If you're looking for great pasta you'll find it here. Lexi makes everything fresh and I love her lasagna.

They also have wonderful French & Italian food items, and kitchen and dining ware. There are children's gifts, beeswax candles, gift wrap, gorgeous jigsaw puzzles, glassware, French table linens, aprons, and much, much more. It is worth the experience to visit this extraordinary shop! The building was formerly the Power & Communications Building, which Cheese Importers took over in 2012. The shop is gorgeous, and the buyers are fantastic, stocking it with so many beautiful items that you will not easily find in other shops or online. The staff is friendly and informative. The prices are very high, and I don't recommend buying items you can find in your local grocery store or gift shop, but if you find interesting, unique, and beautiful items that you love, then it is worth spending the money, in my opinion. This is a great place to find exceptional gifts, especially for someone who likes to entertain. Must take home a fresh French baguette and some caramels! There is a parking lot in the rear of the building.

But the market feel, the variety, the customer service, patio, cute atmosphere, selection, and warm baguettes made it quite the experience. We were impressed and I would drive all the way from Littleton to experience it again. We basically built ourselves a little picnic and sat outside on the patio to enjoy it all. Bring your own plates, utensils if you plan on doing what we did. We made do with the plastic knives and napkins from the bakery, but it would have been better if we came more prepared. Lovely.

I started with the burrata appetizer, which had beautiful flavors with the beets and citrus. It was absolutely delicious. For my main dish, I had the risotto, which was rich and perfectly cooked, topped with a poached egg that made it even more indulgent. Dessert was incredible. The lime tart cake was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to end the meal. The overall vibe was warm and inviting, making it a really enjoyable brunch experience. Our server was on top of everything which was wonderful.

It is a treat to have. Few places in northern Colorado can compare to the quality of food. I think it is on the level of Frasca and Flagstaff House for premier dining. We ordered from every part of the menu and were blown away how great the food was. The drinks were exceptional from the cocktail menu. We ordered a bottle of wine that will become part of our wine racks at home. Finally refreshing to find a restaurant that was actually worth the price. It may be off putting for some who come to an Italian restaurant wanting spaghetti and pizza. This is Italian fine dining. Unless you go to Italy or farm to table restaurants much of the description of food you won't understand. So trust the process and the chefs. The servers explain the menu and what they recommend for best bites. Just go with it and you will not be disappointed. This is Italian. You do get all of your food right away. It's an experience. Italians take hours for their meals (not every day like Americans generally think) so don't expect to be in and out in less than an hour. Enjoy it. It's expensive. But in the age of restaurant prices skyrocketing, you can easily go to a mediocre restaurant and still spend 150 dollars for subpar food that is not worth it (most of Colorado food). Here, you get presentations and tastes you cannot make on your own or experience often. So you pay for this. It's a treat.

Red Cedar Bistro - Pea shoot pesto pasta

Hello Longmont and Boulder County!…read more A quick check in here at Red Cedar Bistro on Main Street! We had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant today and had an absolutely wonderful experience! We ordered 4 plates three shareable and 1 entree. We were taken back by the green chili hummus! It was spectacular- a guacamole style flavor profile full of delicious chickpeas, chili and garlic. A generous portion served with pita , veggies and olives. Our Crispy potato Bravas were a delicious crispy cut potatoes cooked to perfection served with a brava sauce that was spicy, a small hint of smoke and a creamy aioli that was a perfect topper! We finished our small shareable with chef Bruschetta. Fantastic toasted bread topped with chefs choice. Our entree was a Pasta full of amazing Burrata, Pea shoot pesto and a fresh mint finish! Generous portions. Our service was exceptional and the restaurant was clean, large, open with a lot of windows and amazing art! We would not hesitate to suggest - No - encourage - Well - maybe more like - GO and visit them! Seriously, You will not be disappointed. They offer many evenings with specials, a happy hour that sounds fantastic especially for the upcoming spring/summer months! We look forward to seeing this restaurant busy! Side note restrooms are clean and reasonably sized.

