We really like this place and my daughter (11 years old) and I go regularly to bowl and to play games, but consistently, almost every time we go (a few times a month), the service is poor or nonexistent. Today we went to bowl, we asked to order food and after half an hour we asked the manager to send someone over to take our order. No one came. As we were leaving, we saw wait staff standing around, chatting with each other. This level of service is consistent with our past visits; the norm and not the exception unfortunately. The food is almost always good but do have some issues from time to time. The games are great but they aren't maintaining them very well. If they would do a bit more preventative measures, like kick people out who are kicking, climbing, yanking and all around acting like fools in the game area then the games would not need the amount of maintenance they do. It is frustrating when 30-40% of the games are out of order and there are still idiots running around breaking more stuff. The bowling is usually pretty good. read more

If you like laser tag, arcade games, and bougie bowling then you'll enjoy Pinstack. The menu reads gourmet but I'd say the food is just average for true connoisseurs. Bowl and Barrel's food is far better. However, Pinstack does have a much longer list of local draft beers which is a plus. Bowling is charged in increments of 30 minutes which is annoying because they cut it off exactly when your time ends. You could be midway through the 10th frame and have to pay another $18 just to finish. I'm not sure why the can't just pro-rate any extra minutes. And the lanes are greased evenly all the way across which makes it difficult to catch the edge for a big curve. No bueno for real bowlers but I'm guessing most won't notice or care. Service was slow at the lanes so most of our group was walking to the bar for drinks. Laser tag was fun but they didn't explain the shields, base, or rapid fire upgrades the first time we played which would have made it a lot more fun. The ramp inside is steep so be careful going down. The bumper car room looks way too small to be worth doing but there's an obscenely long foosball table for a big group to play all at once. Overall, I like Pinstack better than Dave & Busters and Main Event if you're trying to have some fun in the burbs. read more

The arcade area stole our money! We went December 2022. Several games would take money from our card and not allow us to play the game. We had to swipe several times. We didn't realize it was taking money at first but when we realized, we told the workers and they seemed unbothered, and just reloaded more money on our card. They were not concerned that the machines were broken, seemed to be aware of the problem and no concern in regards to fixing it. Also, several games jammed and malfunctioned while playing, making them impossible to play or enjoy. Don't play the games at this location! Wish we could get a full refund. When bowling, they do not let you finish your game after your hour is up even if you only have one person left to finish their round. If you have 4 or more don't even bother trying to fit in a 10 round bowl in an hour. Also, wouldn't let us increase our hour because of a wait... we had 6 people with food and everything at our lane... All the gaming machines ate all our points and didn't even work. No reimbursement. 75 percent of the machines do not work, take your points, but then do not work. The LEAST they could do is manage the arcade and put up Out of Order signs. Cool spot for team outings for a great price; however, the food quality at this location could definitely use improvement when compared to their Plano location. We had team outings at both locations with a few weeks of each other, but we started off at Plano then came to Irving. The size of both locations seemed similar, and they have private dining rooms available. They have bowling, laser tag, and an arcade area. We did purchased a card for the arcade, and also bowled. The bowling part was fine, and we didn't have any issues with the lanes. The arcade area is a decent size, and they have your usual racing games, machines where you can win tickets to redeem for prizes, and the machines you can win stuffed animals with the claw. As mentioned above, the area that could really use improvement is their food. Their KingPin pizza was cut into GIANT slices, and it took them close to 10 minutes to cut the giant slices into squares. The dough was also too thick. The fried mac n cheese balls were bland here, and not crispy enough. The desserts here also weren't very good. I wouldn't order the key lime pie or chocolate cake again. The skillet chocolate chip cookie and cheesecake were both solid. The one saving grace about this location was the service- our server was super attentive and brought our drinks over quickly. If I had to choose, I would opt for their Plano location versus returning here, even though Plano is much farther away. Parking at this location is easy since they have their own lot. read more

