Joseph jewelry was one out of only three places in the area that I could find that offered cutting services. You can book appointments online with them within a day. At first I talked with Tony from the Seattle location and he helped inform me Bellevue is where Danny, the one in charge of the cutting usually works. I came in without an appointment and Christine offered to help me right away. The ambience in the store is very clean, comfortable, and has good lighting. Christine took a look at my stone in great detail, helped walk me through the process of what the cutting would look like. She also got me set up with an account that they will message me on with updates. I will say with the online booking and different actions allowed through their site/my account was so refreshing. A lot of jewelry places that I contacted or reviewed initially through my research were pretty dated. They would have you submit a filled out contact form, have to leave an email hoping for a response (and a few never did respond), or call them and hope they answer. This place is definitely the opposite. Having everything so accessible and allowing customers to self-serve via their portal and website is so nice and allowed me as the customer to feel like I can take some charge of the process and what I need. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place to visit for any jewelry needs! The customer service is very personable and great, they're one of the few places that I could find to cut my gemstone, and the online accessibility is so convenient. The chain is really delicate, so they did charge me $45 so that they could put another layer of gold over it to make it a bit more sturdy. I liked that they were proactive about that and let me know! They put great deal of care into measuring my wrist and making things just right. The bracelet was ready to pickup within a week and looks even better than how I left it! It fits perfectly and I am so grateful. They also have a VERY sweet dog who roams around the shop. I had a great time with the pup while they pulled up my order and info in the back.

My engagement shoot got moved up unexpectedly so I not only needed to get my ring cleaned but the center stone seemed to be loose. So I called up Frank at Mallinak to see if he could help in my time crunch. I left him a voicemail since he was on vacation and got a return call the moment he got back. Even tho he had so much going on returning from a vacation, he was happy to squeeze me in to see if he could help me out. Upon getting there Frank and his team were so friendly and welcomed me in open arms. Frank explained what the issue was with my ring and fixed it in no time flat! While Frank was working on my ring his team was so friendly and talked to me the whole time, the time flew by. Frank cleaned two rings and fixed my engagement ring, I was in and out in 30 minutes. He didn't charge me to clean the rings but simply the repair, and was sooo affordable! So thankful Frank was able to help me in such short notice. However, the staff there told me there was no record of the gift card and claimed the gift card did not exist in the system after checking some index card file she had at the desk. She then questioned the origins of the card and told me to go get a receipt for the purchase of the gift card. Why do I need to present a receipt for the gift card I received as a gift? This was so laughably outrageous that I left. Don't patronize this shop, they take the cash from gift card sales and refuse to honor the gift card when you try to redeem it. It is a total scam. They take your money and pretend the gift card doesn't exist. I would not recommend even setting foot in this unreasonable store. ​​​​

We asked what kind of security and for whose benefit. He replied that it was required by the franchise and that he was simply following instructions. We told them that we would not surrender our personal information just to browse and decided to leave. There were no signs posted anywhere indicating that personal information would be required upon entry. The entire experience felt strange and uncomfortable--frankly, it was weird.

I had a project vision and Marlow's helped me bring it to life. I had the previous stone removed as it wasn't salvageable and replaced it with a Ruby Star Sapphire (mine and my mom's favorite), which they helped me by sourcing. They brought in a few choices and allowed me to pick which stone I felt best fit the project. The basket required reshaping and extra work, but they did it so that the Star Sapphire fits beautifully. I love that I can carry around a piece of my mom. The ring shines and the sapphire has three star lines with indoor lighting and one distinct bright star in the sun. I highly recommend Marlow's if you are needing someone to go above and beyond on a project! They truly excel in their craft and all staff are extremely warm and welcoming.
