As soon as my date and I started playing we noticed our alley wasn't working properly and that within the first 10 minutes of being the ONLY people in there we were never greeted by a server. We had to leave the bowling area to find someone to help us out, order food, & get water. We decided to continue waiting a while cause we understood the alley not working wasn't their fault. Have given Pinstripes a chance two separate times and both occasions have been extremely disappointed in the quality of the bowling lanes. Outrageously priced for lanes that are slanted, have weird humps causing the ball to slow down drastically, oiled incorrectly, and overall just the worst quality lanes our group has ever come across. I took my family to Pinstripes on Sunday, April 14, 2024, to celebrate my wife's birthday. This was our first time at Pinstripes. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible. After being seated by the host, we sat for 15 minutes, and no wait person ever came by. Three other tables were seated shortly after us, facing the same predicament. Plenty of servers were walking by all the tables, but no one took notice of the four unattended tables. My wife finally had enough of the wait and went to inform the host. The host apologized and assured my wife that he would address the matter immediately. A few minutes later, a waitress finally came to order our drinks. The waitress was unfriendly and projected an attitude like we were an imposition on whatever she was doing. I have worked in the hospitality business for many years in my youth and am knowledgeable about brunch buffet concepts. Since the waitress had a poor server attitude towards us, I wanted to test her to verify my observation. I asked the waitress what a brunch buffet concept was. She responded with the most condescending and patronizing tone possible. It confirmed that she did not understand the Quality of Service (QOS). BTW: During our entire visit there, the waitress visited and checked up on us only twice. When we were ready for the bill, she just walked by our table and threw the leather bill folder on our table. She never bothers to thank our patronage. After finishing our meal, we returned to the front patron arrival desk. I conveyed my observation and feedback to the front desk lady. She swiftly apologized to me and told me she would share the feedback with the manager. The odd part is that the front desk lady never bothered to ask my name or who my server was. This was a red flag for me: The lady did not care and would most likely not do anything about my feedback. We will not be coming back to Pinstripes ever again. Suppose senior staff members and management do not care about QOS for their establishment. In that case, they may not remain in business for very long because there are plenty of other restaurants in Johnson County to choose from. I do not usually take the time to write feedback, but this incident ruined my wife's birthday outing...and that is UNACCEPTABLE. read more

I got some gift cards for my family this past holiday to try a new place, and let me tell you I was disappointed. The food is lackluster, and expensive. I left feeling like I would've been better off just cooking at home, and then coming to play here. The service was also lacking, and took forever we sat for ~15 minutes before our server came over. When I'm paying $20 entrees I expect a bit more I guess. The place looks nice enough but felt tacky. Save your money and just go to top golf. Date night, on a Saturday even, wha?! I wanted to love this place and it started out pretty great, but sadly that was it. We were early for our reservation, so we were advised to head to the bar. Ordered a few cocktails, which were strong and delicious. The bartender was super personable and even ordered us sliders on the house, since it was our first time there. All amazing and if we ended the review here, total 5stars....but, after leaving the bar and finding our lanes, we had a new waiter and new issues. The lanes seem small or maybe it's because we were boxed in with large families on both sides! Doesn't help to have these big leather couches in the way, making moving around a little cumbersome. We never had a waiter visit our lane until we pressed a button asking for assistance. After a ten minute wait, we finally had our drinks delivered. That was the one and only time we seen him in our 2hr blocked time. We pushed the button at the end to receive our check, but after waiting another 15min without any assistance, we left some cash on the table and made our exit. This has a cool concept to it, but fell short upon delivery. Maybe we just caught them at a bad time. Can't say we'd run back anytime soon for a second chance though. read more

A large outdoor seating area makes Pinstripes a perfect spot for socially distanced dining. I was there for brunch and enjoyed the all you can drink mimosas for $15. Choice of orange, Grapefruit or cranberry. Staff are also wearing masks and doing extra cleaning. We had the Italian scramble, American scramble and egg white Florentine with avocado toast. the lanes are so curved it's insane i usually bowl around a 150 average and my ball curved so much i barely got 70. i don't know if it was just the lane i was in but it was really strange. maybe i just suck at bowling. however the service was amazing as well as the ambiance. would recommend if bowling isn't really your thing. read more

