I can't believe this place doesn't have more stars! The people are so sweet and I'm not sure what's not to love about the fritanga itself. We ordered queso frito, gallo pinto, maduros, chayote relleno, and a couple of drinks. Queso frito is always such a delicious treat and the agua de tamarindo with the chia seeds in it was sooo refreshing. The super sweet people who worked here offered us several drinks to try (all made in-house!) and even brought us out a little dessert on the house, which was delicious. Extremadamente mal servicio son maleducados. Tienen tres diferentes horarios. Y simplemente no le importa atender a Fuente. El peor Pinolandia de todos. Bad service, bad attitude, workers have no education on customer service . 3 different operating times. Door & online. They stop attending costumers whenever they want. absolutely not. i went because im from miami and hadnt had a nicarauan fritanga experience in forever. someone had recommended it to me, but boy did it disappoint. and worse was i had terrible cravings. not going back or recommending anytime sooon. read more

The customer service here is terrible. I just went yesterday for lunch since I was in the area. The girl behind the food counter was gone for about 5 minutes after I walked in and when she came back, she couldn't be bothered to politely ask me what I wanted to order, she just stood there and looked at me. After I gave her my order, I asked if they had tortillas and she just shook her head. Once my food was packed, she scooted me over to the other counter to pay. The girl there walked up as if she was taking a stroll through a park with food in her hand and chewing while she asked me if I wanted anything else. I told her I wanted to order a large cacao drink with ice and she just rolled her eyes and walked to the cooler to pour my drink. All in all, an order of steak, rice and beans, fried cheese, sweet plantains, and a large drink, ended up costing me $26. Ridiculous pricing for garbage customer service and mediocre food. read more

Anytime I'm in South Florida, I have to hit up a Nicaraguan joint for food. I found this place in the area. I walked in first to make sure the place looked clean. It definitely met my standards. Clean eating area, food serving area and restrooms. The place smelt amazing, like carne asada upon entering. Now to the food. I ordered gallo pinto, tajadas, carne asada and queso frito. It was delicious! The Gallo pinto was on point- perfect texture. The meat was full of flavor and tender. Cheese was delicious. To drink I got cacao and it was great! This Pinolandia in WPB is just not authentic. They now have different people, they don't know how to make Gallo pinto, they are always out of plaintains or something, the carne asada meal used to be $9! Every time i go they change the price without notice. Last time was $12 and just two days ago it went up to $16 without the fried cheese!!! Price is ridiculous. I went two days ago and bought 3 carne asada and one with cheese to go, when I got home- no kidding the one with cheese smelled rotten! It was terrible! Wasted $20 on trash. The next day the whole room smelled rotten!! It smelled sour! The food was not good at all. I had bought a nacatamal- straight garbage. No meat at all it was all Masa. I'm so disappointed, terrible experience. I will not be returning to this location. read more

I am so glad we found this place! The food has been absolutely delicious every time. They don't skimp on portions either, plenty of meal for the price. The staff is very kind, answering questions about the food and making sure we get everything we want. This is a gem, and I couldn't recommend it more. It is cemented as one of our regular spots now. read more

I normally drive down to the one in Miami on 119 because they haven't not failed me in 10 years. I was so excited with this new location, but since it's open I have eaten there 3 times (past 5 years) and every time the food is horrible. Meat is rough and rice is hard. They gave me jugo de melon with sunny delight. Smh read more

What a good place for Nicaraguan food. While in the wall place located in a strip mall close to the airport. Queso Frita is excellent here cooked to perfection. Staff doesn't speak a lot of English but that s what I look for when I'm eating Latin food. The less English the better for me. Cafeteria style place. I had the shredded beef with beans and rice what a tasty dish. I highly recommend this place for a true foodie read more

I love this place! Everytime I am near this area I gotta come down here to have some. I was introduced to Fritangas about 6 years ago by a good friend. There are a couple of these restaurants in Broward and the most famous near Marlins Park. Happy I don't have to drive an hour plus to get the same type of food. The portions are very good and the food is always on point! The one thing I will say is that service can be hit or miss but I will tolerate it when it comes to this amazing food. read more

I enjoyed a traditional Nicaraguan nacatamal, a little bit spicier than the ones I've tried in the past. Still great to see that the flavors of my heritage can be found in PBC. It has good food, good Nicaraguan cheese and good frescos.... yet the service was a problem it was not busy at all when we got there visiting from NC it was the first place we found for our Nicaraguan food craving but the girl was really rude almost like she did not want to wait on us. Really bad service which is a shame since I was with three other non-Nicaraguan friends and it was definitely a not good impression. read more

Whoever was in the kitchen should have known better than to serve that slop. It's an embarrassment to the establishment to even have put that into the window to be given to a customer. There's absolutely no way the person in the kitchen knows what they're doing with Latin food if that was served. It deeply saddened me to say I'll never go back to this place again. I'm from Nicaragua and the food is good, the price is very reasonable. It satisfies the craving for Nicaraguan food. We went this weekend and a man served us and he was extremely rude, we felt like he didn't want to be there and almost thew the food at us. We felt very uncomfortable and decided to take our food with us instead of eating there. I'm very disappointed, especially being from Nicaragua, I would have liked a better service and friendlier people working there. I definitely think this is the worst my husband and I have been treated at a restaurant. Next time we will think twice before going there again. read more

But I noticed her smiling and engaging in friendly conversation with two customers sitting at the bar. I noticed this difference from how she treated us vs these other guest throughout the entire time. With them she was smiling, engaging and not in any flirtatious way, but seemingly just being nice....being a good waiter. Clearly she was choosing NOT to be nice to us, and this bothered me internally because I did not know why. Our friendly greeter from when we arrived was seen serving another table and whose behavior was consistently friendly with everyone. So why the difference with our waiter I kept asking myself. I still gave a generous tip despite this service. It was important to me to do so, but I probably won't be back here, and this would have been a nice place to go back to with mi amor.

Most people dining here were Spanish speaking, but you should be comfortable if you don't know the language. My husband decided to have a pupusa with beef and cheese along with a salad. The salad came out first. It was a plate of lettuce with tomatoes and cucumbers and some ranch dressing. His pupusa came with coleslaw. And they put a container of thin red sauce on the table for us to share. He said he thought the pupusa was good. He also got a passion fruit drink, medium size, to have with his meal. I had to try the "squash flower" one (per Melodie's review) so I ordered the loroco pupusa. I looked this up to see what these flower buds looked like. As mentioned online, this unique green vegetable was a bit crunchy and reminded me of a broccoli stalk or asparagus spear. But it is unique to El Salvador and used in Salvadorean cooking in many different ways. There was more cheese than loroco in the pupusa. It was fine. I'm glad I tried it. But I also ordered a "mixed" pupusa (revueltas) of pork, beans, and cheese and this one was the better tasting of the two, I thought. Of course, I put the slaw on top of the pupusa and sauce on top of that (as I'd learned from Melodie) and that really makes the whole experience in one delicious bite. I didn't realize how large the pupusas would be, so I'd also ordered a coctail de camarones. Not to be confused with an American shrimp cocktail, I'd had these when they've been made like shrimp ceviche or like the one I had here. The cooked shrimp was mixed in a remoulade dressing (mayo based) and topped with pico de gallo and avocado pieces. It was very good. It was served in a sundae glass. And came with a package of crackers, as well. Now that we've come here to try their pupusas, I'd also like to try one of their signature soups and other meal specials. Prices are quite reasonable. Please note: This isn't fast food as everything is cooked to order, so just be prepared if you're really hungry for a short wait.
