Pins Mechanical has opened another location. It's in the Bridge Street mess. This is much more family friendly than the original downtown location. It certainly sounds like it. There's uncontrolled kids running around and screaming. If you've been to the downtown location and you're expecting something similar, you need to rethink coming here. It's a lot different. There's cocktails and pinball machines of course, but that's all there is that's similar between these. For instance, this is in the middle of a redevelopment in Dublin. There's a much different crowd in these parts. As in, families with annoying children. You don't experience that at the original location, where you can play drunken pinball and be a loudmouth. It's the kids that are loud here. There's also a bowling alley, so it's different from the original that only has pinball. After 8 it's adults only. It finally gets to feel more like a bar. There's lots of room for large groups and parties. read more

This establishment is located by other bars and restaurants, making it great to bar hop on a nice day. Also, free garaged parking is nearby, making it easier to access. Came here expecting it to be similar to the Easton location, but it is definitely not as nice. A lot smaller with not as much to do, several broken machines, and several unoccupied but dirty tables. (Empty glasses, used napkins, etc.) There are much more free things to do at the Easton location. Can't say much to service since we didn't stay very long, but any sort of employee greeting/interaction/check-in would have been appreciated. I've been here a handful of times. It's overcrowded, but more roomy than the other location in town. The thing that irritates me is - I'm pin bowling with a friend and her kids. And randomly an employee comes up to me and says "he can't be on that." "On what?" "He can't be on that. If you have a problem with that, I'll have my supervisor talk to you." "What are you talking about?" He walks away. And then another guy comes over. "He can't be on that table (behind the couch)." Holy fucking shit, the attitude. You'd act like I was throwing down and yelling with the way they were acting. How dare I not understand "he can't be there" with no context since I am not here with my kids? You get a shit ton of families and kids - maybe add that to your growing list of "hipster rules" on your wall. If you can't handle kids in house, maybe don't advertise how you want kids here? And if we want to go into the other realms: Pros: it's roomy. Hipster as fuck as their other locations. Cons: the staff is rude as hell. We normally go to the pins mechanical down town on 4th street but we wanted to venture out and try this particular location in Dublin. It turns out this location allows children to bowl later in to the night than the downtown location. So if you're looking for something to do with the kiddos this would be a great place to take them. The bar is really unique here as they have some interesting drinks that they make in house. I would recommend their punch that is on tap at the bar. It's super delicious and it will definitely sneak up on you - be warned. It's super easy to duckpin bowl as well - you just go up to the service counter, sign up, assign your names, and wait for your text message. This place can get super busy on the weekends so I would recommend heading out a bit early to get your spot in line! read more

Our real estate group hosted an appreciation party at PINS Mechanical in April 2022. We reserved The Loft space with 4 bowling lanes, which was plenty of room for our party (~100 guests coming and going at various times). The PINS event planner Nick Hancart helped us coordinate the details in advance, and all the servers that evening were fantastic. We had to bring in our own food, which required careful planning (Gallo's Pizza for the win!). Guests of all ages seemed to enjoy the atmosphere. As a fan of the Pins in downtown Columbus, I was pleased to see a Pins out in Dublin. This particular Pins was ENORMOUS. It was also pretty empty. I feel like the one downtown is often very crowded so we have never been able to try the bowling or a lot of the other activities so being at a fairly empty Pins opened up our opportunity to try giant Jenga and enjoy the outdoor fire pits which was really cool. This is a GREAT space - you can really have a great time, no matter what size group you have. Granted, I went on a Tuesday night so it might get more crowded on the weekends but I really appreciated the ability to spread out. I also appreciated the complimentary parking provided at the garage nearby. That's something you can't get downtown! But...I was disappointed that they don't have any food options. I love the food trucks at the downtown location and I feel like you should have something to serve as far as food or snacks if you're going to be selling alcohol but that's just my personal thought. The drinks are the same as the other Pins and the cocktails are lovely as always. The servers were very friendly. I probably won't come back to this spot just because it doesn't make sense since Dublin is pretty far from me but I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area. read more

