I've been to two different Pinstripes locations, both for private parties, and the food and service was great. So I was excited to come here for brunch. The service was still great, but the food wasn't. Three stars is for the service; food would be two stars. I forget our server's name but she was amazing. Brunch is buffet style, and you don't always get the best quality from buffet brunch. It also didn't help that there was a bug crawling on one of the plates and a bug in my friend's mimosa. But I was hungry. BTW, mimosas were fine, but too heavy on the OJ, which always upsets my stomach. As for food, it was blah. Shrimp should be succulent and sweet; these were bland and overcooked. Lox was fine, but I didn't try a bagel. Pizza, which I normally love here, was just OK and need to be cooked a bit longer. Bacon was good, but home fries were basic, and so was the waffle, though I appreciate the fun toppings. Honestly, I think my favorite options were the chicken fingers and fries from the kids station. Both were crisp and flavorful. Pinstripes does a great job with large groups and they have a fun atmosphere with fantastic service, but the brunch is not worth it. read more

Brunch yay!!!!! I must admit I was very skeptical to attend brunch at a bowling alley, but boy was I wrong. The selection was amazing Steamed Shrimp, Meatballs, Carving Station with Prime Rib and Ham, omelette station, waffle station, Bloody Mary bar with Tito's Vodka, chasers and garnishes, salads, steamed veggies, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs plus a dessert bar. I could go on and on. Brunch is $30 but $36 including unlimited mimosas. Our server was amazing, she melts our table clear and our glasses full. I use to love this place. The service is just going down hill. I looked for a server for over 30 min after finishing my meal and was forced to get up and find him. Only to find out the bartender was serving me. That is perfectly fine. However, I understand being a bartender and having to serve. If they are working happy hour at the bar then they should not be serving people at tables in the dining section. That should be a server responsibility. We were not checked on for more than half an hour after our meal. Before the service started we sat there for 10 minutes wondering when we would be greeted. We had places to be after we finished our meal and waited patiently to have him come back to check on us. Then we were finally given a new server to close a check from him. read more

Bowling and booze go great together! This is a very fancy bowling alley with nice lanes and a comfortable seating booth for each lane. I went on a Friday which is when they have 50% off wine bottles so I got a bottle of wine to share with a friend. Prices for bowling were pretty normal too and not as high as I thought they would be for such a fancy place. Didn't get any food but they have a restaurant that looked good that I would go back to try. The people next to us got food and it looked good. The bowling was fun and the wine was wine. read more

Been here three times now and will not be returning. The first time was fine, the second was fine except for the very slow service, and the third time was the absolute worst. We were seated by the bar and not told we had to actually order food at the bar instead of talking to the wait staff. We were given the dinner menu when the brunch was apparently still going on and were not told that brunch started at 2:30 when we ordered at 2. After over an hour, our food finally came out cold and mediocre. It doesn't really help that the wait staff is rude either. Found a rock in my food last night which hurt my back molar when I chomped hard on the rock and the manager really didn't offer anything including sympathy or something to make up for it. I told her I was concerned there may be some damage to my tooth and she just looked at me like a deer in headlights. She was only going to remove the hummus and avocado appetizer and that is all. It's not about the money but rather the lack of effort! I would never return to this restaurant after the way the treated the situation. We reserved a lane to bowl and you get your own server where you can order full bar drinks and food. The drinks were just ok, got the Hendricks Gin drink and while it sounded great it was a lil disappointing in taste (too sweet) and we all ordered a bunch of food to try...highlight was definitely the ahi tuna flatbread, just ridiculously delish...grilled flatbread with just the right crunch, with a sweet sauce then tuna, arugula, avocado soooo yummy!! Pinstripes is a lunch go-to for me.It's definitely a nice sit-down restaurant and you can be in and out in an hour. They have bocce and bowling in the back, too! The prices for bowling are a bit too much in my opinion...$20 a person for 1 hr. Food is good. I've had 2 of their salads, pear & cobb - both excellent. One I got with shrimp and the shrimp were way too salty, but it was still fine. I also had their rosemary chicken pasta which had a ton of flavor... A cool idea of bistro, bowling, and bocce ball. The service was rather slow and the restaurant was not crowded. Took over 15 minutes for a drink from the bar. The food on the plus side looked amazing and tasted awesome there is a nice variety for any taste, filet mignon, salads, pasta, sandwiches, and daily soups. Our server Matt was excellent, very attentive and friendly. Only major downside is if you're looking to bowl make reservations in advance so you don't waste a trip out to Georgetown. My alumni group had our annual Christmas party here and it was the best one yet. The staff took great care of us and made sure that glasses were full and the good cheer was felt by all. The food was great! We had a delicious mixed green salad with goat cheese, chicken parm sandwiches, chicken tenders, and a few other things I didn't get a chance to try (was too busy drinking!). They also had a table full of cookies and brownies for us. Yum! Everything was delicious! Even though there were other groups present, it definitely did not feel crowded. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. I like that there were plenty of coat racks and couches for both all of the people, and all of our stuff. Plus, Pinstripes provides socks to all of the bowlers! Good thing too, because I was wearing pumps that day and I definitely didn't have any. I like this place much better than Lucky Strike. It's cleaner, nicer, a better group of people, and a better atmosphere overall. I'm going to recommend that we reserve this place for our next Christmas party. read more

