    Pool table in the lobby
    Nycole R.

If you're looking for a cool place to hang out with your friends and enjoy the lobby or pool area, this might be for you. But if you're a tired traveler and want to retire to your room and just relax, you may be a little disappointed. I found my room to be clean, but very dark. I had to turn on every light in the room and the bathroom to provide ample lighting to do my makeup in the morning. The shower is very dark, even though it's all glass. The food selection is pretty limited. Basically whatever you see in the cooler or on the counter is what you get to choose from. The service was good. I had a broken remote control and requested assistance and it was taken care of right away.

This is one of the nicer Aloft's that I've been to. The cleanliness is what other hotels should set their standards at, the staff was incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable, and for the most part it had all the necessary amenities. I do wish the breakfast was included, but something unique to this location is they have a plinko giveaway at check-in for Bonvoy members where you can win everything from breakfast to bonus points. I was working in the lobby area and was approached by an employee (Marcin) who asked how my stay was going and if there was anything I needed - this is the first time someone preemptively checked in before there was an issue. Very impressed!

This was the very first time I have ever stayed in this Marriott chain. The hotel was eclectic, trendy and simpliy contemporary. The room was clean, comfortable and roomy. I love the shower area which was all tiled and close completely sealed. In the lobby, they had a pool table set aside with trendy comfortable seating along with a cool bar area. I definitely would stay at this hotel again when I travel to this area.

    Where are our beds?!?! Really?
    Ashley C.

Upon check in, we get informed that we will be disturbed at 8am (6am my time), so that new mattresses can be delivered. I was of course not happy about that because I wanted to sleep in since I was so sleep deprived but that obviously didn't matter to them. They never went over any amenity such as where the gym was, the breakfast, etc. just the disclaimer that we would incur an inconvenient wake up call the next morning. 8am rolls around and I had anxiety waiting for delivery guys to roll into our room early, so I woke up early to clear the beds. Of course they didn't come. We wanted to grab something to eat but were afraid the delivery guys would come in when we were gone so we spent some time unpacking our valuables so we could take them with us. A few hours later, around 1pm, we return to the hotel to find 2 delivery guys, 3 housekeepers, and two hotel staff occupying our small room...awesome. I told them I was exhausted and wanted to hurry this along so I could rest before checking out earlier than I anticipated due to a scheduling conflict back home. They finally took both mattresses and then said "ok we're done." I then asked them if they were seriously going to just leave us with NO beds and the employee Kelly responded "well you're checking out early so you won't need one!" Are you kidding me?!?! I told her it was none of her business when I was actually checking out because I was prepaid until the following day. Furthermore, I didn't need to explain to her why I would like a bed in my hotel room! She continued to argue with my friend which we both were left in shock by. I finally told her that I was running on about 4 hours of sleep and I wanted all 6 of the strangers out of my room. The housekeepers then started actually trying to clean the bathroom after the mattress was finally in and I had to tell them 4 times to please leave. The experience was just ridiculous. The timing for changing the mattresses was retarded and the staff was clueless. The hotel was a glorified wanna be W hotel in the middle of a burnt field with nothing to see or do. We were literally the only people staying there. I never saw ANYONE other than the employees. What a complete joke.

Dirty towels and garbage in the hallways for over 2 days
    AJ C.

This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. I understand COVID has made come challenges but dirty laundry and garbage has been sitting in hallways for the last 2 days with nobody picking it up. The toilet started leaking water and I was told they could not come into the room due to COVID. I was not offered another room, and when I told the front desk I will not be responsible for water damage they said they would try and have maintenance fix it. Within the next 8 hours toilet was leaking again. Multiple family members are in town for an event and everyone has had some terrible experience. Aside from all the issues the hotel is nowhere near any of the shops, restaurants or entertainment. If you make the mistake of staying at Aloft, at least the Frisco Aloft is near civilization.

This pillow stayed on the floor during my stay.

Three stars! If I had only stayed one night it'd be 5 easy. Checked in Friday afternoon and the front desk was very friendly. Beds were great-appeared clean*, and when I called Saturday morning and asked if we could get breakfast brought up to our room they were happy to oblige. I wish I had got the mans name, he was great! (I saw when I wrote this review that they don't have room service, but I am glad he did a little extra because it made my stay) So now why this place lost two stars. Well first, I'm a very easy going person. I don't get bent out of shape over little things when it comes to hotels. I'm usually not in them for any length of time other than to sleep. So when my pillow shams have blood/brown drool stains on them, I get a little uneasy. Lol Two of the four where dirty, but it made me wonder if they even check them after every stay? I didn't report it to the desk because I didn't uncover it til the next morning. I only use one so the others were pushed to the side. Be sure to check before you lay down! BUT considering the people who were working the desk that day, I am sure it would've been taken care of immediately. Now onto the noise levels here. Unless you blast your TV, you will hear EVERYTHING. My last night was spent trying to drown out the sounds of my neighbors sexual conquests. It was ridiculous and it went on til 8 am the next day. Lastly, on the day of our check out, the front desk was rude and even hung up on me when I called and asked for some info. The sass was at an all time high and left me with a different impression than when I got here.

This place is fantastic! My boyfriend and I stayed here after booking through priceline. We couldn't have been more impressed. One of the main reasons we choose this hotel is because of its pet policy. We were allowed to bring our 15lb mini Australian Shepherd here without paying a pet fee. They also offered us dog toys and a dog bed if needed. The interior of this hotel is also super chic. I love the modern decor and the rotating colors on the bar top are excellent! The sitting area near the bar also offers a lot of fun things for people of all ages. Tons of board games are available and just a short distance away is a pool table. The rooms are also very nice. Sleek and modern, but not cold at all. I would love to decorate my room at home like their hotel rooms. The close proximity to Stonebriar Mall was also very convenient for holiday shopping.

