Absolutely wonderful experience! Great retro atmosphere, incredible prices for bowling and food/beer, and lots of non-bowling game options for kids and adults alike. But what I really want to highlight is the service: the place was busy, and there was one person doing food and one person doing literally everything else. Between helping customers, dealing with operational matters, running food to tables, and basically everything else, the guy was clearly stressed out and being torn in a bunch of different directions. Yet he was still incredibly patient, pleasant, and helpful with everyone he dealt with. He even saw my daughter was getting upset about her bowling shoes being too loose and took the time to go find some that would fit her better, without even being asked. This is a truly unique spot and so much fun. The lanes are totally vintage but in excellent working order. Suitland Bowl is located on the side of a very unassuming small strip mall about 45 minutes away from DC via metro (a bus drops right in front of the place) and 25 minutes via car/Uber. It's the perfect way to spend a few hours having affordable fun in a very retro environment. I'd never played Duckpin before and a staff member was so helpful in proactively teaching us all the rules. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and hospitable. The place is clean and well appointed. It also features arcade games, a TouchTunes juke box, and a bar and grill with cheap beer and snacks. I will definitely be back to this spot! Highly recommend for everyone from families with kids to adults wanting something different to do. Would be a great spot for a birthday party, charity event, or fundraiser. This Place is Really great i loved bowling here. The Management, The customer service, and etc. Me and my kids we had fun at this bowling alley no Questions asked. The most part about this great place. Is this amazing outstanding young cook. Man Cooks like he's a chef. His burgers, Fries, up to his steaks are hardly the best food i ever tasted. This place is awesome. I'm not super into bowling, but I had so much fun here! We had two lanes and played three games. Everything was affordable at 12 dollars an hour per person, including shoe rental. This was my first time trying duckpin bowling (as opposed to ten pin) and I really enjoyed it. The owner is super friendly and helped show us how to reset the lanes and keep score (the alley is old-fashioned so nothing's automatic - which really adds to the charm!). I really appreciated how attentive and friendly he was. I didn't catch the name of the woman who was working the grill, but she was so lovely as well. Grilled cheese, chicken tenders, and lemonade were all great. This was such a nice change from your typical night out. Can't wait to go back! read more

Don't be scared of the sketchy looking outside of the building. Once inside this bowling alley takes you back in time. Don't look for a digital score board. Scores are taken by hand but since I can barely add 7+8 without using my calculator we didn't take score. Next time we will keep score so the kids can actually see what they did. We had an amazing day at Suitland Bowl! The team, led by Megan (sp) and Tommy, was fantastic in helping organize a birthday party for a 7-year-old. When we showed up today, they were extremely helpful in ensuring we had enough lanes, tables set up for the kids, and explained the food ordering process. Kids are always a bit of a wildcard, and the Suitland Bowl team rolled with the punches all day and were very patient in explaining how to bowl to the kids. Brian, the food master at this wonderful place, was fantastic as well! I had an incredible steak and cheese, and enjoyed tater tots, mozzarella sticks, fries, and nachos from their menu as well. He was whipping up homemade pizzas in the back for the kids as well, which they all loved to eat! We even played our own game after all of the kids left and enjoyed beers. I can't recommend this place enough, whether it's for a party or just a fun day out of the summer heat/rain. Bowling was such an integral part of my childhood, and Suitland Bowl really brings back all of those fun memories with a caring, knowledgeable team to help guide you. read more