I went for the first time yesterday. I ordered street tacos and my child had chicken tenders and it was good. Nothing AH-MAZING but good. I was a little disappointed that they don't have a gluten free bun anymore (since I heard, a while back, that they did), since I wanted to try the 20 dollar burger and my gluten digestive aide can't handle all of that regular bun. The only activities that we did were arcade games, which my son really liked. There were some that were out of order. Fun place for corporate events or to take your kids to burn some energy for a few hours. They have bowling, laser tag, video games, etc. My expectations were not high for the food quality, but I will say they have some very moist brownies. Otherwise, we had the taco bar catered and it consisted of very dry chicken and steak, basic veggies and toppings. My family and I visited this location Saturday for the Father's Day steak deal!!!! The tomahawk is cooked perfectly every year (chef's kiss) and Tyler H was AMAZING!! Very helpful, courteous and friendly. Tia was our waiter and she was nice as well but Tyler really stepped in as a team player because Tia was understandably busy considering this was a Saturday night. On Sunday March 16th at 4:40pm my family and I went to play laser tag left our stuff inside where we thought they at least be safe to no one to grab. After playing for about seven minutes, we got done with laser tag and we noticed that my brother 90 dollars were missing, the only people who were inside were employee Jenova and another women as well. Both denied saying they didn't take the money, we asked the group that as outside waiting and which they replied that they didn't see anyone go inside while we were playing only the employees. We asked to see the cameras because it's ridiculous on how 90 dollars were missing when we were only there for 7 minutes, manager Kevin and supervisors were no help they said no one came in to the laser tag except my family so if you add two and two together it was one of the employees. Jenova was changing his stories every time I left or one of my family members left so it clearly seems that he had something to do with it being missing, I DONT RECOMMEND GOING HERE THEY ARE THEIFS AND MANAGEMENT WAS NO HELP THEY ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICES!!!!! if I had an option of putting zero stars I will terrible. read more

Horrible experience! We went for a birthday party. First the staff did not helped us during the whole party. We had to ask him. Then we were rushed to empty the room after our 45 minutes. We moved to a table because kids were playing and parents wanted to sit and chill. They kept coming and ask us to order something. We just had a birthday party. Well we eventually did order drinks, lame drinks, they said we can not sit in a booth, we moved to a table, then they asked us to move to another table but we had more parents so requested for a bigger table. They declined. We eventually sat outside in cold with small kids. The dinning staff was absolutely rude and offensive. They made us bad drinks and spoiled the whole birthday party. I mean obnoxiously, head splittingly loud. If you're a person with sensory issues who doesn't deal well with too much audio and visual input, this is not the place for you. If you're even a little bit serious about bowling, this isn't the place for you. The flashing and changing lights on the pins is distracting. You can't see the target marks on the lanes because of the darkness and colored lights on the lanes. We bowled for my daughter's sweet 16 birthday. This was our first time at Pinstack and it was very nice and clean. So much better than Main Event where we usually go. It is a bit pricy but we went in the morning to take advantage of the cheaper lane rates. -bowling shoes were in good shape. -nice lanes with automatic scoring -ordered fried pickles as an appetizer, they were good but at $10 for about 24 pickle slices, it was pricey. Good but nothing extraordinary. -had fun playing in the arcade afterward. All the games were in goos working order and we noticed an employee testing out some games to ensure they were fully operational. -played our first quad air hockey game. If you have food allergies, do NOT come to Pinstack: I went to Pinstack Plano for my sister's birthday. The expectation was to bowl and have dinner, easy right? Not at all when you go to Pinstack. I have a dairy and gluten intolerance - I won't die, but I will get sick if I eat it (cross-contamination is okay). I understand that this is not always the easiest to accommodate but usually places will work with me. Again, not at Pinstack. The menu is vague, so I notified my server of my allergens. I was immediately met with "We don't have anything gluten free here." Hoping he was inexperienced or new, I asked for their allergen menu or ingredients list. Once again, I was met with "we don't have that." I asked if he was sure, as I've never been to a corporate food serving place without either, and he left to ask his manager. The server came back and said his manager said they were not legally required so they do not have it. Irritated, I asked him to check the ingredients for chips and salsa. This is when I finally get to meet said manager. Manager approaches and his first question (which he repeated multiple times) was "what do you eat when you go out?" I honestly don't know how to answer that. Food? I'm not picky and will eat almost anything that does't have my allergies. The manager then said their food is from scratch. Which is great, but doesn't help me determine what I could eat. Finally, after much going back-and-forth I was able to find something to order. By the time my food came, my group's time was up and we were supposed to leave so the area could be cleaned. Despite enjoying bowling, I don't think anyone in my group will ever return. Walked in and sat there while staff looked at me. It was 6:15pm on a Sunday and no wait staff at all. The staff who were available just stood there looking at us while we waited. I had to approach the staff to ask about the wait staff. I spoke with Abigail who was friendly and welcoming but could not explain why no wait staff was available. She tried getting the manager for the restaurant, but no manager came so I just left. Why even have the restaurant? Just shut it down and have bowling and games. Probably wont be coming back for a while. We came in to enjoy a night out and wanted to have dinner and bowl. This place is super messy in terms of trash on the floors, tables covered in dirty plates, spills everywhere and trash cans overflowing onto the floor. We were told to go find a spot in the back because the dining room was closed, but all of the tables in the back were sticky and horrible. We had asked two separate employees who had the carts to wipe off a table for us one of them Domitri had a nasty attitude even raised his voice at my boyfriend when we asked and just walked away. Finally a waiter came and helped. Pinstack Plano hosted a musical performance event for local schools, and it was the worst experience. After charging $30 per participant/chaperone, staff repeatedly told us to move out of the way of their "paying customers." They also marked menu prices up approximately 40% for anyone on the field trip. For instance, a milkshake listed as $10 on their website, printed menus, and table toppers was $14 for anyone with a school group. When questioned staff said it was because "children are present today" as if children are not regularly present at Pinstack. Be prepared to be scammed if you come to Pinstack Plano! read more