Wow! This place was so great to work with. I have to say that the staff went above and beyond to really try to address our issues that we had the few times we were here. We had issues with the wait staff taking our orders at different times, and we had to track our waitress to take the second group's orders the last time. Pinstripes reached out to me to have our group come back, and they did an AMAZING JOB! From Stephanie reaching out to me to Brooke and Gavin working with us, this place really made up for the past time. We have always enjoyed their food offerings here and now I'm glad to say that the service is just as good. Sure, every place has its off days and times could have happened with us before. We had a gift certificate for a free two hours of bowling with shoes that we've been meaning to use since January -- we made the trip out to prarie fire this evening to use it! Upon entering -- the place wasn't very packed - just a handful of tables in the dining area with a few groups bowling. When asked what time our reservation was -- we said we didn't make one. From there the service quickly went down hill. The hostess was very rude and made it seem like absolutely nothing was available. It was 5:45 when we walked in and told that there was an hour available at 645 and then we'd have to move lanes and what a big mess it'd be and blah blah blah. We asked if we had time to eat dinner and that seemed like a stupid question as well to him but low and behold he found a two hour time spot at 745. Dinner for two hours? Sure..... They Thankfully had a happy hour menu on Sunday that lasted until close - with plenty of varieties. We started off with the filet sliders (my absolute favorite) and then decided to share the chicken and avocado Flatbread. Service by Maddie was great. She was very nice and chatty and very personable. Food did take a little bit....had to wait about 10-15 min for the bread with pesto sauce to come out and then about another 15-20 min for the sliders and about another 20-25 for the Flatbread but it was worth the wait. Atmosphere was gorgeous! Plenty of light and gorgeous flower arrangements. Food and dining will get 4.5 stars. Bowling on the other hand....3ish or less stars.. Very very veryyyyy cramped. Lanes were very poorly lit and can I say cramped again?? We don't go bowling often but....man. Imagine sitting on a sofa with a coffee table about 6 inches in front of you and stepping over people every time you want to bowl and that's how it was. This place is seriously awesome. I made reservations to celebrate a birthday, I was not aware that it offered a bistro as well as games. The bistro has a nice appeal and offers bar, dining, and outdoor seating. Since it's summer the windows/walls wear open and you could feel the nice breeze. I highly recommend making reservations because the place was packed. The food was delicious and tasted fresh, due to the freshness level... be prepared to wait. And while you wait, take advantage of happy hour drink specials and appetizers. I ordered calamari and I would assume the marinara is made in house because it did not taste generic. For dinner I ordered chicken Parmesan and although it comes with pasta, the meal felt light. The sauce was great, again I think they make it in house. This portion is definitely enough for leftovers. The waitress brought us a chocolate torte to celebrate my friends birthday, that thing tasted heavenly. So rich and so much chocolate... melt in your mouth good. Once we were full we went to play bocce ball. Since we had our dinner first the courts were open. (You can also order from the full menu while playing games. I think we will be doing this next time. I'm very upset. I frequent this location for years. I have worked next door at the Brass Onion for 6 years. I encourage many to come out to the area and explore the dining options. I often eat at Pinstripes on my break. Tonight I went to order food while the band was playing. I was told the kitchen closed at 8:30. The door says close at 9. If you can't take orders after 830pm then say that on the door. Unfortunately this is the second time this happened to me and last time I sent someone else in to place the order and they took the order. I wanted to love this establishment, but it honestly is not the best. However, the concept of it is cool. "Bowling, Bocce, and Bistro..." who wouldn't like that? When I first got in, I thought, "Wow, this seems like a very cool place." My husband, his friend, and I did not have a wait for a bowling lane thankfully. So we are taking off our shoes and ordering food when I realize the clock (1 hour time limit) had already been started on our game. AND NO ONE TOLD US. We didn't even know we had a time limit because no one explained anything to us. The lady at the front just asked how many were playing and gave us our price. For 3 people to bowl at night on a Saturday, it was $49 (talk about high). Anywho, my husband asked if they could reset our time because that wasn't fair and they did. Bowling was fun. There were maybe 8-10 bowling lanes. No problem here. Food: let's just say, I wouldn't order a thing from here. I asked my server if the sandwiches came with sides, and she said, "yes they come with fries." This isn't listed on the menu so I had to ask. So I ordered the chicken sandwich. When it came out, it had a salad on the plate and no fries. So I asked about the fries, and the server brings them out. Fast forward to getting our checks..the server asked, "and whose ticket do I need to put the fries on?" SHE ACTUALLY TRIED TO CHARGE ME FOR THOSE. I said, "ma'am, you told me that fries come with our meal. I'm not sure why a salad came out, but you said fries would." Then she said, "oh yeah You're right. I did say that. Never mind." Went there for bocce ball and dinner. Love playing bocce ball have done it several times. They were very busy, it was a Thursday night and there was the live band performing outside. They played the bocce ball on the outside chords so we can hear the music. It took a few minutes to get served since they were so busy but once we ordered they were very attentive to us. Twice now I've been, and although it's not my usual hangout. I can see this being a great date option. Friend hang out sure, because you get to move around a bit, throw some things, mostly heavy round objects. Nope not shot put or a viking tournament, a classic game of bowling or bocce. It's a snazzy place, not the smokey bowling alley, lights low so you don't notice the dinge. Pinstripes does have soft lighting, but it lends to an atmosphere of smooth fun. It's a huge building, lot's of group options. Also good for work work related gatherings. Staff are pretty great, I don't ask for much but they are a well above average bunch. Food's been good both times, it's solid good pizza,and great brew on tap. They do have other options but pizza, brew, bowling just feel right. Unlike downtown KC with impossible parking and charges you manage to find something. Pinstripes has a huge FREE parking garage, and valet. Noice! read more

