I ordered the Thai Coconut Salad, and it was delicious--fresh, flavorful, and definitely something I'd get again. My husband went with the Buddha Bowl and mentioned it had a bit more spice than he was expecting, but still enjoyed it. Our daughter had the cheese pizza, which was good, though the crust was thinner than she prefers. We also had the lemonade and iced tea, both of which were really refreshing and a nice addition to the meal. When we arrived around 7:30pm on a Sunday, the place was surprisingly empty. Service was fine--nothing standout, but no complaints either. Overall, a solid, healthy option for a casual meal, especially if you're in the mood for something fresh and light.

I ordered a steak salad and specifically asked for no croutons, which was printed on the label on my salad, and guess what I got? Croutons. I can pick them off, yes, but why when I asked not to have them? I also was given the wrong salad dressing. Second, I ordered a side of mac and cheese and got home to find only a small corner of mac and cheese in the container. Sometimes I wonder what goes through the minds of people working in restaurants. Prepare customers' food like you would prepare your own. I certainly give second chances, but with the cost of eating out, it's hard to do when the standards seem to keep dropping.

It's family-owned, and you can really feel that when you walk in. There's such a warm, welcoming family feel, and the food makes you feel like you've stepped into Peru for the evening. We always love starting with the Papa a la Huancaina, and our daughter absolutely loves the Tallarín Saltado, which is a delicious steak and noodle dish. I had the Lomo Saltado this time, and it did not disappoint. Everything is always so flavorful and comforting. I tried the Maracuya Cocktail and it was perfection The service and ambiance is top-notch every time we come, which makes the experience even better. You can tell there is a lot of pride and heart behind this restaurant. I completely failed to take photos this time because we were too busy enjoying the food! Don't miss out on the flan! Best flan ever If you're looking for authentic Peruvian food and a place that feels like a true family-owned local gem, we highly recommend Rosario. It's one of those places we're always happy to come back to!

I miss it so much so decided to drive all the way to Longmont and get my fix. Needless to say, I'm bound to be disappointed with stark comparison. So it's not fair, I know, but I also won't knowingly just give away 5 stars when I've had so much better. True to Peruvian food is the various potatoes used in the dishes. Also a must get is the quinoa pancake. So subtly flavored and wonderful texture. Served fresh and hot off the skillet/griddle. The Lomo Saltado sadly can't compare to what we had locally. It's like this: if you want similar kind of beef, you can get a filet style stir fry at any Chinese restaurants. If you crave fries, you can get in any American food joints. There's nothing special holding these ingredients together. Service is exactly what you would expect from a family owned business: warm, friendly and down to earth. You can see how much pride they have based on just the decor and it is very nostalgic.

Ask about the passport - you can get your "countries" stamped as you try different dishes, which adds to the experience. It's mostly about the service, not the food - to the point that I've come in multiple times and not been served and had to go somewhere else to find a meal. It's one thing for the place to be popping and servers to be a little too busy for attentive service during Miss Jessica's drag trivia. It's another to be unable to find any server anywhere around 2 hours before close when there is nobody in the restaurant. The food I've had has been fine, but nothing notable and a couple of the fried dishes the table shared at trivia were pretty greasy. I will keep trying every so often and hope things turn around for them, but it's not on my list of places to send people or bring friends who come to town.