The pillows and the bed were all super comfortable, and we had a really great view. The only downside in our room was that the TV was kind of glitchy. We loved how easy it was to walk everywhere for dining and nightlife, and we didn't have to drive. This will definitely be a regular spot for us to stay whenever we are in Dallas. The main reasons for the three star rating are the check in process and my room. It took an hour and a half for me to get my keys because someone either hadn't booked my room or booked it incorrectly. After a long day of travel, I wanted to rest, freshen up, and eat, but I had no such luck. It really put a damper on my day. Secondly, once I got to the room, I had other issues. It smelled incredibly musty and I knew it was because the carpets needed cleaning. Some parts of the floor felt stiffer than others, indicating that something was spilled on them. I was so hungry and was actually willing to pay for minibar snacks, but there weren't any (no drinks either except for water). I was also hoping for a more generous bathroom setup as well (makeup wipes, etc.). The water pressure in the shower was a bit too low as well. On the plus side, this hotel is within walking distance of many great restaurants and shopping. This experience wasn't the best, but they are typically a solid choice.

Second floor is mostly seating and a couple bars. Third floor mostly bars and some seating. While waiting for my party to arrive I sat at the second floor bar, Heaven Hill, and ordered a couple cocktails. The bar tender, a pleasantly upbeat woman, educated me on the various food options as well as some of their favored cocktails. I had a raspberry beret (shoutout Prince) and a Larceny Paloma. The name was just calling me. While the beret was fruity and refreshing, the Paloma had a bite and kick that snuck up on you. I loved it!! As it's a mall of food there was no trying just one lol. We tried the dry rub brisket bar, chef chin's hibachi ramen, chilango's tacos, cotton and snow, and unlawful assembly brewing co. To finish the evening. Brisket with Mac and cheese; burria tacos; tonkotsu ramen; cookies and cream ice cream; and lastly a Moscow Mule to end the evening. The Mac and cheese from the brisket bar was terrible. Runny, and bland. But the brisket was amazing. Seasoned and tender and so moist!!! Tacos were exceptional. Ramen was awesome. Ice cream was ice cream. It wasn't bad, but not eye popping amazing. The mule was delicious. I ended the night stuffed and sleepy!! Great visit!! If you're in the Plano area this is a must!! And there are tons more eateries.

Overall, I was really impressed! I've been to several conferences in my lifetime and this one felt professional, yet also elegant and warm at the same time from the set up and the snacks and formal dinner that were offered. Our conference had between 125-150 attendees. First of all, they had multiple rooms with multiple set ups, but all on the same conference hall wing. It felt very private. Not really any outside people strolling through because not much else is on that end of the hotel. All of the technology (including live video chat incoming to the room, playing videos during the conference, mikes, and video recording for later AND the lights and music of the amazing dance floor that night) worked as it should. They were kind enough to store a large sheet cake for us in the fridge until dessert. During the conference, they provided an incredible array of comfort/snack foods that you will see in my pictures. For dinner, we had an amazing several course meal starting with a seafood bisque with a flaky pastry crust, filet mignon, with delicious sides, and ending with an apple pie with the same amazing flaky crust, which is totally my weakness. That night I shared a room with other participants and slept on the couch since they already claimed the king bed. It was actually really comfortable! We had the doors open between our room and the room next to it which was super convenient for all the back and forth we had to get things needed downstairs for the conference. The hotel was always so helpful when we kept misplacing keys every time we loaned them to someone else who just had to run up and grab one more thing. All of the staff I interacted with had that great southern hospitality with a blend of professionalism. The next morning we grabbed the hearty buffet breakfast downstairs and I got a custom omelette, a biscuit with gravy, fruit, and a few cups of coffee! It was just what I needed to fuel me for my bus trip to spend under 24 hours in Waco, including #MagnoliaMonday! I highly recommend this hotel to stay or hold your event here! It was also a reasonably priced Uber ride from the airport to get here!

Friendly staff and I did get onto the club floor - more on that later... My room seemed nice but upon investigation, sheets on one of the beds were stained (looked almost like grease or tar somehow) - not sure how they made it on the bed - was pretty noticeable. The shower floor had what almost looked like food in various spots. So many that I didn't want to step on it. I did mention to the front desk staff - and supposedly it was cleaned but when I went back in I would say it wasn't fully cleaned. Bed was sort of comfy but their sheets sort of only tuck around so the bottom sheets move a lot. Maybe some wouldn't be bothered by this though. The rest of the room was clean. Hand soap in the bathroom was a pretty large pump container of a nice brand soap - bit it was almost empty. As to the club... happy hour consisted of cold chicken bites, a small plate of cheese/fruit and some small desserts. Desserts were good but overall somewhat lacking. Almost better to have a better cheese/meat platter and scrap the chicken (warm) item. Sparkling water (and flavored water) machine was always on as was the coffee maker (with options for cappuccinos, etc) and a fridge with soda was open. Other hotel club areas also have beer/wine, but this spot did not. Breakfast in the club was much better - eggs, sausage, bacon, various breads and pastries and juices, yogurts, etc. very solid buffet. I'm sure I'll be back as it's a decent spot in the area but would expect more from a recent renovation. One elevator was also out of service... The gym was nice and large and common areas done well but rooms could be improved.