Duckpin bowling is a blast. Most of the time you'll be next to others who aren't jack*sses. Occasionally, you'll have the bros next to you who think winging the ball as fast as physically possible is going to somehow increase their odds of winning, but pay attention to the machine (they're different depending on which location you visit!) and you'll soon learn the secret to achieving a strike! The bar is fantastic, you can typically get whatever tickles your fancy. In this case alcohol makes one better at the sport! I love the ambiance here, unless there's some kind of event. I would even tip someone with bad service but this was uncalled for... Everyone was insanely rude, they tried to close our tabs on their own so they could get 25% tip instead of asking the guests what they wanted to finish their tab with. They tried to lie and tell us 4 times they closed our tabs for us so they could get the bigger tips. I had to demand our tabs and receipt breakdown so they couldn't scam customers. So much fun! You have to check it out if you haven't been already. A great bar, bring in your own food and $5/player per game. They also have pinball and some other games and this location is connected to 16 bit arcade where all the games of your fond memories are available and free to play as long as you are drinking. After arriving in Columbus during a horrific snowstorm, my boyfriend and I were in dire need of some nearby things to do. I originally had the downtown Pins Mechanical location bookmarked, but luckily this one was right by our hotel! This place looks like tons of fun. There's duck bowling (which I've never heard of until this place,) bars, pinballs machines, Jenga, shuffleboard, etc. Unfortunately since we came in during said snowstorm, it was a 3 hour wait to bowl....ugh. This place is also connected to 16 Bit Bar, which is a huge arcade, so there are endless amounts of things to do here. Also, there is a parking garage that is FREE next door!! What a super fun new place located in Dublin! I am not sure if this is a chain, but I hope they add more locations as this place is so much fun! I went in Yesterday around 3:30 and the place was packed. This place is filled with pinball machines, duck bowling, Jenga sets, two bars, arcade machines, plenty of TV's and so much more! This place is truly an awesome place in Dublin and a ton of fun. This place has two bars serving up delicious cocktails and beers. The cocktails are super reasonable and they have great options. The beer on tap has a ton of local and Ohio breweries that offer lots of great options. In my most recent visit I had the CBC IPA and it was a tall one and not bad on price at all. This place is great and it says they have a happy hour as well. One thing that I do not like is all the kids running around. This place is 21+ after 8 PM but I think they should change the time to more like 4 or 5 PM. If you are going to have adults there drinking and it is a bar, then you should not have kids at the location. This place does not have food but it does have a food truck come everyday. You can bring food inside. Overall this is a great new place! I can't wait to go again on my next visit to Columbus! read more

Came in on a Sunday afternoon, good amount of people but it was not packed...was trying to get some duck pin bowling in and was told the wait would be 15-20 mins....ended up leaving after we waited an hour and 15 mins with checking in on how much longer but being told "I don't know." I got a text notification 20 mins after I left so over 90 mins and half the lanes weren't being used despite all the covid restrictions they had in play. Thought maybe there were reservations set but nothing...just an I don't know and blank stare....really wish I remembered her name Just not the most professional and friendly place, I've been here before and the service was far more professional from a business standpoint... Not enough seating for all that great space...not sure if I'd go back and probably stick to downtown. read more

Nice place but first time I went there one of their glasses just broke in my hand. Someone must've tried breaking ice with it then served me a beer with it. Cut my hand on it pretty bad. Never got refunded for a $10 beer. Picture is the broken glass. Next time I went the server didn't know what a classic daiquiri was. It's just lime juice, Bacardi/ white rum, shaken with ice. The server made it what I think was a lime syrup. I'm sure the server just didn't know any better. Anyway, I wouldn't order any mixed drinks or cocktails again. Reviewing this pins purely based on covid precautions (and lack thereof). Staff is wearing masks and there's hand sanitizer stations around the exterior. It took over 10 minutes to get the empty one near us refilled. All bowling lanes are open and bowlers do not wear masks. I felt incredibly uncomfortable and already paid. Pins: every other lane should be closed. They're too close together. Pins: every customer should be masked while bowling. Especially with such close contact with their neighbor lane. Unacceptable lack of precautions for covid. Disappointed. This location would be perfect if covid were not a thing, but you know, global pandemic and all. read more

DORA FAIL. During the opening hour of Dublin's first night of DORA - the main bar had one hapless bartender serving a full bar and three cocktail runners. We must have walked in at the exact wrong time, just trying to get three beers in plastic cups for the novelty of walking down the street with them. Everyone was apparently ordering complicated, labor-intensive, high ingredient count concoctions. Muddle. Mix, shake. Berries, syrup. Repeat. Over and over. My wife finally got frustrated and we left. We checked out other businesses that were more prepared. One had an outdoor bar on the sidewalk. Another intercepted us on the way to the bar asking if we needed DORA drinks. We ended up spending three figures during DORA but zero at PINS. read more

Super fun vibe. Not enough bartenders. We waited a long time for drinks. This Pins is SO SPACIOUS. It's luxurious. There is duckpin bowling, giant jenga, a firepit (for when it's not 90 degrees outside), bocce ball, ping pong, and drinks galore. Very new pinball machines. Also there are usually 1-2 food trucks outside, and you can bring the food in. They have their version of a hurricane in a little ball-shaped plastic cup that you can take home. I loved that people could bring their own food or cake in, so we saw a lot of family celebrations. Weird that they didn't let us bring in a water bottle because it had a "brand label" on it. Everyone is chill, though it's a warehouse-y space so the noise level is supremely high with all the games going on. I enjoyed sitting outdoors. This is close to my work and has become a regular in the happy hour rotation. No food is available so be prepared to have food delivered or bring your own. It can get loud inside so in the warmer months it's good to play Jenga or sit by a fire pit. And because it can get loud, clearly state of you want a short or tall beer so you get the size you want. Each beer has a number and when they run out the number is removed until it's replaced with something else. The cocktails might be seasonal. I didn't notice them until this summer when I had their Rose All Day - Rose Vodka + lemonade + Rhinegeist Bubbles + Rose water. Some of my favorites in one drink. read more