I came here on a Saturday lunch with my family after visiting my mother's alma mater in Georgetown. It was a beautiful fall day, so we sat outside. I ordered the pear salad, which was a great choice! The Ahi Tuna Salad, according to my mother, had terrible dressing that resembled a sweet and sour sauce. My sister got the marg pizza, which had a weirdly non-sweet pizza sauce. The server was largely nonexistent and gave us all the wrong food and drinks, but we weren't in a rush. Great idea! Met up with 8 friends for bowling and dinner. Both experiences were a blast! These teams are well-defined in meeting customer needs and support. You pay for that with the games...$43 (plus tip requested at the front door, which is never a good idea. It's been shown to depress tips elsewhere) for 2 hours of bowling. Drinks and apps extra. Still, the vibe was upbeat, the shoes were pretty new (yes!) and the lane area is very lounge-like, with a server dropping by regularly. The menu in the restaurant was surprisingly sophisticated. The jambalaya and crab cakes were highlights. Drinks were refreshing too, with a few muddled cocktail choices to mix things up. I'm visiting the area, so I hope the build one in my city. read more

How freaking awesome is this place??!! First off, the entire establishment looks like it was built out of someone's amazing Pinterest page. The decor was totally on point meshing industrial with old-timey, I've really never seen anything like it before! We found this place randomly and I was thinking it was going to be more along the lines of your typical bowling alley place but that was the complete opposite! Unfortunately all the lanes were booked when we got there so we weren't able to bowl, and weren't really feeling a game of bocce. But we did walk back to check out the lanes and seriously, this place is awesome! The entire venue itself is pretty ginormous and I could totally see having a nice party here. The menu was impressive and varied, but not too large. It took me awhile to decide but I ended up getting the chicken and goat cheese pasta and my friend got the veggie burger. We also got the bruschetta for an appetizer and I had some sort of gin fizz drink. Oh first off, the table bread with pesto was delicious and consumed almost immediately lol. My drink was very refreshing and the bruschetta was huuuuuge and so delicious! My pasta was very good as well and the portion was also huge for me so I didn't even eat half of it lol. My friend loved her veggie burger and I tried a bite as well - that was definitely a serious veggie burger! Our server was nice but she was missing throughout much of our meal, only checking in once and it took forever for us to pay the bill because she disappeared. Have had good experiences for the most part. The crispy chicken sandwich is great. I've gotten it multiple times both crispy and grilled and it's always good, it's a nice mix of meat and pickled stuff on top. We had drinks while playing bocce which was really fun. I would give this place 3 and 1/2 stars if I could. I thought this was a pretty good place. My friend booked a lane for her birthday but the lane area sucked. It was right near a poll and we had to walk in another persons lane to get around everyone. The table that could have allowed us to have more room, would not move. Otherwise the drinks were decent. A solid food spot, with bowling, in Georgetown I agree with others that if you're seeking a competitive bowling experience, go elsewhere. The lanes were scrunched and the actual lanes felt slippery and uneven/not flat. I'd also advise against using the lighter balls as they fly so easily into the gutters because of lane slickness. Perhaps I'm biased toward the negative, as I bowled the worst game in my "career." The food, however, was good - I had a salad with salmon (large portions) - not the regular grubby bowling place fare. This is a quaint part of Georgetown so if you wanted to go shopping, grab a snack/dessert, or just walk around, it is nice! read more

We celebrated my last day of work on Georgetown's campus by reserving a lane for bocce. None of us had ever played and figured why not. The game is like curling meets billiards, without the broom thingy and awesome curling pants. Their happy hour is pretty good. I had a Rose & Ginger, port wine with ginger beer, which was simple but tasty. I ordered the fig and prociutto flatbread. For #7 it was a pretty good size, and tasty! A coworker had the sliders. As soon as I bit into one I could tell it had truffle oil, which might be okay for others but I can't stand truffle oil... You can tell the place gets a lot of business for bocce and happy hour. I couldn't see if the bowling lanes were busy or not, but the dining area both upstairs and downstairs were completely empty. Needed some red pepper flakes and Parmesan to beef up the flavor. The bowling! You can reserve the lanes but it has to be at least 24 hours in advance. I recommend doing that. Went to Pinstripes for the first time ever. Sunday brunch is a sacred thing for me and I've heard great things about their Sunday brunch. I was surprised to find that it was a whole buffet of brunch options ! The waffle station served mini waffles with various toppings. Our brunch price also came with bottomless mimosas and our server did a fantastic job of making sure our glasses were always filled to the brim. The buffet was well organized and the fruit was fresh. I have had a lot of experience with Pinstripes, from personal trips, to corporate events, to catering, and Pinstripes is generally quite awesome! I'd say the food is well above average, and the beer selection is usually pretty solid. Bowling at Pinstripes is always fun, as I've had a few team events that have always been a good time. They've also catered events at my building, and again, the food is quite good. You don't often think of a bowling alley/gaming spot when you think of food or drinks, but I think you should consider Pinstripes! They also have a solid happy hour which I've taken advantage of a few times, and there's a nice sized outdoor patio for those few days when DC weather is cooperating. Try the chicken & avocado flatbread, or the prime rib dip (which was to die for!). It is a bit expensive if you go outside of happy hour, and the bowling/bocce is definitely on the expensive side, but it's worth it now and then to have a fun day/evening out! read more

