I can't believe this place doesn't have more stars! The people are so sweet and I'm not sure what's not to love about the fritanga itself. We ordered queso frito, gallo pinto, maduros, chayote relleno, and a couple of drinks. Queso frito is always such a delicious treat and the agua de tamarindo with the chia seeds in it was sooo refreshing. The super sweet people who worked here offered us several drinks to try (all made in-house!) and even brought us out a little dessert on the house, which was delicious. Between the quality of the food and the quality of the people, this place is a gem! read more

absolutely not. i went because im from miami and hadnt had a nicarauan fritanga experience in forever. someone had recommended it to me, but boy did it disappoint. and worse was i had terrible cravings. not going back or recommending anytime sooon. read more

The customer service here is terrible. I just went yesterday for lunch since I was in the area. The girl behind the food counter was gone for about 5 minutes after I walked in and when she came back, she couldn't be bothered to politely ask me what I wanted to order, she just stood there and looked at me. After I gave her my order, I asked if they had tortillas and she just shook her head. Once my food was packed, she scooted me over to the other counter to pay. The girl there walked up as if she was taking a stroll through a park with food in her hand and chewing while she asked me if I wanted anything else. I told her I wanted to order a large cacao drink with ice and she just rolled her eyes and walked to the cooler to pour my drink. All in all, an order of steak, rice and beans, fried cheese, sweet plantains, and a large drink, ended up costing me $26. Ridiculous pricing for garbage customer service and mediocre food. read more

Anytime I'm in South Florida, I have to hit up a Nicaraguan joint for food. I found this place in the area. I walked in first to make sure the place looked clean. It definitely met my standards. Clean eating area, food serving area and restrooms. The place smelt amazing, like carne asada upon entering. Now to the food. I ordered gallo pinto, tajadas, carne asada and queso frito. It was delicious! The Gallo pinto was on point- perfect texture. The meat was full of flavor and tender. Cheese was delicious. To drink I got cacao and it was great! I would definitely recommend this place. read more

This Pinolandia in WPB is just not authentic. They now have different people, they don't know how to make Gallo pinto, they are always out of plaintains or something, the carne asada meal used to be $9! Every time i go they change the price without notice. Last time was $12 and just two days ago it went up to $16 without the fried cheese!!! Price is ridiculous. I went two days ago and bought 3 carne asada and one with cheese to go, when I got home- no kidding the one with cheese smelled rotten! It was terrible! Wasted $20 on trash. The next day the whole room smelled rotten!! It smelled sour! The food was not good at all. I had bought a nacatamal- straight garbage. No meat at all it was all Masa. I'm so disappointed, terrible experience. I will not be returning to this location. read more

first time I was searching for Nacatamales and I found this place ... terrible watery undercooked dough ( la masa espantosa ) llena de agua very unhealthy they rushed to make it ! extremely disappointed and service by a woman really bad blaming the the person who made the Nacatamales and saying that I need a day after to eat it then so the dough get ready ? really? how terrible and damages unhealthy respond ... this place can be closed for sale unhealthy food ! horrible ... pictures in my phone if u need it ... and by the way with the answer thta I have to wait one day to eat it ???? I am so glad we found this place! The food has been absolutely delicious every time. They don't skimp on portions either, plenty of meal for the price. The staff is very kind, answering questions about the food and making sure we get everything we want. This is a gem, and I couldn't recommend it more. It is cemented as one of our regular spots now. read more

I normally drive down to the one in Miami on 119 because they haven't not failed me in 10 years. I was so excited with this new location, but since it's open I have eaten there 3 times (past 5 years) and every time the food is horrible. Meat is rough and rice is hard. They gave me jugo de melon with sunny delight. Smh read more

What a good place for Nicaraguan food. While in the wall place located in a strip mall close to the airport. Queso Frita is excellent here cooked to perfection. Staff doesn't speak a lot of English but that s what I look for when I'm eating Latin food. The less English the better for me. Cafeteria style place. I had the shredded beef with beans and rice what a tasty dish. I highly recommend this place for a true foodie read more

I love this place! Everytime I am near this area I gotta come down here to have some. I was introduced to Fritangas about 6 years ago by a good friend. There are a couple of these restaurants in Broward and the most famous near Marlins Park. Happy I don't have to drive an hour plus to get the same type of food. The portions are very good and the food is always on point! The one thing I will say is that service can be hit or miss but I will tolerate it when it comes to this amazing food. read more

Nobody wants crunchy ass rice. Stop trying to recycle rice! It's wrong! The carne asada was fire but, the repollo was trash and the rice was two days old mixed with some new rice. WE CAN TELL. After recently moving to West Palm Beach, I was searching for a taste of home. Luckily, I found a local Fritanga close to home. I enjoyed a traditional Nicaraguan nacatamal, a little bit spicier than the ones I've tried in the past. Still great to see that the flavors of my heritage can be found in PBC. It has good food, good Nicaraguan cheese and good frescos.... yet the service was a problem it was not busy at all when we got there visiting from NC it was the first place we found for our Nicaraguan food craving but the girl was really rude almost like she did not want to wait on us. Really bad service which is a shame since I was with three other non-Nicaraguan friends and it was definitely a not good impression. read more

Strong restaurants understand that service recovery matters just as much as the meal. There's a reason establishments like The Capital Grille or Flagler Steakhouse have earned reputations for professionalism and customer care. I'm from Nicaragua and the food is good, the price is very reasonable. It satisfies the craving for Nicaraguan food. We went this weekend and a man served us and he was extremely rude, we felt like he didn't want to be there and almost thew the food at us. We felt very uncomfortable and decided to take our food with us instead of eating there. I'm very disappointed, especially being from Nicaragua, I would have liked a better service and friendlier people working there. I definitely think this is the worst my husband and I have been treated at a restaurant. Next time we will think twice before going there again. read more

It looked like a Hawaiian hot dog--pineapple, pink sauce, chips on top--so I assumed it was mine and ate it. However, when the rest of the food arrived over 20 minutes later, my husband realized he'd been given a Hawaiian hot dog instead of the Choriperro he ordered. We told the waitress, who took the plate back, but the manager came over and insisted that what I'd eaten was a Choriperro, not a Hawaiian hot dog. Despite me explaining that I'd already eaten the Hawaiian hot dog, she argued and refused to replace my husband's order with what he originally wanted. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the manager returned to our table carrying a tray with an uncooked regular hot dog and a Choriperro to "teach" us the difference, as though we were clueless. It was humiliating and unnecessary. Yes, I mistakenly ate the wrong hot dog because it was covered in so many condiments that I didn't realize it was the Choriperro--but that's precisely why the staff should have helped fix the mix-up rather than argue and try to "educate" me. Rather than provide good customer service, the manager chose to belittle and embarrass us in front of the restaurant. My husband ended up eating a hot dog he didn't want or enjoy, and we left feeling humiliated and angry. I would never return to La Perrada del Gordo and absolutely do not recommend it to anyone. A simple mistake could have been handled kindly and professionally, but instead, the staff made it the worst dining experience I've ever had.