I am reviewing this from a corporate event perspective. This review could have been a solid 4 stars with some minor improvements. I'm keeping in mind that this venue is HUGE and they are only 6-weeks old, so I think they may be still working out some kinks, but I hate that seemed to be practicing on my event. So, I had a very casual 15-19 person group event...a thank you event for a project completed. I looked online and found exactly what I needed. The venue offers a huge entertainment selection including video games, bowling, laser tag, a rock climbing wall and bumper cars...but I chose to go with the Bowl & Bites package. It included bowling lanes, shoe rental, a $5 video gaming card and food and drinks (at beer & wine, call bar or well bar packages) for two hours. We went with the call bar package at $44.99 per person, and added an extra hour for an additional $13. The food we chose included a fruit and veg tray, sliders, tacos, mac n cheese pops, onion rings, chicken skewers and a cake assortment. Overall, the food was good. I was skeptical about the mac and cheese pops, but they were a huge hit! the brisket sliders went right away but the chicken sliders were topped with mashed potatoes which kind of grossed our group out. The tacos were good, the chicken skewers were extremely mediocre. I didn't try the onion rings, because they went to fast. We were able to choose two types for the cake assortment, and it arrived as two GIGANTIC cakes! That was impressive. The facilities were brand spanking, the shoes were the nicest ever, the bowling lanes had a nice lounge area with couches and a coffee table with a place to put your shoes and purses. Everything about the bowling was spot on. My problems were in booking the event, and the level of service for our group. Every time I called the event planner was "with a client," and although messages were left, calls were not returned. It was nerve racking because after three weeks of trying, I didn't confirm my event until the Monday prior to the Thursday event. I don't want to put too much emphasis on my service complaints...but one server for our group probably wasn't enough, at least at the beginning. Drinks came out extremely slowly, and we had to flag the server down every time for refills. Eventually I started reminding our server to sweep the crowd to see if anyone needed refills. About an hour in, another server in training joined the team. So those are small complaints, only noticed by me as the event organizer. I am likely to use PinStack again, but I'll wait until they settle in a little more. read more