My friends ordered the Belgian waffles and the chicken and waffles entrees, which I had to taste -- the waffles are a perfect fluffy texture and were served fresh and warm. Although Pinstripes offers a very unique experience as a wedding and reception venue, I would not recommend the Georgetown location. The Events staff are severely lacking in terms of customer service and professionalism, and I experienced a severe lack of communication and continuity. My initial salesperson, Doreen, is severely lacking when it comes to attention to detail so much so that she doesn't carefully read emails, or implement requested add-ons/changes to your contract. For example, I had to request that black napkins and black floor length tablecloths be added to my contract at least 3 times. I left 2 voicemail messages which she never returned. The only time she seemed to be able to answer questions was when I scheduled to take off from work to have an in person meeting although I had previously carefully outlined questions in an email. When it was time to execute, the staff nor the kitchen followed the details in my contract. The agreed upon floorplan was not followed, nor the details in my contract. Despite my contract stating black floor length tablecloths and black napkins, the wrong size tablecloths were delivered and the Events staff did not mention anything, and the lead of staging the tables for my dinner to follow thought white napkins would look better. To make matters worse, I specifically asked that certain foods my husband is allergic to not be present in the room; apparently between the kitchen and staff transporting food to the ballroom, strawberries which my husband is allergic to were on the ice sculpture so I had stop the staff from entering the room when I saw the strawberries and explain the issue (of which he was totally unaware). So when we walked in there are two separated counters , the first counter is for bowling and the other counter off to the right in the back is where you go to speak to a hostess to be seated . So we get to the host stand and check in ,by the way we were very late because of parking ,the young Lady was so kind and accommodating she went on ahead and took us despite the extreme lateness . The wonderful hostess whose name we forgot had a boss named Myra that was very rude to the young African American host whose name I forgot for allowing us to be sat despite there being no wait and no one behind us . We were sat and and someone was sent to greet us after about 10 minuted an Asian gentleman , we didn't get a name . We told him this was our first time here and we had to ask several times how things worked , we still didn't get a clear explanation. So the server asked us what we wanted to drink we told him unlimited mimosas and the Bloody Mary unlimited he said ok it's an up-charge for the Bloody Mary . So he departs and we then get up and grab plates at the first station which is the omelette station . I walked over to the omelette station and let me tell you Mr Chef Tyler and his colleague whose name I didn't get where great. They asked how we were enjoying ourselves and and soon as we said this was our first time , they gave us the run down of what they offer. My omelette I had , was loaded with all the fix it your one way , it was tasty nothing but standard . Well the selections where limited on the buffet , they had chicken tenders and fries , a form of home fries that were overly garlicky and salty . The pizza was good , flat bread and different toppings , lots and lots of Italian dishes like a chicken Marsala and goat cheese pasta . They had a waffle stand but ran out of syrup but had other toppings like Nutella and fruit. The food quality wasn't the best , some of the dishes were overly salty or devoid of flavor , the typical toppings for the food where missing like syrup like no salad dressings an cocktail Sauce for the chilled shrimp dish. When we got the bill it was wrong but the server fixed it , just over all I want impressed by he food and the service received . read more

Pretty solid bar in Georgetown. Went for a quick bite and drink before seeing a movie. Can't say I was dissapointed but definitely wasn't blown away. The service was fine, the food was good enough, drinks were good, and the vibe was alright. We didn't get to use the bocce or the bowling parts of the place, but that is fine. The bocce seemed to be overtaken by a corporate event - not that they were actually using the bocce courts, but they were just standing on them which was odd. The food was pretty good. Not impressed with the veggie flatbread, the sandwich was fine but the fries were pretty good, and the BBQ pork sliders were pretty good. The surprise was the coleslaw which was more vinegary than normal coleslaw - I really enjoyed it. I think there are better places in Georgetown that I'll go to before I come back here, but maybe if I'm in a bowling mood I'll try it again. read more

I came here for a networking event with a company and its staff during Happy Hour. The nice thing was that our tables and food were put right by bocce. It made it easy to interchange between playing the game and eating. The only thing was that there wasn't seating if you wanted to sit down, but standing by high tables were optimal for networking. We were served an array of finger food, appetizers, skewers. Caesar salad was also good, and we were offered different flatbreads which were tasty. As you can tell the food wasn't anything super memorable for me, mostly because I was preoccupied. But the staff gave us great service. They checked up every now and then to refill the water as well as the food, so that there were no empty platters. The food was very tasty and fresh. I really enjoyed playing bocce, which made the experience really enjoyable. It was also nice because we were the only people in the bocce room so it was like a private event for our company. I recommend this place if you're coming with a large party. If I were with a smaller group I don't think I would have had as much fun.
