While living less than a block away, I am subjected to the overflow of patrons using the parking that my husband and I have used for over 12 years. When an event happens at this establishment there is just not enough parking for the patrons, there fore the patrons use the business parking from the nearby businesses on the same block. When we have called to ask that the patrons move a vehicle, the bartenders laugh and tell us to get used to it. Parking is so bad that if there were to be an emergency on the block surrounding the establishment, emergency vehicles would not be able to enter to help the person in need of help. read more

Our 1st time was with a group of 10, at 8pm on a Monday. It was very busy, but the staff was outstanding! Drinks for all in minutes, then another large group arrived & the waitress was amazing juggling both groups without missing a beat! All our food was different & great. I haven't tried many things from their food menu, but their spinach-artichoke is to die for! Comes with several options for dipping, carrots, celery, tortilla chips, and best of all... Pita bread slices!! Their beer prices are great, especially during happy hour. The decor can keep your eyes busy for a while with cool old olympia brewery memorabilia. I haven't been they for a show yet but I know I will be back enough to see one someday. Seriously, spinach-artichoke dip! It's amazing Update: they no longer have spinach artichoke dip. The menu now is all around disappointing. Never order the pretzel with beer cheese! It's awful! The cheese is this awful come that looks like baby poop and is congealed on top... I loved this place! It has a great Cheers feel. I love the bar area. I was there at lunch and it seemed as though there were a number of locals here. There is a great patio outside and I can't wait to have a beer out there. It was a bit pricy but the portions are huge! This time I had the Oly Club, which was ginormous and delicious. My coworker had the Ruben, which she claims is orgasmic. I will definitely be returning. read more

Stopped in here on the way back south at about 1pm Sunday. The atmosphere is great and the food is better. Had the Pastrami/Ruben on rye. Meat to bread ratio was perfect. Well, I have been here several times to see some of my favorite local reggae bands. It can get crowded, but overall I like the vibe and bartenders. I love the outdoor setting for music. The experience I had last night compelled me to write a review. I do not care being a passive aggressive person, not saying anything to the staff then coming and writing a negative review on Yelp, but I was super tired last night which was probably good for me to just go home anyways. My man and I were ready to see another one of our fave artists, Ethan Tucker. We drove from Central Tacoma. We get there just after 9:00 and there was a line outside. ??? Weird, never encountered that before. The man at the door said they can't let people in until some people leave because they were over capacity. I really had to go to the bathroom - noticed inside was quite empty except for the long line for the bathroom. I asked the man if I could at least use the restroom. He said "Sure, you just have to come right back out. If I find you in there later you might not get a drink." Ok, first of all, Mr., I don't really drink, you can't assume that everyone who comes in there drinks. I would not be crushed if I didn't drink. I wasn't planning to anyways, I wanted food more than anything. Secondly, do you REALLY think I am going to ditch the person I'm with to go inside by myself and just wait until he can get in??? Really???? We left to go get food and use a restroom somewhere else. We chose to try and come back but it was the same thing. A line waiting. Several people actually did leave and we didn't get let in even though we were first in line. Also, it was 10:30 and the cover was $10/person. We chose not to pay $20 to see half a show. We've seen him before and can see him again, in much more pleasant situations. Suggestions to the Pints Barn staff: - If you are booking a show that is projected to have a bigger turnout, you should sell tickets in advance and have a cap based on capacity if that is a big issue. - You should also have some restrictions or guidelines when it comes to large parties (which have happened quite a few times recently and apparently contributed to the issue last night)- that a party over a certain amount of people should put a deposit or with reservation upon understanding they have to order a certain amount on their tab. This is only due to the fact that you guys do have a small capacity. - Only charge the cover for those attending the show. Usually, unless it's super cold or bad weather, the show is outside on the patio. You can do the cover at the door there. Let others enjoy themselves inside if they are coming for another purpose. I'd hate to pay a cover at a place where the music is in a separate area that could be regulated. That way the capacity inside can be regulated differently than the capacity outside. Last night you were solely basing it on the capacity outside where everyone was. Again, the inside bar area was plenty empty except for the bar itself. (Btw we could have easily just watched the top of Ethan from the other side of the fence.) With these options, you can avoid wait and frustration from your patrons. I hope you can find a better way to run these nights and have it run more smoothly. I'm sure we will be back but quite aware of the issue we faced the other night and if it continues, we wouldn't return again until we knew they fixed it. read more

Fun local pub sports bar. Skyler is a very welcoming bar tender. I'm from out of town and felt immediately at home. Great beer selection and amazing sausage from the meat market across the street. Good place. Would have liked a better beer selection. The only dark beer they had on tap was Guiness and not much better for bottle selection. Food was tasty. I got charcuterie and it was fresh. Came with Hummus, which I thought was an odd choice, bread and "pickled items" but no pickles. Staff was fairly attentive and place was quiet. read more

One could say this is part of local chain of Pint's restaurants in the Olympia Area, but each has its own menu and feel, so they almost do not seem related. This one is quite small compared to the others, but does have a nice outside area when it is nice out. Menu offers quite a bit of choices. Usually when I have been here it has been for the local Pint's Running group and the place is packed. This time was for an early happy hour. There were some beer specials, but no wine special for happy hour, which is interesting. Wells were also on special. For food you order from the regular menu and look for the couple items that have the HH by them.... Not too many but we found a couple things. We had the nachos which ended up being very good.... so big and filling that we didn't touch the second item we ordered - a Pita Pizza. Took the pizza home for lunch the next day and it was yummy as well! Overall a good addition to our happy hour list! read more

This is a local neighborhood pub... Nothing more. If you don't live in the hood there is no reason to be there. Nice enough but it's just not a "public" place to be. It's like drinking in the basement of a friend of a friend you never met before. I'm sure they are nice people and all but I don't need to get to know them. I always make sure to hit the Pints Barn up for lunch when I am in the area. They serve sausages from Western meats and I am totally stuck on having one of the said sausages with chili. Super filling and inexpensive. read more

Came across this place after driving around for a bit trying to find somewhere new to eat at. Walked in and was immediately impressed. Its clean, not too loud, amazing music choices playing and very warm atmosphere. Our waiter/bartender, Rob, was very prompt, polite and knowledgeable on what they had to offer. Mixed a mean drink! I stopped into Pints Barn for the first time a few weeks ago around 8pm on a Sunday. There were a fair amount of cars in the parking lot and a handful of people inside, I think probably mostly employees. I went in and looked around, at the tap list and for a place to sit... but everyone was just sort of glare-staring at me like I was an alien walking into their living room, ha! It felt so strange and it finally occurred to me that they might be closed. After wandering around for another few moments without anyone saying anything, I finally asked them if they were closed, to which nearly everyone replied 'Yes!'. Working in the service industry I completely understand the feeling, yet am a bit flabbergasted as to why NO ONE said anything and let me wander around like a dum-dum before I asked myself. I go by Pints Barn on my way home from Valley Athletic Club five nights a week or so, was hoping to make this a frequent stop over :( read more
