I honestly don't know how there could be any bad reviews of this place. I've been there 100 times and have never had a bad meal or bad service or anything. It's one of the best kept secrets in town and the food is downright amazing. Sunday brunch with their Down South eggs benedict is one that should win awards on tv shows. Love this place. Tried this restaurant it was not bad. Waiter seemed stoned but he was nice. Food was hot. My dish best of both worlds was blanned but chicken was good. Garlic bread was ok kids pizza was tasty. there was no one eating there for a saturday afternoon and they didnt have a cold beer glasses. Beer was served in bottle. I would actually have preffered to eat at Olive Garden. My husband liked his carbonara. Salad was good. Oh the soup minestrone was pretty good. read more

This place is awful, I am shocked that people would give it such great reviews. I have not been to the new location but visited the main street location several times. It was shabby. They always had a few light bulbs out (literally) which just told me that they don't pay attention to the details. As for the service, THE WORTH SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD on more than one occasion. During one dinner, my water was empty before my dinner was even served and it was never filled back up. Our server never even came to our table after taking our order. Someone else brought the food, she never came to check on us and we had to beg someone to give us the bill when we were finished. They should be ashamed! read more

I gave it one star because I ordered a Gin & Tonic which cost $8 which was within 50 cents of each meal we bought. I have never paid $8 for a Gin & Tonic at a restaurant in Longmont or for that matter any restaurant I've been to. I told the waiter and he said that they had only one kind of Gin -Tangueray which is supposededly a premium Gin. This restaurant should have the policy of telling its customers that they have no choice in Gin selection and that a drink costs $8. I would never have orderd the drink if I had known the cost. Mixed review. Starting off the service was not great. Our server was charming but inattentive. My husband did not have a fork to eat his salad and asked for one and the server said he would go get one but got side tracked talking to friends at the bar and never brought it. We stole one from the vacant table next to us. Our server mentioned forks again when our entrees came but did not acknowledge his error before. Another server refilled a soda with Coke instead of Dr Pepper and didn't even offer a correction when we pointed it out! The food was fine and quite a good value. For $8.95 you get a crisp, fresh salad, garlic bread stick that was perfectly soft & tasty and a large calzone. They didn't charge us for any of our drinks. Maybe b/c of the error with the coke but I get the impression they just forgot. Overall, the place is a little off putting. The ambiance is more like a casual brunch place but the menu has $15 veal and similar dishes. They also have a breakfast menu that is reasonably priced that they serve till 1:00 which is a plus. The whole concept is a little scattered and the menu is somewhat pretentious considering the atmosphere. We'll try it again but based on other reviews they need to reel in their staff. read more

Able to order customized cocktails and entrées. Chefs make sauces to order as can the bartender. I special ordered a salad made to my spec's. Delicious. Definitely returning to try out Annie's chicken specialty for dinner. Waiter super nice, accommodating and took pride in the restaurant. And a special thanks for NOT playing Deano or Frankie; Norah Jones et al were perfect lunch accompaniment. Hubbies house Chianti very smooth. His meatball sandwich bread very lightly toasted, raves. The bread sticks soft on inside, just the right amount of crunch on the outside, lightly coated so as to not overwhelm the bread. Ambience not over the top cliché Italian, checked tablecloths but no Chianti bottle candlesticks, thank goodness. Very clean. Prices? Please. Go to Boulder if you think these are high, you'll soon be back here. This is a very, very large step above a generic pizza and spaghetti diner. read more

Very disappointed with the veal 508. The "smokey sauce" was more like tangy, verging on rancid. The vegetables were either canned or overcooked to a mulch. Only two rubbery slices of portobello. Atmosphere was unremarkable. Service was standard. I expect there are better opportunities for Italian here. Perhaps I'm jaded by the quality of Italian food in Northern Virginia and DC. read more

Being National Meatball Day, I decided to go here with the wife for a meatball sandwich. Totally uninspired sandwich, kind of dry and needed more marinara. My wife's spaghetti was store bought pasta. Not much effort put into their meals. Ragazzi is a much better choice for Italian food. read more

When the waitress came back to our table about twenty minuets after taking our order and asked "did I take your order", we should have known this wasn't going to be the greatest of experiences. After waiting an hour and a half for our food and seeing customers who came in after us order, eat and leave, we got up and left. I used to eat at Pinocchio's when it was on Main St. a lot. It was hands down the best Italian food in town. Then they moved. I don't know what happened. I have been to the new location twice. I won't be going back. The place wasn't busy, about 7 people. The service was lacking... took about 15 minutes to get our drinks, and over 45 minutes to get our meal. We had to ask for our bread 3 times, and they finally delivered it at the end of our meal. The breadsticks were not what I would consider real bread sticks. They reminded me of Pillsbury poppin fresh breadsticks out of the can. Mostly air. I had the chicken parmesan. It was bland, hardly any taste at all. My friend had the chicken alfredo. It tasted okay, but absolutely no presentation. Just all globbed in a bowl. Drink refills were almost non existent. Had to ask and then remind the waitress twice. I don't know what is happening at this restaurant. I use to go here with groups, on a date and for family dinner. The service is always ok. But the food gets more and more bland and sometimes just strange. "Pinocchio Sticks - Our signature breadsticks drizzled with olive oil and garlic... $2.99 Add a side of our sundried tomato pesto cream for dipping $2.00." They have forgotten to take add the garlic when drizzled the bread the last several visits. Sundried tomato pesto is tomatoes only, no herbs and I can't even begin to guess where the cream was. "Lightly breaded chicken breast baked with cheese, atop a bed of fettucini alfredo with a dollop of marinara..." Why you would add marinara to fettucine alfredo I am not sure. But if you are going to put it in the bowl then why not over by the chicken. And by the way this was the exact same sauce that came with the breadsticks. I am sorry to say that whomever is making the decisions about the menu and food preparation for this restaurant they are making some very bad decisions. After enjoying this restaurant since it started on Main St. the relationship is over. I won't be back. read more

We arrived at 7:30 on a Friday evening and it was crowded - a good sign. This was our first trip to this restaurant. The hostess took our name and told us about 10 minutes for a table for two. There were 3 people waiting for a table prior to us. The hostess disappeared for extended periods of time and didn't check to see who was leaving and if there were open tables. Finally, one time the hostess returned, the group of 3 pointed out two empty tables and the hostess seated them. We then pointed out 3 empty tables (from having watched people leave). She said she didn't want to overwhelm the kitchen. That would have been believable had she been in the dining rooms where the empty tables were. But, she had not. Once we were seated - after waiting 25 minutes rather than 10 - the service was good and the food was good for the price. [The first of the 3 tables of 2 to open up did so after about 10 minutes.] We will probably give the place another chance. However, they need to hire a competent hostess, or split up her tasks and tell her that her job is to work the front of the house and not disappear into the kitchen. read more