Suitland Bowl is A-OK with me ! I came here this past weekend when my niece and nephews wanted to get out for a while so I did some research around to find some open lanes . I called a few places who had tournaments going on and finally reached out to Suitland Bowl who had open lanes and great pricing. This place is tucked away so if using GPS just know you have enter on the side of the building . We arrived around 2pm and the place was almost empty besides a few fellow guest . Upon entering I was skeptical in my mind about the décor but once I reached the counter I and heard the owners assisting other customers I felt more at ease. The owners greeted us very warmly and explained everything we need to know . I was informed of the price which was 7.00 pp (including shoes) and that price was good for 1 hour . They asked if we had been there before and informed us that they would allow us extra time since it was our first time in order to get into the swing of things. The kids were given a lane number and shoes , and in addition the owners even came over and went over the rules, best techniques to bowl , how to keep score, and that the snack bar is open if we needed anything. I ordered a large pizza and drinks which was about 22 bucks. The reason I took a star is the pizza seemed to take a great amount of time to get done and I was on time restraint . All in All They had a great time! Keep in my mind this duck bowling so its perfect for younger kids to feel comfortable . I was also given a flyer to sign them up for free bowling so I will be sure to take advantage of that ( not often places are honestly giving out free anything ). I did notice a little while before we left more guest started to come and they turned on the music which helped to keep a good pace. We will be back due to the convenience of location and great service . The place is vintage style but I do recommend coming here just to get out for a while on any day of the week . Had a phenomenal time at Suitland Bowl. The alley takes you back in time in all the best ways, and Tommy, the owner, was happy to share the history of the place and the ins and outs of duckpin bowling. Games are super affordable at twelve bucks an hour including shoes. The alley also serves food and the service and prices are unbeatable. Having done some research into Duck Pin bowling, the family was ready to give it a try. We ventured out to Suitland Lanes to put our skills to the test and quickly discovered this isn't as easy as we thought. But the vintage lanes, scoring by hand, and the smaller pins and balls really leveled the playing field for all of us, making for a competitive and enjoyable atmosphere. But the real treat was the awesome hospitality of Chuck who visited with us between frames and Brian, who made the best cheeseburgers and tater tots--with a smile--that we've had in a while. We've found a new family tradition and look forward to sharing this fun experience with our friends and extended family! read more

Posted hours for Sunday are 12-7pm. So I just called at 4:15pm to ask if I could reserve a lane. I was told they don't take reservations. I asked if they had lanes open. He said they're about to close. Confused because posted hours say they close at 7pm, I inquired. He said, "I haven't had nobody in five hours. Bye" WTF? I hope this was just an employee looking to leave work early and not the owner refusing business because it's slow. If they opened at Noon and I called at 4:15pm, dude can't count either because that's not five hours. Either way, they'll eventually go out of business... read more

Tonight we celebrated Family & Friends Fun night at Suitland Bowl "Duck Pin" bowling alley. It was the best time. All the kids were able to bowl even the two year old to much fun to be competitive and take score tonight we all won. The owner and the staff was great. What a fabulous step back in time. The alley's decor looks like it hasn't been updated in decades, and that's part of the charm. It's all duck pin lanes, which is great for kids as the balls are much smaller and lighter than regular bowling. The staff were friendly and helpful. We came with a large group and the owners were responsive via email and phone to help us reserve our lanes a couple of weeks beforehand. You score by hand, there is no electronic scoring. This is very easy and a nice change from the digital world. The snack bar has a decent selection of food and drinks. It's very reasonably priced. The facilities were clean and well maintained. This well-hidden secret off Silver Hill Road was a pleasant surprise to us when family from Idaho showed up with three teen boys looking for something fun to do. Retro to the 70's, the place even has a grill to have some fries and a hot dog or hamburger between games! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and gave us whatever attention we needed to learn this new fun game of duckpin bowling. Wow, what a find! I was looking for a place to host a teenager's birthday party and stumbled upon Suitland Bowl. I saw the great reviews but did not read them carefully, just called and they were so friendly and accomodating on the phone. I reserved lanes and ordered pizza sight unseen. My husband went to chaperone the party, and called me to say that it is an authentic duckpin alley, restored to its original style! The owners bought it less than a year ago and were on site all evening, sharing the unique history of duckpin bowling. Place is great, food was very good, prices really reasonable. We drove half an hour to go duckpin bowling and it was well worth it! It looked a little sketchy when we drove up, but we were SO glad we went in anyway.
