Pin stack was great! Fun atmosphere, great drinks and delicious food. Highly recommend the pinstack nachos. They are layered with gooey queso and an assortment of toppings. The fried pickles were also really good. They were fried to perfection and served with a house ranch. However be aware they aren't your typical pickle coins; the fun shapes were a pleasantly delicious surprise. I chose to sip on a frozen margarita and it did not disappoint. The cocktails are made with love. I was surprised to see the happy hour drinks served in such large glasses. Definitely the best five bucks I've spent in a while. Bowling was fun but seating is crowded if you have more than 4 people. Waitress was very attentive, great service. That said, save your money and don't play the arcade games. Half of them are broken but will still take credits off your card if you swipe them. Everything was sticky. Prize prices are ridiculous. I couldn't wash my hands quicker after leaving. read more

I am reviewing this from a corporate event perspective. This review could have been a solid 4 stars with some minor improvements. I'm keeping in mind that this venue is HUGE and they are only 6-weeks old, so I think they may be still working out some kinks, but I hate that seemed to be practicing on my event. So, I had a very casual 15-19 person group event...a thank you event for a project completed. I looked online and found exactly what I needed. The venue offers a huge entertainment selection including video games, bowling, laser tag, a rock climbing wall and bumper cars...but I chose to go with the Bowl & Bites package. It included bowling lanes, shoe rental, a $5 video gaming card and food and drinks (at beer & wine, call bar or well bar packages) for two hours. We went with the call bar package at $44.99 per person, and added an extra hour for an additional $13. The food we chose included a fruit and veg tray, sliders, tacos, mac n cheese pops, onion rings, chicken skewers and a cake assortment. Overall, the food was good. I was skeptical about the mac and cheese pops, but they were a huge hit! the brisket sliders went right away but the chicken sliders were topped with mashed potatoes which kind of grossed our group out. The tacos were good, the chicken skewers were extremely mediocre. I didn't try the onion rings, because they went to fast. We were able to choose two types for the cake assortment, and it arrived as two GIGANTIC cakes! That was impressive. The facilities were brand spanking, the shoes were the nicest ever, the bowling lanes had a nice lounge area with couches and a coffee table with a place to put your shoes and purses. Everything about the bowling was spot on. My problems were in booking the event, and the level of service for our group. Every time I called the event planner was "with a client," and although messages were left, calls were not returned. It was nerve racking because after three weeks of trying, I didn't confirm my event until the Monday prior to the Thursday event. I don't want to put too much emphasis on my service complaints...but one server for our group probably wasn't enough, at least at the beginning. Drinks came out extremely slowly, and we had to flag the server down every time for refills. Eventually I started reminding our server to sweep the crowd to see if anyone needed refills. About an hour in, another server in training joined the team. So those are small complaints, only noticed by me as the event organizer. I am likely to use PinStack again, but I'll wait until they settle in a little more. read more

I was at Pinstack as part of a company happy hour & bowling event. I really like this place as it has multiple things under the same roof. The location is ideal as it is on DNT and has ample parking. Bowling facilities are located inside and they have multiple lanes to accommodate a huge crowd. If you have a private event, they have reserved lanes as well. The decor inside is great and gives a fun feeling to it. The games section has an a plethora of choices and adds to the fun. If you are bored with bowling, you can always go to the games section. Food is pretty decent. I highly recommend their sweet potato fries and chicken tenders. They do have a fully stocked bar and many local brews on tap - my recommendation is the Lakewood lager. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I will come here again! read more