I mean, the drip ceilings with too-bright can lights and nothing else makes for an awful vibe. I mean c'mon. Even putting cheap candled and some basic overhead lighting that adds interest to the space would go a LONG way. 2) Staff for the night, not based on bookings. Especially in a place like Longmont and the sheer size of the space (way too big), you must be prepared. Tonight (Sat) at peak time to have TWO servers and one apparent manager or owner (who didn't jump in to help handle tables) is absurd. Luckily, the young lady waiting tables and trying to make drinks was truly a delightful person. 3) Arrange the floor in a way that makes it feel more interesting. Break it up, smaller groupings, etc. The setup now feels completely amateur and random. Anyway, enough free (and unsolicited) advice. Truly, the food was VERY good, so make it pleasurable to be in the room and you'll do well!

First, I wish they had seating somewhere, but just the same, our first experience with this…read morebutcher/deli was very good. My husband has lived in Longmont for two decades, and I've been here for 5 years, but neither of us had ever gone into the store. Since we were already in the shopping center to try a new place yesterday, we went to Frank's afterwards. Bottom line, we've finally found our favorite deli in the area. If it wasn't snowing today, we'd go back for a sandwich. Since we weren't immediately hungry, we instead looked over the meat selection and then zeroed in on the deli counter. I purchased just a few sample items. A bagel (they say it's a NY bagel, and it does have the right texture! Just wish they had whole wheat); whitefish salad (better than any others I've encountered in the area); cole slaw (perfectly blended - not too watery, not too dry); and a canoli, which was flaky and sweet. The deli items have an East Coast feel like no other in the area that I've encountered. Better than anything I found in Lakewood, where I lived before. And, since we just got back from a visit to my Dad in Florida, this was a welcome sight! The soup they had as a special, as well as the sandwich special descriptions sounded yummy, so we will go back, maybe this weekend. The meats also look good, so we will likely try some in the weeks to come. Again, I wish they could somehow create a place, even outside, where we could sit to eat. We could then eat right away instead of having to go home first. But even with that inconvenience, we look forward to more encounters. The young man who helped us doesn't know much yet about the choices, but I'm sure if he stays there, he'll learn. He was pleasant and helpful, asking another employee when he didn't know an answer. It's already busy there, but yes, I recommend going and waiting to try their goods! It's worth the wait.

I came here with a group of 24 people FOR LUNCH and we were greeted warmly and each of us were treated like VIP's. Starting with the in-house made bread that was FRESH and crusty but soft inside. The bread was served with olive oil and was a a great way to kick off the meal. The menu has so many choices it's hard to choose what to try. I decided to start with the ZUPPA CAPRESE soup- $8 Roasted garlic, tomato and basil with melted mozzarella crostini. Mmm mmm good! EXCELLENT layering of fresh flavors. Next I got the lunch antipasti - appetizer with steak and fire roasted peppers and eggplant. The complexity of flavors was absolutely incredible. There was enough food to make a nice meal. I didn't need anything else! Alas, the linguine putanesca - Linguine, olives, capers, garlic, tomato basil sauce called my name and I could not say no. I added some grilled chicken for protein. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The sauce was so flavorful! My only complaints are that I probably had one or 2 olives total, once you add up the little pieces. Also, that chicken I added? $6 for 6 tiny little partial chicken strips. Overall, given the great flavor and excellent service, this is my new favorite Italian restaurant! Troy - thank you for making each of us feel welcome. Bravissimo, Caprese Trattoria! I'll be back!

Had all the usual suspects, escargot, calamari, veal piccata, veal parm, and chicken parm. I decided to try the special braciole beef rolls which I was thrilled to see on the menu. HUGE MISTAKE. Dry, overcooked lumps of beef with no flavor whatsoever. The visual should have been my first clue. I should have sent it back. I let the table try it and the consensus was that it was not edible. Not wanting to make a fuss, which I regret now, I waited till dessert to mention it to the waiter. He seemed skeptical. Since virtually it was intact I suggested that the kitchen try it. I only ate one of the doughy gnocchi and so the plate was intact with the pasta. He later came back and said they would discount it 50%. Better than nothing, but still not good enough. We eat here often and that was the only really big miss. They need to learn how to cook that dish or eliminate it from the menu. We are returning for another birthday this week, but we are all going to avoid any specials from now on. The gelato was superb! Really smooth and satisfying.
