepper. When I ordered the fries I was surprised with a plethora of seasoning options. I went the classic route but could see myself coming here often and mixing it up. The pick up process was contactless and a breeze. My name was called at the counter and it was placed at the window. Orders were called one at a time so there was no risk of coming within six feet of a stranger. I got home to find a huge sandwich and a rather large portion of stringy fries with a yummy homemade ketchup. I honestly couldn't even finish it all and seriously can't believe it was under ten bucks. What a great local joint to have in the neighborhood.

The inside of the shop is interesting, with knickknacks and things to look at in every corner- kids would love it for this reason! I immediately noticed that there were no prices on the menu... there were cups displayed on the counter with small/medium/large pricing but it wasn't clear what these cups were for- it looked like shakes. It was very off-putting for me to not know the prices of what I'm ordering, especially with more specialty items like cookie dough or coffee/ice cream creations where I can't predict a standard price. Second, there was only one dairy-free option... a cookies and cream ice cream. While it was tasty, it was my only option and that never feels great to order something because you have to. It also didn't have a description or any info available so I was left wondering what made it nondairy... almond? Coconut? Oil? Of course at a creamy whip type place I'm not going to expect the entire menu to accommodate me, but it's nice when there are at least a couple other options- especially with coffee, it would be easy to have a nondairy milk available or a sorbet/dole whip since they already carry many flavors. I tried a tiny bite of my husband's edible cookie dough and it was delicious! Seemed really sweet though- he could barely finish his side by side because it was so sugary--a good problem to have :)) I think I would go back if I had friends with me or happened to be in the area for Blink or the pool or something, but otherwise I would probably choose somewhere else where I have more options s and I know what I'm going to spend.

It doesn't compete with the other Cincinnati family brand in my opinion, but the diversity of the menu keeps me coming back. I got a pineapple mint ice cream soda, which was surprisingly refreshing and a really good balance of fruity and creamy. My husband got a sundae, which we felt was a little small compared to some of the other menu items - our friends got malts and had a whole other cup of malt available in the stainless steel cup that came on the side.
