I'm visiting the Foodie & Cocktail BFF and we're looking for a post dinner place in Fr. Lauderdale…read morewhere we can catch up over some cocktails on a weekday night. Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!

The staff is attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell they genuinely care about the experience. What really sets this place apart is chef E.J. ; The dishes just keep coming, and every single one hits. The cornbread alone is worth the visit--hands down the best I've ever had. Sweet and savory, perfectly soft, and just melts in your mouth. It's the kind of dish you end up talking about long after you leave. I also tried one of the night specials, the jerk chicken pasta, and it was flawless. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and packed with flavor without being overwhelming. Honestly, I have zero negative remarks. Everything--from service to food to atmosphere--was dialed in. 10/10. I'll definitely be back.

I wanted to support a black owned business and hear some jazz while in Florida, so I found this place. The host was a gorgeous man with dreads who let me know that since I didn't have a reservation I would be at the bar. I didn't mind and made friends with the girl next to me. There were mostly couples there but the saxophonist, Ross was great. The drinks were strong and the food I ordered was good. The only downside was how long the food took, but I would come back if in Florida again. I enjoyed myself and would recommend for people looking for a date night location or a more upscale experience who appreciate jazz. I also met one of the owners Kedan, who was very cute.

The questions were difficult but we made it through and won a small prize for second place. Service was beyond friendly, and we chatted with one of the owners who was super welcoming. The small bites are well done and the limited heartier options are satisfying enough to make it a full evening out rather than just a stop for a quick drink. The wine list offers a strong range across regions and styles, though I'd love to see an extra Italian red or two added. The servers are friendly and clearly know their wine, offering helpful suggestions without being pushy. A relaxed and polished spot for unwinding with a great glass of wine.

So here is the skinny:…read more Food: 6 s Staff: 6s Cleanliness: 6s Location: 6s Let's begin: it's located in a little strip mall area in plantation there's a barber shop near, karate shop but that's besides the point.... These people are great. They are friendly and polite and know their business. The meals I have are amazingly well made and flavorful. They are hearty and servings are big enough to be shared (if y'alls want). The place is classic looking and the decore is very nice and smartly done and very clean.... I always judge by washrooms. Their pizza are great and pastas are really fresh made. The wine is my favorite. They have deep reds, fruity reds, whites and my absolute favorite the moscato it is fruity with a hint of pear and / or probably peach. I just love it always take a bottle with me when I leave... so yummmm... Ok so there you have it, great little restaurant hidden away in plantation which is great because as they say the bigger a restaurant is, the less quality you get. This is a mom and pop place and they take pride in their food and care of their customers. As I always say: "Try it first and decide for yourself, you'll never know unless you do" Be safe - peace out.

It felt like home. We ordered beef arancini, garlic rolls and each ordered lasagna. The beef arancini is not something I ever order, but my friend wanted it. I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was served hot and delicious. It had some nice beef and herbs in a hot outer rice encasement. The sauce that came with it was vibrant and excellent. The garlic rolls were very good. They are not too garlicky and that works for me. You can order them in 6 or 12 increments. We each loved the lasagna. The sauce is excellent. The cheese is excellent. This restaurant is phenomenal. Pricing is very fair. There is a lot of parking up front.

It was Valentine's Day and pretty crowded but we really enjoyed our time and our meal. We started with the LobsterBisque which was creamy, full of flavor and the corn really gave it the bit of texture needed. It's a bisque but I would have added a few chunks of lobster more. It was a bit light in that area but still delicious. For drinks, we had espresso and lychee martinis which were divine. I live for the scallops at Seasons 52 and it's my regular dish when I go. This dish did not disappoint. Perfectly seared and seasoned with a squeeze of lemon. You can't miss. The hubs had the surf and turf which was equally as good. The steak cut like butter and the lobster was delicious. We got the Mac n cheese for the table and, again, creamy yuminess. I would definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion. I love the seasonal items. Make sure to call ahead for reservations or book on OpenTable to avoid lines.

The ambiance of the place is lovely, decorated with string lighting that looks so gorgeous at night. The patio area is much bigger than I anticipated and even has some larger tables for any larger parties. We started off with an appetizer of the peach burrata, which was tasty! I would give it 4/5. We then got wine flights which I thought were such a great value for the price. You get 3 small sized wine glasses for $15 and get to sample three wines! Definitely recommend this 5/5. As entrees, we shared two entrees - the pesto pasta and the gnocchi which at the time was made with a pork type of sauce. Both were very delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors of both. The consistency of the gnocchi's sauce was a bit interesting, as it was all sort of blended together, but the flavor was very good! Would give them each 4/5. We ended the night with tiramisu - delicious and the presentation was very cute. I haven't had very much tiramisu to compare against, but I'll give it 5/5 as I really enjoyed it! As for service, our waitress was very attentive and nice but note that they can get busy on weekend evenings, so expect a little bit of a wait. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed the food. My favorite part of the night were the ambiance and the wine flights. I hope to come back again soon!
