The customer service here is terrible. I just went yesterday for lunch since I was in the area. The girl behind the food counter was gone for about 5 minutes after I walked in and when she came back, she couldn't be bothered to politely ask me what I wanted to order, she just stood there and looked at me. After I gave her my order, I asked if they had tortillas and she just shook her head. Once my food was packed, she scooted me over to the other counter to pay. The girl there walked up as if she was taking a stroll through a park with food in her hand and chewing while she asked me if I wanted anything else. I told her I wanted to order a large cacao drink with ice and she just rolled her eyes and walked to the cooler to pour my drink. All in all, an order of steak, rice and beans, fried cheese, sweet plantains, and a large drink, ended up costing me $26. Ridiculous pricing for garbage customer service and mediocre food. read more

This Pinolandia in WPB is just not authentic. They now have different people, they don't know how to make Gallo pinto, they are always out of plaintains or something, the carne asada meal used to be $9! Every time i go they change the price without notice. Last time was $12 and just two days ago it went up to $16 without the fried cheese!!! Price is ridiculous. I went two days ago and bought 3 carne asada and one with cheese to go, when I got home- no kidding the one with cheese smelled rotten! It was terrible! Wasted $20 on trash. The next day the whole room smelled rotten!! It smelled sour! The food was not good at all. I had bought a nacatamal- straight garbage. No meat at all it was all Masa. I'm so disappointed, terrible experience. I will not be returning to this location. read more

The service at this place is terrible, the cook does all the work and packs the food while the other lady hides from her work duties. This is the third time I try to come into the store to order food and stand there repeatedly ask are you guys open or closed and no one says anything. I am so glad we found this place! The food has been absolutely delicious every time. They don't skimp on portions either, plenty of meal for the price. The staff is very kind, answering questions about the food and making sure we get everything we want. This is a gem, and I couldn't recommend it more. I normally drive down to the one in Miami on 119 because they haven't not failed me in 10 years. I was so excited with this new location, but since it's open I have eaten there 3 times (past 5 years) and every time the food is horrible. Meat is rough and rice is hard. They gave me jugo de melon with sunny delight. Smh read more

What a good place for Nicaraguan food. While in the wall place located in a strip mall close to the airport. Queso Frita is excellent here cooked to perfection. Staff doesn't speak a lot of English but that s what I look for when I'm eating Latin food. The less English the better for me. Cafeteria style place. I love this place! Everytime I am near this area I gotta come down here to have some. I was introduced to Fritangas about 6 years ago by a good friend. There are a couple of these restaurants in Broward and the most famous near Marlins Park. Happy I don't have to drive an hour plus to get the same type of food. The portions are very good and the food is always on point! The one thing I will say is that service can be hit or miss but I will tolerate it when it comes to this amazing food. read more

Nobody wants crunchy ass rice. Stop trying to recycle rice! It's wrong! The carne asada was fire but, the repollo was trash and the rice was two days old mixed with some new rice. WE CAN TELL. After recently moving to West Palm Beach, I was searching for a taste of home. Luckily, I found a local Fritanga close to home. I enjoyed a traditional Nicaraguan nacatamal, a little bit spicier than the ones I've tried in the past. Still great to see that the flavors of my heritage can be found in PBC. It has good food, good Nicaraguan cheese and good frescos.... yet the service was a problem it was not busy at all when we got there visiting from NC it was the first place we found for our Nicaraguan food craving but the girl was really rude almost like she did not want to wait on us. Really bad service which is a shame since I was with three other non-Nicaraguan friends and it was definitely a not good impression. read more

She is used to Mexican tamales but said these really hit the spot! The only blemish on the nice was her second margarita which was the cucumber one which she didn't like at all. However, the first one she ordered (pictured) which was a different flavor was a show stopper.

I'm from Nicaragua and the food is good, the price is very reasonable. It satisfies the craving for Nicaraguan food. We went this weekend and a man served us and he was extremely rude, we felt like he didn't want to be there and almost thew the food at us. We felt very uncomfortable and decided to take our food with us instead of eating there. I'm very disappointed, especially being from Nicaragua, I would have liked a better service and friendlier people working there. I definitely think this is the worst my husband and I have been treated at a restaurant. Next time we will think twice before going there again. read more

Cheese and carne asada are okay but the service is terrible! Gallo pinto lacked beans and was basically just rice, and the service was just awful. Owner of this restaurant, how can you maintain people like that on staff and expect to run a successful business? I haven't gone back. read more

The arepa was cooked perfectly, almost as good as my grandmothers. The protein amount was generous. I also added two fried eggs which were also cooked great. 5/5 ($10.95 + $2 for fried eggs) Awesome spot with authentic Venezuelan food. It's a shame I don't live close because I'd be in here all of the time. I definitely want to bring my family to try and if you want real Venezuelan food I recommend coming here!

Turned out that on Sundays, they don't have their regular chicken soup available. However, they do have a Sunday special of Hen Soup (gallina), so that's what I ordered. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich. The soup came in a large bowl. There was ample chicken with various vegetables in it -- some of which I didn't know what they were. I could identify the cabbage and I think a lot of large chunks of either yucca or some sort of potato. The broth was good -- made better when I added some lime juice to it. In addition to the soup, alongside was served a very plain and bland arepa and a hunk of fresh avocado. They also had a small cup of vinegary chopped onions and peppers on the plate. My husband's sandwich turned out to be more like a chicken salad sandwich with a mix of chicken, mayo, and avocado mashed together. He said it was okay. To go, he got a small container of their passion fruit mousse dessert. He ate that later at home. He said that was very good. We were here once many, many years ago. Since then, we've passed by many times and said we needed to return. If we come back, I'd like to try some of their other arepas.

And the parking lot out front is very busy. Past the entrance, there's a sit down dining room and even a full bar. We seated ourselves. They brought over menus. It helps to have a bit of Spanish here. I ordered their shrimp in garlic sauce (camarones al ajillo). The shrimp in sauce was on a separate plate. For sides, it came with yellow rice mixed with veggies and sweet plantains (maduro) . I could have scooped up the garlic sauce with a spoon -- absolutely delicious! The shrimp were firm and fresh. The plantains nicely caramelized and sweet. My husband got a beef steak with onions. He said it was a little dry. I happily shared some of my garlic sauce with him. And that helped. I really want to go back and try some of their other dishes -- there were some things displayed that I didn't see on the printed menu. I'll remember this lunch for some time.