4.5 stars, but I gave them the benefit and put this review at five stars. 4.5 rounds to 5 anyway. I had my 15th birthday party at Pinstack on Saturday 9/28, and it was great! Pinstack opens at 10, and my party was at 10, which meant I got there 15 minutes earlier and the place was closed. We informed them we had a birthday, and a kind lady greeted us and provided details about the party, even saying that our guests could come at 9:50. Good service. The party itself was organized pretty well. Bowling first, then lunch, then video games and attractions. No complaints about video games or attractions. They're fun, the staff is nice, it's a good time. The guy who was the party assistant was pretty chill, didn't talk much but he was nice. He must have a really fun job working at one of the best bowling and arcade spots AND being the party assistant at so many different different parties ranging from toddlers who can't barely count to 20 to adults who are moms and dads. The party was pretty loosely organized after we had finished bowling and our time in the party room. I am usually not a big fan at all of loosely organized events, but here it makes sense within the context of a 15 year olds birthday party because a teenager doesn't want to be constantly told where to go next, where to go next at his own birthday party. We enjoyed the freedom of just going where ever we wanted after pizza and cake, and it was a lengthy party as well. Not a short two hour barely had any fun but my party lasted around 4 and a half hours. Let's talk the birthday party packages. And here is why my review is 4.5 and not 5 out of 5. Let me start off by saying that the packages they offer look a lot better than Strikz or Main Event. It made me feel happy that I had my birthday party here instead of anywhere else. But my complaints mainly have to do with the balance of the different packages for the prices that they are. The King Pin and Head Pin are too similar. The King Pin has unlimited video games while the Head Pin has two hours video games, yes, but with sixty card points, you're not going to spend two hours in the arcade when you only need thirty minutes or so. And King Pin has unlimited attractions while Head Pin has 2 hours, but even if you have unlimited attractions, you're probably going to spend only 2 hours anyway. Also bowling is a little broken. The King Pin needs to have that extra hour of bowling. Even the Spiller, which costs $10 less per person, has the same 1 hour bowling time as the King Pin. I mean the place is literally called Pin Stack. If you're going to spend 10 more dollars per person, which can easily add up to 100+ dollars, you might as well give us that extra hour of bowling at a place that literally gives a giant bowling pin to the birthday celebrant. The VIP Guest Room upgrade helps give it a little balance, but the King Pin VIP really needs a bowling upgrade. I took a look at the adult birthdays just because I was curious and a few of the adult packages do have 2 hours bowling. I want that for the King Pin VIP. Pinstack birthdays are good though. Lots of fun, and a lot to do. People say Strikz and Main Event are the best, but both of them have "the bumpers when you bowl age restriction policy" which Pinstack thankfully doesn't have, and also you should really go to their websites and see what they have to offer for birthdays compared to Pinstack. Returned here on a cold, misty Saturday afternoon and ended up leaving after being told they had a 2 hour wait for the bowling lanes. The place was packed, so I guess that's not their fault, should've timed our visit better, but what I didn't like was that there was sign posted above the bowling lane check-in desk with "variable pricing". From what I recall, it was $20/hrly to bowl during non-peak times and $35/hrly during peak times? Are they using the TexExpress pricing model? read more

I was in town for work and a group of us came here for bowling and food & drink. We had tons of fun. Its always fun to bowl with your colleagues, especially when you are not very good. It was fun seeing who was the best bowler. They had a full bar so we had a ton of different drinks. Our waiter was very attentive and took good care of us. We also ordered a ton of food off the appetizer menu. We had the following: GAME TIME NACHOS Chipotle chicken and brisket - we had one of each BBQ BRISKET & CHEDDAR POTATO SKINS Lakewood Lager cheese sauce CHICKEN WINGS Traditional with Buffalo sauce FRESH BAKED PRETZEL BITES Lakewood Lager cheese sauce CLASSIC MARGHERITA Fresh mozzarella, sliced tomato, fresh basil Everything was delicious. As a huge pinball fan, I was a little disappointed that a place called "Pinstack" would have only 4 total pinball tables. I realize it is obviously named after their bowling pins, but the spacious entrance hall I think has room for an additional 2 more tables (if the owner or staff is reading this, please consider bringing in pinball tables!) But I have digressed from my review of this fine establishment as a whole, which certainly still deserves 5 stars. The food is good and they have a wide selection for their drink menu at the bar. Everything is clean with sanitizer pumps at every corner while their staff do everything they can to keep the business safe and compliant. Very upscale feeling despite the prices being reasonably cheap for the game cards to play. I would recommend this place for any family looking to have some fun activity together during these COVID times. read more

Usually have a great time here and really prefer this bowling alley over others but tonight I was really disappointed in how my family and I were turned away to finishing our game. We were in the second frame of our game and the manager would not give us an additional 30 min to finish our game even though they close at 12pm and it was 11:25pm at the time I asked. It really wasn't about the cost or the time we just wanted to finish our game. The manager flat out lied and said the registers just don't work at 11:25pm? Then he finally agrees to 15 min. We ordered food as we were bowling and the food never came out, after an hour our server had told us the food would be taken care of by the manager since it had been over an hour. We continued to wait for the food && it was now 12:34 AM and we still hadn't received it. The manager CHRIS then came up to us and was extremely rude and demeaning. He said "this wasn't his fault and he wasn't going to do anything about it". I'm in the service industry and I am veryyyy understanding things happen in the kitchen; however, the way that Chris handled this situation was extremely unprofessional. We had issues with a bowling lane that was stuck for good 5-10 min ( which were never given back) . We paid for the KINGPIN experience and after 10 min of playing the cards were no good anymore even for the advertised ALL DAY attractions, which we thought we paid extra for. Chris Elizondo is a great guy and an excellent server. Chris answered all of our requests and worked hard to keep checking on us even when we may have not deserved it. He went above an beyond with his service and I certainly will be a returning customer because of Chris. Even when our requests were outlandish he made sure to do his best to take care of us and he was honest was he wasn't able to complete one of our ridiculous requests. This man deserves a raise. Any requests that was reasonable and mad on our behalf was completed promptly and efficiently. The venue and environment was average but the experience created by this one individual will bring us back time and time again as long as he is still employed. I will be returning to pinstack solely because of Chris. He made our experience excellent. read more