The food, service from getting there to leaving was amazing and the location was clean and very well organized. I met a couple friends for bocce ball and dinner. I made a reservation so we had 2 hours of bocce which was alot of fun, they have the lanes separated for covid precautions. We ordered drinks and some appetizers first. I had the blueberry smash it was delicious, my friend ordered the Italian margarita she said it was also delicious. Starters were tenderloin sliders and procutto and fig Flatbread. Both were very good, the tenderloin was cooked perfectly and tender. The Flatbread was very good as well. For our entrees I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs, my friend ordered the cheeseburger and my other friend had the Italian Jambalaya everything tasted great, food was great quality. I will say because we were off to the side we could not tell if it was really busy but being a Friday night I am sure it was. Our waiter forgot a few items had to ask multiple times for another drink and condiments. But all in all it was a really good time. We had heard great things about the weekend breakfast buffet, so 6 of us made reservation to try it recently. Opinions were mixed, but none of the 6 would give it 5 stars that you would expect for a $40 price tag. Food selection was superior - more options than anyone could expect. Prime rib, ham, smoked salmon, shrimp, bacon, sausage, macaroni & cheese, French fries, fruit, etc etc. The food was, for the most part, delicious. Several of us noted the croissants were hard and stale, waffles were cold, and cookies were tooth chipping hard. Many items were barely warm, or a few, even cool. The chocolate fountain for desserts was a bonus (except for hard cookies). You could dip a cookie, marshmallow or strawberry in the flowing chocolate for a special treat. A universal complaint from all 6 was the noise level. It was extremely LOUD, even with several empty tables. Conversation was difficult, and hearing/understanding the server nearly impossible. It did take a while for a server to get to us to take drink orders. The special was a $22 Mimosa carafe - enough for 3 or 4 drinks - a great deal. Ordering a Bloody Mary from the menu set us back $20 for one drink! All told, our bill including tax and tip was close to $400. If you are a big meat eater with a healthy appetite and don't order alcohol, maybe this brunch is for you. Otherwise, I am not so sure. read more

I was told someone would get back with me once I gave him the details. Nothing. So I called again three times and left voicemails with event planners. Nothing. I do understand that many places are very understaffed, however, a smile, a pleasant greeting or any pleasantry at all would have gone a long way. Very disappointed, made reservations over a week ago for my nieces birthday for 15ppl. She made her own reservations and asked for back patio. Upon arrival we were told there was only a reserved table for 20ppl on the back patio and it wouldn't accommodate us. So at the last minute they decided to put us on the side patio where 5 tables were pushed together. Every other person had to straddle the legs of the tables. Not comfortable. If you require a credit card to reserve a table at least have a table for me when I arrive. Oh and btw they did not have a server for us. The bartender waited on. SMH read more

And if you WANT to mix a little fun with your cocktails ... you can HAVE it, Bowling or Bocce for just $1 every Sunday - Thursday after 9pm. $1/hour ! So now you're asking yourself, "what if I WANT a meal, at a really reasonable price"... You can HAVE it! Bottomless Spaghetti, Meatballs, and Chop Salad for just $10 after 5p.m. every Monday!