This was the BEST!, birthday party I've ever hosted for my son. I've gotten so many "thank yous" from the kids, not just the parents--but the kids and teens too, saying they had a great time and thanking me for inviting them to his event. Worst place ever. We rented out the private room for 30 people with food, bar & bowling. We could not get a drink. We went to the bar 3 times to just a get a water and Cari would not give us water. She ignored us and on the 3rd time I asked for a water, she said could find a pitcher of water. After this my boss asked for a water and she said it would be 5 dollars each. I had a little going away dinner pary here. To my surprise the place was clean and had an array of food choices to eat as well as beverages. I had the BBQ Hawaiian pizza for dinner. Surprisingly the pizza was pretty good. The toppings were very fresh and the pineapples were sweet. (not that you really care). But sometimes when I get Hawaiian pizza the pineapples are old nasty looking canned ones. So in my book, yay for chunky sweet pineapple!! For Friday night it wasn't too bad of a wait. We had to wait an hour before we could Bowl. Celine seating positions were roomy. I love that this place had games, rock wall climbing, laser tag, and bumper cars. We came here for bowling on a Friday night and had the most unimpressive experience. Came in and went straight to the desk at the front to inquire about bowling lanes and wait times. There were two staff members who were far too busy conversing among themselves to stop talking and acknowledge us. After staring at them for about 60 seconds, I finally had to say, "Excuse me," loudly for one of them to look up. They only had the wait time for the regular lanes and not the VIP lanes, so we were sent to the bowling check-in station. We went with a VIP bowling lane since there was luckily no wait (1.5 hr for a regular lane). I asked and confirmed that we'd be able to order food and drinks through someone once we got to our lane. We enter the "VIP" area (it's behind closed double doors...really nothing else too special about it) and got to our lane. Entered all of our info for the game and waited for someone to bring menus. A good five minutes go by, so we pressed the service button on the bowling screen. Several more minutes go by, and no one comes by. My husband finally manages to flag down one of the servers walking around. We ended up ordering two beers, two apps, and a burger to split. Everything was incredibly mediocre. Queso that was served with the chips hardened almost as soon as it was brought out. Mozzarella sticks had super thick, heavy batter. The burger was probably the best thing we ate. For a place that boasts having "top-notch chefs" and a "scratch kitchen," I was pretty disappointed. I went to a corporate function at Main Event recently and surprisingly enough, that food was far better than what I had here. To top it all off, the place was absolutely filthy. There was food all over the ground not only in the bowling areas but also just in the main walking areas. I felt like I was having to constantly walk around/avoid all kinds of messes on the floor. First time here food was amazing. But the service was very very slow. My waiter MYLAN was obviously high off something he smelt and his eyes were bloodshot red. If I was by myself I wouldn't mind however I had 4 kids with me. So I didn't appreciate that. He never refilled drinks or checked on us at ANY point in time. It took him 20 min to notice me asking for my check then took ANOTHER 20 min just to process it. My husband and I went out on a date to the Pinstack, we headed to the best attraction first which is their bar (before heading out to the bumper cars) we were immediately greeted with expertise in the art of mixing drinks, Cameron was our bartender and did not disappoint. Cameron mixed our drinks perfectly and gave exceptionally great customer service. My husband and I enjoyed all the attractions specially the bumper cars, the lazer tag but most of all the great customer service and great drinks at the bar. Finally made it back here after 7 years, this time with kids. Our kids had a blast playing games and doing laser tag with their cousins. 20 dollars each somehow lasted them 2 hours. I wish we could see into the laser tag and liked they could use their cards vs requesting extra money. Game selection was good, very clean, my only complaint was it was confusing on what gave tickets and what didn't as I was surprised how little my kids ended with. The adults we were able to sit in the restaurant most of the time while they played. Food was pretty good, we had pizza and salads and good service all around. They have definitely improved on service and probably my expectations are different now over the years. We will definitely be back especially to bowl or rock climb next time. read more

Travis was informed and he gave the utmost delightful service. I really appreciate the team getting things turned around. Several waiters apologized and checked on us during the stay. So impressed with service at Pinstack this week!! We went one afternoon & had the best service from Ant at the bar (he was so busy but remembered tab names, drink orders & was so friendly) & Zayan in the game area! They seemed short staffed but Zayan was on it for any activity my kids wanted to do. When I asked for a manager, Dean may have been nervous (lol I'm a middle aged white lady) but he was so happy to hear about his amazing staff!! THEN, we brought family to play a couple days later. My 4 year old niece played a game with one prize in mind, over & over & over. When we went to the toys to redeem her tickets, the exact prize wasn't in there. I nicely (promise not Karen-y) asked about it & Gavin & Jacoby returned with a whole box of the pandas she wanted!! So sweet for them to care to look at all!!
